The Yards Park

I thought I would add a separate Unilocal entry for the dog park at Yards Park to attract more dog owners. The dog park is located in the east corner of Yards Park next to DC Water & Sewer Authority. The park itself is fairly small with a gravel flooring. There is a poo bag station, as well as several benches. There is only one area, no separate small and big dog dividers. Definitely the most scenic dog park in DC, and the dogs have all been friendly so far with mine. Pros: No poops lying around, great picnic area by the river or the pool, nice shops and restaurants nearby, and great trail along the river for a scenic walk after running around at the dog park. Cons: Not very many dogs when I go, on the smaller side, parking can be an issue. The parking lot adjacent to the park is $ 2 per hour, even on game nights.
