Established in 2000.

This elegantly renovated Victorian bed and breakfast inn is nestled in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood in downtown Washington, D. C, reminiscent of a European experience. We are just blocks from eclectic restaurants, galleries, hotels (Hilton Washington, Courtyard by Marriott) and the nightlife of Dupont Circle and U Street. The Inn is just 3 and a half short blocks from the metro-​rail and is perfectly situated between the U St Corridor and Dupont Circle. Both atmospheres offers a renaissance of culture, entertainment.

U Street corrider offers a resurgence of eclectic restaurants, a vibrant streetscape of shops and cafes situated in the rhythm and revival of historic U St. The guest rooms are spacious, comfortable and have the ambiance of a Victorian home along with a modern décor. The living room is a special place for guests to gather and enjoy the view or a quiet game of chess. We have free wireless internet access. My boyfriend and I spent a couple of days at the Inn and had a wonderful time. We were a late arrival but there were precise instructions. The parlor was grand and felt homey with classical music playing. You can open the draws and get wine glasses or plates to eat your food on. They leave out coffee, tea and pastries that were delicious. The décor from the sitting room to the rooms were beautiful and modern. Our room had an electric fireplace. It was just the right size with a big comfortable bed, leather headboard, walk in closet and a beautiful modern bathroom. The room was immaculately clean and the bed/​pillows were comfortable. We never had breakfast so I cannot comment on that. But it felt like it was our own place. We felt safe and provided for. The neighborhood is perfect, safe and charming. Across the street was an all purpose market which sold great wine, aspirin to milk and closed daily at 12am. There is also a 24hr CVS 5 blocks down.
We never saw the managers just the inn keepers and they gave us our privacy. For the price, location, feel, décor and cleanliness of the whole place I definitely will be back.

3.5 stars. The place itself is very beautiful inside and super clean. We stayed in room three which has very nice décor and a huge bathroom.

The cons:
Location is great for Dupont Circle area, a bit far from DC sites. Nearest Metro is 10 minutes walk
Wi Fi does not reach room three, so we had no Wi Fi, despite promise
Can hear every step upstairs room (#1) lodgers take
Near fire station, sirens at night
No temperature control in rooms. Room was very stuffy, opened windows
Filled jetted tub with water, ran out of hot water mid way
Both mornings food was served cold, asked if can reheat, lady said «no» (really?)
Breakfast is just OK… nothing special
TV is size of computer monitor

This is the greatest secret gem in D.C. My mom has stayed here three times when coming to visit me. She found it because I used to live on 16th and U — and even though I have since moved — she always stays there with her partner.
It is the cutest, cleanest, nicest B&B. There is always fruit, cookies, tea, coffee, and water out after hours. My mom enjoys the breakfast and meets lots of fun people from around the globe.
You don’t need a key, the doors are conveniently coded with a security code, and each room feels very secure and cozy.
This last stay they were on the top floor and had a HUGE room with an even bigger bathroom and a MASSIVE tub! I’m so glad my mom got to relax that weekend.
Totally recommend this place, and price is comparable to other B&Bs in D.C. Walking distance to everything, near restaurants, near metro if need be, and just super adorable.

Took my girlfriend here for Valentine’s day. Couldn’t have asked for better. The staff were very friendly, the food was very good.
There was coffee when we arrived at check-​in around 2pm, and a friendly man by the name of Jeffery. He had some amazing coffee on hand for us. From outside, the décor is nothing noticeable. But inside, it’s all a very grand gorgeous house. When we arrived back in at 10pm, there was a tray of cookies, cake, and more excellent coffee waiting for us in the dining room.
Our room was small but elaborate. The sheets and decorations were very rich. The cable didn’t work very well, but who cares? We weren’t big TV people anyway. The downstairs kitchen area was all ours, with more than a dozen varieties of teas and coffee. Excellent, excellent coffee. I cannot emphasize that enough.
Morning breakfast was great, with plenty of choices. Jeffery made me an amazing vegetable omelet. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the sitting room and view of the DC streets that it offered. All in all, for a price cheaper than most any motel room you’ll find in DC, it’s an amazing find. I can’t recommend it enough.

I had a great experience with the Inn at Dupont North when arranging for my family to visit me in DC. The staff was very friendly and helpful when I called to make reservations. When they discovered my family was visiting and I lived nearby, the even invited me to come eat breakfast with my family each morning, for free! The rooms were also very nice, and my family enjoyed a nice stay. The location is also great, close to metros as well as dining and shopping in both Dupont and U Street Corridor areas. The price is also great relative to other B&Bs in the area — I’d highly recommend this place!

I loved this inn, it was very comfortable and the staff was very pleasant and sweet. The breakfast was delicious and the décor very relaxing. This is a newer inn than The Inn at Dupont Circle South that they have on 19th street which is also nice too but, The Inn at Dupont Circle North has a more upscale feel to it and has larger rooms.
I would definitely recommend it.
