Came here to ship a package that needed to make it before Christmas. Aziz was incredible– extremely thorough and guaranteed my packages were secure! He also went out of his way to give me the best deal on such short notice. I will ship all my packages from here from now on!

I love this UPS store, I always go out of my way to come here. The customer service is great and the process is always fast. They work quickly and they’re super helpful!

Went to get 8 document notarized and UPS made sure that everything was done right and put no stress on us to move overly fast. Really thoughtful service.

Don’t even bother. The staff at this location are rude and lazy. They won’t go out of their way to help you and honestly try to make it more difficult. I went there to get help in recovering a lost package and instead all I got was attitude. The guy at the front desk even laughed at me when I explained my problem and all the hoops I had already had to jump through in trying to fix it. He even claimed that UPS and the UPS store are two different companies… Legally, maybe that’s true but really? That’s your answer for why you can’t find my package or even put an ounce of effort towards helping me resolve my situation? Wow slow clap! Long story short don’t go to this store…
Edit: the owner blames the attitude problem and general rudeness of her staff on the fact that ups and ups store are two different things… The fact that the staff are rude to customers has nothing to do with the store being a separate entity
Second edit: this store owner keeps contacting me to make excuses for why her staff was rude and even said that they regularly send packages back without waiting the entire time they are required to as an UPS access point. She blames this on the fact that the store front is too small to accept packages. Fine, if you’re store front is too small then don’t accept packages or agree to serve as a UPS access point. However, if you are going to agree to be one sending back packages before you are suppose to is just unacceptable. This business owner also tried to bribe me to remove my review with 50% off shipping services. When I ignored this request she insinuated on this review that because I wasn’t a paying customer and merely trying to pick up a package that had been sent to her store (a certified UPS access point) I’m unworthy of respect by members of her staff… Wow just wow… This store is truly a nightmare of customer service from the top down… Seriously stay away

Quick, best value, knowledgeable staff.
I needed to send over an antique along with some of our production equipment in a hurry and they were able to do all the work for me. Box, tape, ship, go — THATS WHAT U CALL SERVICE!
Unlike the post office, they staff was very accommodating and courteous, but the BIGGEST reason I come here is because I don’t have to deal with the long lines at the post office which can take 25 minutes for a routine send and catch government employee attitude.
I have to admit, I like most Americans, do not understand how the mailing system works, just when it needs to be there. I just ask about the best way to send, and have them expense my company’s credit card.
Done and done.

I did sign up in Spring of 2009. UPS Store has promised to improve their service, and because they keep promising to do so, and because it would cost me several thousand dollars to change my address – new business cards, notifying dozens of courts with filings (some of which requires us to pay lawyers to do so), etc. – without much promise that another mail service would be better, I have not done so as of yet.
Since my last review, they’ve been apologetic. After two months of no mistakes, they asked me to take the review down. And admittedly, they don’t seem to be mailing anything to the wrong forwarding address any more, but who knows what is being put in the wrong box that we never get. So I figured I’d give them another few months and if they kept the streak up, I’d honor their request.
But in the last six weeks, they’ve billed the wrong credit card six times. On July 17, they «tested» the credit card by billing it, and then, instead of reversing the charges, billed it a second time, and six phone calls and three emails later still haven’t fixed it yet because they incorrectly tell me and my assistant that it’s taken care of when it isn’t. (Below they claim that these charges were for one cent. This is a lie.) They billed the wrong credit card again two weeks ago, and then only reversed part of the charges. We called a week ago to find out whether we received an express-​mail package; indeed, we had. A week later, we still don’t have it. We call again today, and they say they had already shipped it – and then I get a notification from my credit-​card company that they billed the wrong card again today, meaning that they *lied* to us and sat on an express-​mail for a week.
We are finally changing our address – I’ve already changed one of the two addresses because it was clear the store couldn’t handle the administrative burden of two separate accounts. We will renew the other mailbox one more time to catch any stragglers who we accidentally fail to notify, but that’s out of business necessity rather than satisfaction with the service.
You can tell the lack of service by the response left to my complaint.

Service was so slow and the place was a mess. I had a pre paid packing slip all printed out and just needed to buy a box for my item but there was 1 person in front of me with the world’s most complicated order. I waited 15 minutes and then there was an issue with her package so while the UPS guy was helping me, he had to stop and attend to the previous customer again.
All in all a really frustrating experience and I’ll do my best to avoid having to use UPS for anything other than drop off.

The store is supposed to open at 8:30 am but there is never anyone there to open it. I’ve waited over 20 minutes on several consecutive days. Very frustrating and unprofessional way to run business.

In need of a notary, I called this location, obtained confirmation and a time that the notary would be available. The notary showed up 30+ minutes late, was not apologetic on her tardiness and proceeded to rummage through the documents not being mindful of the order. I calmly tried to explain that page one provided all of the instructions to which she disregarded, informed me that she knew what she was doing then proceeded to get confused on what each indicator was (in which the instruction sheet carefully spelled out). She stamped where she was not supposed to have, thus proceeded to secure additional billings. She was rude, unprofessional, tardy and disrespectful. Do not recommend. In addition, when her co-​worker called her twice to check in, he told her to «take her time» (which I did not understand as I had a limited lunch hour). Long story short, there are better alternatives out there. This is not one of them.

I tried stopping by to mail something before work a few weeks ago. 8:30am came and went with no one opening the store. I was a little worried when I noticed the sign that said if the store wasn’t open during normal business hours, I should call a cell number. I gave up around 8:40 and will try another store next time.

I showed up to send a UPS package at 8:59 AM on a Tuesday morning and… nope, sorry, they’re closed. Never mind that their business hours posted both on the UPS website AND the storefront itself says 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM Monday through Friday. Next time, I won’t waste the trip coming here. There are plenty of other UPS Stores in the Dupont/​Farragut Square area that are far more professional.

I was walking home after a bad experience at another UPS Store and happened to stumble across this one. I asked the same question if they could print out a mailing label for me which he said he could for &.25, which is WAY more reasonable, unlike the other store who wanted me to pay $ 3.50.
Anyway, positive stars for not trying to over charge me, but minus some stars for the pretty poor customer service overall. He seemed like he was angry or something. Not sure what’s going on with that.

This place is terrible and should be avoided at all cost! Keep in mind, I rarely leave a bad review on Unilocal.I needed to overnight a wedding ring with insurance. They charged me $ 100 for the overnight and an extra $ 100 as a service charge. I was shocked but had no choice, since it was on a deadline. When I went to
to manually create a shipping label to my specification, I noticed the charge was only $ 100, INCLUDING the insurance, dimensions, and weight of my box. When I went back to the store to ask why there was a «service charge», he didn’t give a good reason and refused to refund. I was scammed and cheated into paying twice what I should have. I hope this doesn’t happen to you.

I have a jobsite nearby so whenever I come to D.C., I go here. The place is small, but the staff is always friendly and they actually remember me now since I’ve been stopping in so frequently. UPS isn’t as cheap compared to USPS, but they take care of what I need quickly and the staff here always gives me a variety of options (i.e., what’s faster, what’s cheaper, etc.)

I have a lot of family abroad and I always use these guys. The store is small, but we’re only here to drop packages off so I don’t know why space matters. Customer service isn’t the warmest, but literally all I do is bring my package, fill out an address and they give me dates and quotes.
If you’re looking for a new best friend, go somewhere else. If you want to get in and out fast without your package being late, missing or busted, come here.

If I could give 5 negative stars I would. Be very careful here. They were supposed to send my passport as fast as possible to Germany, I’m a US citizen abroad, and needed a visa processed in DC and it could only be done in DC. They sold my father a fake shipment that was not what he asked for and doesn’t exist in the USPS system. They may actually have stolen my passport, even their corporate office agrees. Also, Leslie the manager is not cooperating to tell me just where my passport is. They’ve ruined my vacation and lost me a lot of money not to mention
seeing a good friend. They can actually ruin your life.

It’s a small, not well kept store. I find that UPS Stores tend to be pricey, and this store was no different.
If you are going to charge a lot, have disheveled store, you might as well have great customer service… but they don’t. I only come here when I have to.

I had to self start, but the woman who assisted me was very helpful. She recommended I go to the post office to save about $ 15. Totally worth it in my eyes.
They do need to work on recognizing patrons as they come in. They should say hello if the other worker is busy with a guest and quit puttering around unnecessarily when someone walks trough the door. It will earn you repeat visitors!
SMALL store, but what else would you expect from being in the heart of the city?

Customer service guy could not care less. Since their notary is only part time he couldn’t be bothered to help. Dirty cramped store.
