Violet Boutique

So, I randomly started following Violet Boutique on Instagram. I believe they were on my «popular page». I noticed they had some really cute things and that they were opening a store in Georgetown.
Yesterday, I decided to venture out to Georgetown after work to check out the Boutique and it was well worth the trip!
Violet Boutique is everything I love in a boutique. First of all, the setup of the shop is so pretty and modern. Everything is pretty spaced out and the clothes are amazing. I love their jewelry! It’s so simple and beautiful. Also, the clothes in Violet are awesome. They have a lot of trendy pieces and everything is moderately priced. I believe everything is under $ 100.
I bought a tank dress and some cute black shoes, with fringe… my total was about $ 70, which isn’t bad for two items. I’ll probably go back sometime this week for another blue dress I tried on.
The customer service at Violet is GREAT! Everyone who works there is attentive, but NOT overbearing (I hate annoying store employees). I believe Violet provides personal styling which I love. I’ll probably go back when I need a birthday dress.
Violet Boutique is well worth the hike to Georgetown!

My favorite place to shop in DC. I have several dresses/​jeans/​shorts/​tops/​jewelry/​etc from here and I get complements on the pieces EVERY time I wear them! They have trendy, comfortable clothing at a reasonable price.
The owner is very nice and you can usually count on the staff to help you pick out an outfit while your there if you need something for an event or just for fun!
I’m excited about their upcoming move to Georgetown because they will be closer to me!

I’ve admired this shop from the street many times, and finally stopped by to check it out 2 weekends ago. They carry an adorable selection of trendy items, plus lots of great basics, all at great prices. Casual, work wear, party dresses — they had it all! I picked up 4 tops and a pair of earrings for around $ 100. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, but not pushy, and they even offered by husband and male friend in tow a beer or prosecco to sip on while they waited for me! The earrings I picked up here have been drawing tons of compliments every time I wear them — definitely worth more than their $ 15 price tag!
I’ll definitely be back to shop for myself and for gifts — but one of the employees mentioned the shop will be moving to Georgetown sometime soon. I’m sad it won’t be in walking distance of me anymore — but with Violet’s prices and selection, it will be worth the trip to Georgetown (which is saying a lot!).

Hiked to Adam’s Morgan on a very cold Wednesday in search for one thing, a party outfit. When i think of Adams Morgan, only alcohol and jumbo slice come to mind but there are actually a few good gems tucked away that have some cute things and Violet Boutique is one of them. I know that most stores are already transitioning into their spring collection (which is ridiculous because winter literally just started in DC) so finding a cocktail outfit for the season would be tough but their Sales associate Deneil went above and beyond to help me. I explained to Deneil what i was looking for and she immediately grabbed a bunch of dresses and some separates for me to try. As i was doing some of my own browsing i noticed that they have pretty much everything for any occasion in an array of sizes. The overall décor and the way they display their jewelry is adorable. After about 30 minutes of searching i went into the dressing room and noticed that most of the things picked were in my size but didn’t cater to my body type/​figure. I’m 5’2″ and have some curves which was a bit problematic for a few dresses so if you have a similar body type, keep in mind that each piece is cut differently since its a boutique and not a huge retail store. After about the 8^th item, i was just getting ready to throw in the towel until i mixed and matched a few pieces and VOILA! i finally had my party outfit. I was completely sold on it after Deneil’s stamp of approval and everyone at the party loved my outfit! Since the prices aren’t ridiculous i will definitely be back soon when i’m in need of some retail therapy.

I love shopping at Violet! Very affordable and always on trend. Everyone is incredibly helpful and friendly! Julie & co make a point to get to know all of their customers. Worth the visit :)

Two hours after walking in the door, I have left with a bag full of very flattering clothes. Julie served as my personal stylist, making for a fun afternoon.

Such a fun, little boutique in Adams Morgan. I was devastated the first time I attempted to go to find out they are closed on Mondays. (Insert sad face) Anywho, when we walked in we were greeted right away by all the associates and the store had all the essentials, scarfs, nail polish, jewelry etc. I was in boutique heaven. The prices are very reasonable and the selection is great.
I will definitely re-​visit this little gem!

I moved here in June, and my bank account is still recovering from the cross-​country move. I wore jeans and tees to work every day in my former job, but I knew I’d need to dress up once I moved to D.C. So what is a broke girl to do? Shop at the affordable, wonderfully fashionable Violet Boutique, of course.
I walked into the store expecting to just window shop, but I walked out with some beautiful shoes that were in my price range. I’d call that a success in itself, but I’m also planning to go back to Violet because the women who work there are extremely positive, nice and helpful. No high-​pressure sales here: I overheard one of the employees sincerely encourage a shopper to *not* to buy an outfit she felt unsure about, or at least take some time to think it over. «We want to you to love it,» she said. And I definitely believe them.

Cute boutique with some beautiful clothing and jewelry. I didn’t look at the clothes, but most of the jewelry was reasonable priced. A little bit on the funky side, but lots of pretty pieces.

The owner of the store reached out to me after seeing my review on Unilocal.She was kind, courteous, and solution-​oriented. We talked about my experience in the store with the return policy and she left me a gift card at the register. I also was invited to an in-​store party, to which I brought my sister AND made great use of the gift card.

My absolute favorite boutique ever! I love their merchandise and selections and it’s always a reasonable price.
Staff is always friendly and accommodating.
My boyfriend loves coming with me because he gets a free beer… which always allows me to buy more!

Went into Violet today after a long hiatus and I must say I’m impressed with their customer service. Julie (idk if she’s the owner or manager) remembered my review and was very apologetic about what happened to the items that were damaged in the wash and gave me a free pair or fleece lined leggings for the inconvenience! Bravo Violet for your excellent customer service. You’ve gained a customer for life!

Are you like me and feel like most stores in DC have no merchandise to choose from? Do you feel like you have to head up to NY or in my case CT to find fashions that suit you… and dare I say your budget? Or accessories that give you the pop you’re looking for?
Look no further. From this point on I will not need to wait until I go home to find cute clothes that are age appropriate, vibrant and doesn’t break a working class budget. Violet is what I’ve been looking for. Its a cute boutique with lovely shirts, dresses, shorts and accessories. and not at boutique prices! Most things are $ 30 (tops) to $ 60 (dresses) with some other higher priced ($ 150+) items sprinkled in between. Most importantly I feel like I won’t see a ton a people walking around in the same thing Im wearing.
Finally Paige and Jewlie are the sweetest. They were very helpful, pulled several items for me to try and with NO pressure to purchase. I of course ended up purchasing several things because they were fab. They have new merchandise every week so I never feel like I’m walking in seeing the same things.

My friend and I came here to check out this boutique in Adams Morgan. It opened back in 2011, and the selection of clothes and accessories were really cute! We were very surprised at the reasonable prices as I found out later that Violet is known for offering affordable items under $ 100 so everyone has access to them. They have tops (colorful t-​shirts, coats, sweaters, etc.), bottoms (pants, shorts, skirts), cute dresses (casual/​cocktail), purses, and accessories (scarves, earrings, bracelets, etc.). I especially loved the dresses, the pastel pink embroidered infinity scarf, and the bracelets as they were unique and very whimsical-​looking. I loved how colorful the place was: D Definitely a cute place to check out to peruse their selections!

I absolutely Love, Love Violet Boutique.
Every piece I have ever purchased from Violet Boutique has always been very Unique, Elegant, Beautiful and Chic. Most of my favorite items are from this boutique, there’s something very special and elaborately thought out about this Boutique, it has a lot of individuality and charm.
Surprisingly, the pieces are relatively very inexpensive. The customer service is also very above and beyond. They will help you place looks together (it comes in handy when you’re tired) give you specific garment care instruction on each purchase.
You Guys are amazing and probably will be on my top things to miss living in the area, Thank you and I wish you all the Success you deserve!

Voted as DC’s Best Clothing Boutique in 2013, Violet deserves the hype it’s been getting recently. The store is very organized, filled with trendy and affordable clothes, and run by friendly and helpful people. Heads up — they restock on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so make some time after work to swing by.

I have so many good things to say about this Boutique!
Clothes: Such cute clothes in there! They sell everything (for women) except shoes. They keep a good range of sizes in there. The prices are affordable, most items under $ 100.
Sales People: Julie was awesome! I told Julie I was going to Miami and she brought me a few options to try on and was just super helpful in general.
I love it! The place is very intimate but the salespeople don’t hound you if you say you don’t need help. I’ll most definitely be back soon!
(If they started serving champagne… that’d really set the whole atmosphere off. *fingers crossed*)
