We feel we have had our money and time stolen from us. Our experience was very similar to Angelita, Tykisha, Mia, etc. etc. Immediately after arrival «Mel» (Melchizedek Danford Maturlu) began to up sell us on «deep cleaning», etc. which is what we thought we paid for in the first place. Then Mel after telling us how well he is going to clean our carpet, does not even clean our carpet. We had to have our carpets cleaned after «Mel» had left by someone else. Yes, we paid twice to have our carpet cleaned once. If I were Mel I would be ashamed of myself for treating people this way. Especially since «Mel’ is supposed to be the founder of the «Bethel Central Church of Tanzania»? Avoid Twigga Carpet Pro, and choose another. You will save yourself money, and quite a bit of frustration.

Did a great job cleaning my 10 year old sofa. It’s still worn out, but it’s extremely clean, and I can tell the difference in how my allergies are reacting. Tried to upsell me a little to a more expensive service, but was very polite when I declined. Cleaned up after himself. Overall a great job.

Professional, fast, & friendly. We hired them for move-​out carpet cleaning & they got the job done & for only $ 50. Not bad for the price. Our carpet wasn’t very dirty to begin with, we mainly hired them because our property management company requires it before moving out. Our carpet is dark & they did a pretty good job.

I am very disappointed in the service that I received from Twiga Carpet cleaning service. I purchased a Groupon for 5 room cleaning service for $ 49. When the technician Mel, who is also the owner arrived, he informed me that I would need to have a deep cleaning done on my carpet and that my 12 stairs were not included in the Groupon special that I purchased. I had to pay an additional $ 150 on top of the $ 49 Groupon to have 3 rooms, 2 hallway, and stairs done. I looked at the carpet before Mel left and informed him that my carpet did not look clean and he said that I needed to wait until it dried. I informed him that I normally use Stanley Steamers carpet cleaners or rent the Big Green from Loews and do it myself every 3 to 4 months, which I can tell right away that the carpet is clean. After the carpet dried, it looked worse. You could see where he didn’t clean well and where the chemicals for the cleaning solution stained my carpet. I contacted the merchant a few days after the service had been rendered and informed him that my carpet was still dirty. I sent him pictures of the carpet. He informed me that he was going to come back and redo the service 3 weeks ago and never showed up or called. I contacted him again on last Saturday, November 21^st and informed him that I would like a full refund. He rudely informed me that he does not give refunds. I told him God is not going to bless his mess of a business. I am so upset with myself that I just didn’t go with Stanley Steamers or clean my own carpet. This is truly a lesson learn, unless you see the work, deal with a merchant that has a standing good reputation, or know someone who has had work done by a company, it is best to not go with these so called «special deals». Now I have to have my carpet cleaned again, so in the end, I am paying so much more money for this service.

I found them on LivingSocial advertising a deal for carpet cleaning and stain protection. Called prior to purchasing the deal and was told that even though I was in Leesburg and outside the service area they would still come out, and they could fit me in prior to Thanksgiving (I wanted the carpet cleaned prior to having people over for the holidays)… Both were huge pluses for me. There was some confusion the night before, as Mel (owner?) called and said I was outside the service area and they couldn’t come out… I repeated what I had been told when booking, and that seemed to be the end of the matter. Mel showed up later than planned, but not by too much and he did call me to let me know, which I appreciated. I was very nervous because I did not read the Unilocal reviews until after booking, and the reviews were all so bad. My white living room carpet looks 100% better and my experience was very positive, aside from the booking confusion.

I won’t give any star if I had the choice to do so. Worst service, worst customer service, the carpet looks the same as I they have done nothing. The boss is rude, talks over people, he brought an elderly employee that I really feel pity for him. He can barely lift the handle of the steamer… I am pretty much disappointed.
I would not recommend him to my enemy.

It took a long long time to get aCB. LVM 8÷18÷15 & 8÷20÷15 & ⁸⁄₂₂ & ⁸⁄₂₇ and multiple times before ⁸⁄₁₈ and between 8÷18−8÷27 that I didn’t document with no response at all. When I called 8÷27÷15 mentioning leaving a bad review if I couldn’t reach someone, I got a call at 6:40pm that night (recorded). He came with someone he was teaching at 9÷16÷15. During the steam cleaning, he said I have to pay another $ 60 for pretreatment. I told him no thank you and proceeded to spray the few stains with pretreatment myself. He got upset and said I am not allowed to do that. I must pay him to do it. My chemicals may not be compatible with his steam cleaning and it voids any guarantee — we went back and forth a little over this as you can imagine how unintelligible his remarks sound — it’s a pure money making gimmick. During the cleaning he left a steam cleaning device on a section of my carpet for a while and I noticed it was leaking. When his partner removed it, he saw a big stain the exact shape of the device. I told him (not Mel but his partner who was the responsive one) and he was happy to run over it with the steam cleaner. They moved on but it didn’t work so I asked them to revisit before leaving and told them I need that gone. It was a very saturated dark circle stain a foot in radius where previously there was no stain there at all. He ended up leaving the stain unfixed. For weeks after this I called to get him to come back and clean that horrible stain but I couldn’t get any response and I was clear it was created by them. There is nothing like it in the house and it’s smack in the center of the living room as a first line of sight when you walk up the stairs. I finally left a voicemail that I would leave a bad review and Mel called back finally the same day as that message 10÷19÷15 at 3:32pm. He called and asked what I wanted. I said fist, I left you a detailed message. Did you hear it or was any of it conveyed? He said no. He asked what I wanted again. (You would think after listening to that message, the person would relay info, the importance or at least tell them to listen to it if you cared about what your customers thought.) I recorded this call. I told him about the stain and he pushed back a lot but eventually agreed to come out. He came out about 2 weeks ago (today is Oct 26) to clean the stain. After treating the stain he told me he is leaving and was going to his car. I asked him to hold on and come back up so I could look at the stain before he leaves. I immediately told him it’s unchanged and pointed to the stain. I said it’s still there. He said «no, it’s not. It’s gone.» I said look right there. It’s almost the same. He said, «no». It was so wet I thought maybe it’s just very wet in any area just treated and also maybe the carpet was brushed in a direction against the grain that made it darker then the rest of the carpet and hard to see. The next day I saw the stain looked untouched when dry. I called. I called probably 5 times in the past two weeks for him to come back to clean the stain he created in his first visit. He responded with a voicemail twice in two weeks to 5 messages and the two times i missed the call, I called right back telling him to call anytime. Finally I said please call me back as I want to resolve this without leaving any negative feedback online. I finally tried 6pm 10÷26÷15 and he picked up. He argued A LOT this time. Suddenly the stain they created in the center of my living room was my fault. This is a new approach I thought. He said 1) That the stain is not there and then he said2) He already cleaned it once and can’t come back. (I recorded the call as well in case Mel tries to change the story). He just kept repeating himself, indicating seemingly I was making it up and repeatedly asking me how I suggest he remove it and I told him multiple times I am not the expert, and I don’t know how to treat it but he created it. After a few minutes I could tell something snapped in a way he figured out how to argue and he threw out that he saw me spray carpet pretreatment on some stains when he was there so he ran with that, that I pretreated that circle. First of all, I told him, that circle was created by you. Second I said, you I didn’t put any pretreatment on that circle because IT WAS CREATED BY YOU, and it had no prior stain needing pretreatment. But it was over, he grappled onto this argument that I pretreated and repeated it over and over and over. I pretreated and he said no pretreating allowed in their small print. Done. He found his out. He said it’s my word against his and he says I did. I now have a huge circular stain in the middle of my modern beautiful home as the first line of site when walking in and up the stairs. You tell me. Would you use them? I almost want to take legal action just to take his time away from his business to have him go to court b/​c he has no accoun

I am giving three stars for the job done which was good, but I was not happy that the technician was late.
Also, stairs was not included as part of the square footage, apparently. I asked if he could throw it in since he was late. He said he would do half the stairs. Fine.
He finishes the rooms and the stairs, tells me he did ALL of the stairs and that I owed him $ 20. I had no money in the house to give which I had told him previously.
He finished by dumping the dirty chemical water in our garden as opposed to the storm drain. I won’t be using them again.

Brought groupon but could never get a appointment! Finally got a refund & from these reviews, I’m happy I did!

Firstly, I’m a Unilocaler and should’ve known better looking at these reviews I should’ve known better, ALSO THE FACT THAT HE HAVE NO before and after pics or every other week he have some type of «deal going on» but the deal was looking so good! Also and 5,4 stars reviews are most likely him using fake accounts, TRUST! Dammmnnnnn I should’ve known better!!!
It was hard getting in contact with them, after calling, texting, leaving voice mails for weeks he finally Answered & he stated for me to text him my address and he’ll text me a date back, um OK!
He texted date back for ⁹⁄₈ at 10am, cool!
I didn’t hear anything from them the day of appointment, so at 10:30 I called (30 min after original appointment time), he stated my appointment was for 12, huh? I told him no, I have the text, So y’all just gonna change my time LOL, anyway, at 12:30 he came (late again he said 12) in a small mini truck it looked like he rented the equipment from shoppers or homedepot!!! (Y’all know them carpet cleaning machines you can rent for the day) trust, its Not Professional carpet cleaning equipment! It was a guy with him that looked intoxicated and not from Marijuana! The guy didn’t speak or anything, just looked at me sternly, weird but OK!
(Back track) He also refuse to start working on home until he spoke to me face to face first, even tho my uncle and aunt was at my house waiting for him, I was like why? But I was thinking maybe it’s to get voucher code etc, he came in inspected TOOK PIC OF VOUCHER CODE (most likely so he can still get credit) and tells me I have to pay EXTRA $ 35×4=$ 140 for 4 rooms, $ 40 for steps! I brought the 5 rooms special, I only wanted 4 rooms done and was gonna give him some extra for steps, BUT my old guy usually just throw in steps as 5^th room since it’s only like 10 of them, I stay in a small single family home with two levels. My hubby tells him no thanks, just do the basic cleaning that i paid for and we’re fine, He rudely reply NO he is not doing nothing without the extra deep cleaning, I told him he still had honor the voucher, he refused to and told me to call groupon and get a refund and left!
I’m having family coming in so I now have to pay extra because groupon will refund, but it takes days to get back into my bank account!
FYI: any typos etc, excuse me, it’s a lot of typing and I’m very upset right now!
I found a guy name Rigo. 7 037 276 752 that do 6 rooms for $ 99 go to him, includes deep cleaning and he don’t upsell! I told groupon hopefully they will do something about this guy!.

Hired to clean carpets for move out. The carpets didn’t even look like they had been cleaned. Several upstairs rooms didn’t even have the normal «marks» from the machine, so we don’t think he did those at all. Plus they weren’t wet. The steps were still dirty and wet. The lower level carpet — terrible job, wet, and still dirty. I had to call another company (local in 22 314) that did a fabulous job and the carpets looked great and stains were gone, dirt on stairs gone and it wasn’t wet. I would not recommend this company. Was hired because he was really inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. He charged under $ 100 and the other company charged $ 360 and it was well worth it for 3 bedrooms, hallway, 2 flights of stairs, and entire lower level basement plus those stairs.

Let me start off by saying: Just use someone else.
I purchased the Groupon for a carpet cleaning because I was moving out of my apartment and wanted the carpets deep cleaned instead of me using my own Bissell carpet cleaner. The Groupon description read «Dingy carpets suffering from wear and tear and stains are revitalized with steam cleaning and deodorizing.» I even called in advance to make sure the cleaning covered what I needed it to before I bought the Groupon, and he assured me it did. Additionally, I bought the more expensive Groupon that covers up to 1,000 feet even though my apartment wasn’t more than 800.
When the cleaner got to my place, he said that I misunderstood him on the phone and that even though my very specific questions (does this cover deep cleaning/​will it get normal dirt and pet mess up/​do I need to pretreat/​etc.) were never asked. I told him that I work in the legal field and have no problems understanding what people are telling me and ask very specific questions for a reason.
Then he tried to get me to pay ANOTHER $ 75 because my carpets needed «deep cleaning.» He kept heckling me saying «OK, $ 50. How about $ 40? $ 30? C’mon, you need your carpets deep cleaned to get this dirt up. Regular cleaning won’t do it. How much cash do you have on you?» He basically wouldn’t even begin working until after I finally gave him another $ 20 cash (no receipt was provided, of course) to «deep clean» and «deodorize» my carpet. You know what he did to «deep clean» them? NOTHING. He used the same equipment he would have used anyway and took a clear, unmarked spray bottle with a clear liquid to a few sections of my carpet. The carpet looked fine when he was done, but I do not take kindly to being bullied into paying more money for him to do literally nothing extra.
This guy is a crook and a bully who wants you to buy the Groupon then charge you even more money upon his arrival. DO NOT FALL FOR IT. USE SOMEONE ELSE. Maryland Carpet Repair and Cleaning were amazing. You got what you paid for — go with them instead.

I was very dissatisfied with my experience with this company. I found a special on Living Social and when they came out they wanted to me to pay an additional charge for exceeding 25 mile radius. They also wanted 3 times more than I normally pay to have my steps cleaned. I left my adult daughter in charge of them but when I returned home, I found out they «cleaned» 5 rooms in less than 30 minutes and it doesn’t even look like they touched anything. I have 1 room that has a faint smell of deodorant. All else just has the evidence of them walking around my house in shoes. My carpets don’t look any different. I have them cleaned every 6 months by Advanced Carpet but with the deal Living Social had I thought why not try them out. This was a good example of YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

This was the MOST DISSATISFYING EXPERIENCE EVER. I hired this company to clean my carpets at 11:00 AM today, and he calls me at 7:00 AM asking if he could come at 9 AM to clean the carpets. I said no because I have work and he said 11 would be fine. at 11:16 AM he calls and said he cant find a parking space and since he is not familiar with downtown DC, can he reschedule. I tell him that I have an event that is very important and I need it done today and I tried to guide him to the parking deck. He was EXTREMELY belligerent and would not listen when I was trying to direct him to the paid parking deck. I then called my apartment complex to ask if he could use the free loading dock and my front desk manager actually called him to direct him to the loading dock. He then proceeded to tell her there is no loading dock and after minutes of berating my front desk staff, they gave up as well. I tried to followup with him and he told me he could reschedule for Sunday, but I don’t have time for that and frankly, I don’t want someone with that kind of attitude in my home. I am thoroughly disappointed with not only Twiga, but Living Social as well.

Twiga did a good job!
Fairly priced, prompt, and very flexible service.
Carpets looked new, they got a bunch of stains out and payed extra attention to areas with heavy traffic.
Got the groupon but was asked to pay more which I did not appreciate.

I used Twiga on two occasions and was very impressed. They cleaned our carpet downstairs and eliminated all stains and odors. Found them on Groupon and plan to use them again.

I contacted the company and was able to reserve an appointment the following week. I was greeted by Mel over the phone, who also served as the cleaning technician. We established the appointment and he called the morning of the appointment to let me know he was on his way. He arrived on time and finished within the time frame he gave me to do the job.
The sofa he cleaned is still drying out from the cleaning but it looks quite nice so far.
I would recommend using Mel from Twiga Carpet Pro based upon my experience.

They did an amazing job! I got a couch I bought off craigslist cleaned for precautionary measures. I found the company on groupon which listed a coupon for $ 29 for a standard couch cleaning. The couch looks and smells great! This is a reliable company that everyone should check out!
