I have followed the stylists upstairs at Todd Christofaro for 20 years. Many began at ILO, Tammy and Keith went and opened Aqua, then they went to Loft where Sandra joined them. I would recommend all 3 of them highly for cut and color. Most recently I have decided to go a bit more natural and let my grey hair blend in. Sandra has been doing highlights to blend and ensure a natural look. I get so many compliments on my new color and I enjoy the lower maintenance. You may pay more for color and cut here, but you do not need to worry about the result.

I often get asked by friends and strangers alike about who cuts my hair. It happens so often, it no longer surprises me! Sandra is the reason they ask. I always get a great cut that really holds it’s shape as it grows out. Sandra has been cutting my hair for over 15 years and I have absolute trust in her ability to keep me looking good. She updates my style regularly and helped me make a transition from no bangs to bangs that I actually liked. Everyone there is so nice and welcoming, you’ll enjoy your visit. I highly recommend Sandra to everyone who asks!

Many of the stylists from The Loft have just moved over to this salon and now have a place worthy of their talents. Theresa Kulstad has cut and colored my hair for many years and it’s great to have her working in place where she can shine. I visited the salon for the first time yesterday and got a compliment from a total stranger as soon as I walked out the door with refreshed highlights and trim. Theresa is great with all lengths of hair, but she is especially terrific with those of us who want to keep our hair long. And she’s equally terrific with color. She listens to you, gives you her advice, and you leave looking and feeling fabulous!
Pasquale has also moved to the salon. She is great with waxing, makeup, nails, facials.

Todd Christofaro is by far the best hair stylist I’ve ever had. I moved to LA recently and you’d think I’d be able to find a good one here, but I am just too spoiled by Todd! He has always given me cuts that are right on that fine line of classic and modern/​fashion-​forward. He really took his time to understand my hair and all of its idiosyncrasies, examined my facial features (like my big nose), and made recommendations accordingly without being pushy about it. And he’s so artful with his cutting style… like a sculptor! I would not let anybody touch my hair for nearly eight years. He is also by far the best colorist in DC. He understands how to keep things understated and subtle. I recommend him to all my friends. He’s usually booked up for awhile, but I take that as a very good sign – so make sure to plan ahead.

After countless hours of searching online reviews for someone who could cut curly hair, I decided to give Claire a try after so many rave reviews online. I was running about 5 minutes late and gave the salon a call to let them know and the receptionist seemed quite puzzled as to why I called to told her. The salon is in adorable building right off of Wisconsin. It is impeccably decorated for a homey feel. I was offered a beverage by both the receptionist as well as the shampooer. After changing into the robe they offered, I was seated in the chair and Claire came out. She examined my hair and asked what I liked, what I didn’t like, and what she was going to do to improve it. I don’t know about anyone else, but it makes me feel so much better when a stylist goes over what they are going to do.
After the amazing shampoo, Claire began cutting my hair. She didn’t make much small talk, but would periodically let me know what she was doing. Claire did a wonderful job cutting my hair. Anyone who has curly hair understands how hard it is to find someone who knows who to cut it. She didn’t push any products for my hair, but I wish that she had told me what she used in my hair-​it made it so soft! I will definitely be back to see Claire.

Todd is wonderful. He does beautiful work. Prices are definitley expensive, but I have never been disappointed.
