Travisa

Submitted all my document for the tourist visa application in person on April 28.
Between May 2 and May 31, I called numerous times to check on my status. The 1^st time they said it would take 10 days. The 2^nd time they said it will take 15 days. The 3^rd time they said it will take 20 days because the system was down. Then finally they gave me the consulate number, but they did not tell me the consulate only answer phones regarding visa on Monday & Wednesday from 10 to 11. I had a very frustrating time trying to reach the consulate staff.
I was able to talk to a consulate staff in June, and they told me they never receive my hotel nor flight reservation and asked me to send it in. WTF!!! I have already submitted my flight and hotel reservation for the Travisa staff in person back in April.
Horrible service! Do not use them!

I HAD been a loyal customer of Travisa for many many years. I had always gotten what I needed, until I didn’t.
Last year, I sent in a rush visa order and I called in to verify that the paperwork was done correctly because we have had embassy issues in the past. When I called, a young apathetic (lazy) woman answered the phone and didn’t want to help at all. I asked her to verify that the paperwork was correct and she directed me to fill it out in a certain way. I asked her again to verify because what she was telling me sounded wrong. She INSISTED that she was right and to fill it out as she directed.
I sent the application by FEDEX and the next day I received a call that the paperwork was wrong. I spoke with a gentleman (British accent) and complained about this other employee. He apologized and said he would reverse the extra FEDEX fee to send in the corrected application.
By the time the visa came back, we had to change our flight (extra $ 500 + in fees) and the FEDEX fees were never reversed. I called and wrote and never got my money back. I had to file a dispute with my credit card to get satisfaction.
I wrote a lengthy complaint email and eventually heard from K. C — Vice President of Operations. She gave some lame excuse that didn’t even match my complaint. When i wrote her back explaining that she was mistaken in the facts of the case, I never heard back from her.
I want a visa company that is on time 100% of the time. Not 4 times out of 5 because airline tickets are expensive. A Woman below has said that she has always had good experiences with Travisa — as I had, until I didn’t. Now, they messed up and when I complained, not even a reply. This tells me that their management is disconnected and doesn’t care.
I’m just now renewing my visa & passport and I’m using another company, hopefully someone who is 100% accurate and replies to issues.

Very surprised to see so many negative reviews for Travisa. My experience with them has been wonderful. I was obtaining business visas for a large group of people (to a country that’s infamous for declining visa applications…) and Travisa agents were incredibly professional and efficient. Every single person in our group, myself included, got our visa in a timely manner.
I’d definitely use their services again.

We did not receive what we asked for, our invoice makes no sense, we were told one thing but then told something totally different, we were not told why we can’t get what we ordered and we did not get the new passport pages that we ordered added to the passports that were sent back, although we seem to have been charged for them.

Fast, efficient service in obtaining three business visas for Saudi Arabia. My dedicated representative kept me informed of each step of the process and answered all my questions promptly.
I was shown high levels of customer service and the process exceeded my expections in terms of speed of processing and being kept «in the know».
I’ve used other services previously in obtaining business visas for Saudi Arabia and other countries. By far, Travisa has been the best experience and the easiest to work with in doing so. I highly recommend them and will definitely be utilizing their services again when I next arrange international travel involving visas. What has been a tedious, overwhelming practice in the past has now become simple.

Well I finally have my visa and my passport, but only after paying $ 450 and 7 hours on an Amtrak from NYC to DC to pick it up myself the day before I fly.
I paid a lot of money for an expedited service, and for the ‘privilege’ of having a Senior Consultant work on my case and to say it was a waste of money doesn’t come close. It ended up costing me hundreds of dollars, plus a huge amount of stress and wasted time.
I ordered a 3 day service and asked for my passport to be returned to the NYC office so I could play safe and collect it in person. On the day it was meant to be picked up I received an email after 5pm (when the office shuts) telling me they’d been unable to collect it because the embassy had been unexpectedly closed when they arrived and they didn’t know when it was due to open again.
When I called the embassy myself I discovered via the wonderful world of an answering machine that consular services were always closed on a Friday so it couldn’t ever have been collected on that day, but that they’d be open the following Tuesday. I emailed my consultant back explaining this, asking her to let me know when they received it and also double checking that they knew to mail it back to the NYC office not to my home address. I heard nothing back.
I called again two days later and spoke to another consultant who told me it was due back that afternoon. I waited for confirmation. Nothing. Getting a little anxious, I emailed my original consultant again and left messages asking for her to call back. Nothing.
When I finally got through on Thursday afternoon (just before the embassy was closing for the second weekend) my consultant could not have been less interested, kept talking over me, telling me to be quiet, and basically just blamed the embassy. By this point I was getting more frustrated by the complete lack of communication and concern. I repeatedly had to chase them. They didn’t reply to emails or calls and when they did they were either rude or completely pointless — the only email reply I did get referred to something that clearly had nothing to do with me or the question I was asking and even spelt my name wrong.
They kept giving me incorrect information (which I found out by just googling and calling the embassy directly), denied saying things they’d said the day before or in writing, and even after asking 3 times the incorrect mailing information remained on my account.
Finally after leaving it as late as I possibly could, I decided I had no choice but to travel to DC (taking a day off work the day before two weeks away!) to try to reclaim my passport, visa or not. Even then they told me they couldn’t guarantee I would get it back. As it happened, the visa arrived at their office just as I did and I was able to leave with my passport and travel documents but only after a phenomenal amount of stress.
My 3 day service ended up taking two weeks. I’m hugely out of pocket and instead of spending the evening before a long trip away taking it easy with my family, I’m on a crowded train trying to catch up on a day of missed work.
Sorry for the long ranty review, but I feel I’d be doing the world a disservice if I didn’t tell you to avoid this place like the plague.

Brandice was not responsive to email communication.
I walked to the office to pick up my passport and she had me wait for a very long time even though we had told her we were coming. She never even apologized for taking so long to come downstairs to give me my passport.
Further, I emailed her and called her twice on an urgent issue — it took her over a day to get back to me on an urgent visa and then told me I had an hour to get a letter signed and back to her.
Overall — service from Brandice reflected extremely poorly on your company.

We paid a lot of money to get the visa the next day but for some reason instead of doing priority overnight shipping travisa only did standard overnight shipping. There was nothing that indicated this in the order, and we needed the visa that morning. Luckily we were vigilant and saw that it would not be delivered until 8 and were able to call fedex and pick up the package. I am unhappy that travisa would ship it like that.

I had to come back to this company. This time for a name change on a passport rather than a visa issue which seems so much more complicated. In my case it was anyway. I was met at the front desk by a very kind girl named Nicole who instantly knew what needed to be done and was able to guide me through the process. They have made it easier now for folks to come in off the street and do the paperwork there. This visit I was given access to a computer and assistance from a person. The form I had failed to print I was able to handle on the spot instead of last time where I had to leave and try and find an Internet café. I think maybe someone there got the message and realized that we pay a lot of money for their services. It should be worth it.

I also would rate this service with a –10 stars if I could. They made mistake after mistake, made me fill out wrong form after wrong form, had me retake pictures three times and when I finally went directly to the US State Dept to handle it myself, they told me never to use Travisa again. They pulled out my application file that was an inch thick with wrong form after wrong form and told me they never saw so many mistakes.
I dealt with this ordeal for almost three weeks back and forth. Travisa had no special access like they claim. If they did, the mess could have been cleared up with a phone call to one of these so called connections.
SAVE YOUR MONEY. Do it yourself and have it be hassle free. You might make a mistake or two but at least you’ll be in control and not be subject to any «fees».
They claim that they are specialists but have no idea what they are doing.
After the process I reviewed the client goals on their website and one by one realized that none of them were actually fulfilled when it came to my case.
They offered no accountability in the mess they created and then after had the nerve to demand a fee. Any other wise company would respect their clients time and offer at least some sort of waived fee for such lousy service.
BOTTOM LINE. NEVER EVER USE TRAVISA.

Fast, thorough service for getting my Russian visa. I was kept up to date on the status of the visa. They helped me ‘close the loop’ on details that I missed on my application. Will use Travisa again in the future for sure.

I will not be making it for my trip on time, as my passport was ‘processed’ for over a week! Despite paying a expedite fee!

they were extremely helpful and replied to all my emails and questions promptly. At first I tried calling them, that was a complete failure. It was almost impossible to get someone on the phone. I was completely surprised by their prompt response via email. Slightly inconvenient, but they try to make the experience pleasant.

Avoid at all costs. Staff is unhelpful and inept. They also charge double the price of the Georgetown office (for India visas) and it takes a day longer. Go to the Wisconsin branch as this office just sends Visas to the other branch and charges you and extra $ 65.

Very poor customer service and incorrect information provided on the phone

If it were possible I’d give this business a negative five (–5) star rating.
Travisa has been ripping individuals off since 1981. They claim to expedite your passport needs and support a wide range of passport application and renewal needs, and fool you with their bottom-​rate services, they have no common sense when it comes to the various US Department of State Passport Agencies, mistaking «Wasington State» with «Washington, D.C.» (IDIOTS!)
The process for obtaining passport services through Travisa is harder than solving a rubix cube. Poorly identify the service that you need provided, click on the appropriate link, and follow the application instructions. For a new passport you have to wade through a series of steps, and none of them are explained in detail.
*Travisa offers three types of service fees to their clients for passport processing:
* Standard service — Costs $ 99, and requires 3 – 10 business days to process the new passport request
* Rush service — Costs $ 179, and requires 48 hours to process
* Emergency service — Costs $ 199, with same day/​next day processing
*But any of their services will end up charging you more money and headache just to fix their own mistakes and stupidity.
Thanks to Travisa I will not be making it to Mexico for my friends wedding on time or at all… my passport is still «processing».
