History

Established in 1992.

As a family owned and operated restaurant, The Grill From Ipanema has over 23 years of history serving authentic Brazilian food. We host private events including, corporate meetings, fundraising events, birthday parties, social celebrations, cocktail celebrations, retirement parties and weddings.

It is hard to narrow our menu with one single dish. With many native ingredients from hearts of palm to many types of beans and grains, Brazilian food is a combination of only the best. Our cuisine is greatly inspired and influenced by the African, Portuguese, Spanish, Italians, Japanese and Arabic people. This fusion of cultures and traditions is what makes Brazilian food so richly diverse and so delicious.

Meet the Business Owner

Alcy De Souza S.

Business Owner

Alcy De Souza, started cooking early in life. As a kid, he used to help his mother in the kitchen preparing meals for his younger siblings and never stopped from there. With an entrepreneur spirit and a vision to have a Brazilian restaurant in the US, Alcy De Souza came to USA in 1987 to pursue his American dream. At the Grill From Ipanema, Alcy saw the opportunity to create a contemporary restaurant bringing back the flavors of the Brazilian cuisine to the USA. Alcy wanted to stay faithful to roots of Brazilian cuisine and so he crafted a menu that included dishes such as the Feijoada, Moqueca a Baiana, Picanha, Bobo de Camarao. Alcy makes sure he offers only the freshest ingredients in his dishes. Food is culture and Chef Alcy captures that concept in his tasting menu.
