This place is wonderful and the team is amazing, what sets TCG apart is the great personalized service they provide to make sure you get the job you’re looking for. At first I didn’t expect much (because the bad experience I had with requirement agencies), but after talking to Allie and Lally I was pretty impressed with the amount of knowledge they have about the industry and the jobs they offer.
TCG is not like the «other» agencies. They don’t just send you a list of jobs. TCG will look through these jobs, your resume and interview you to discuss your skills and what are you exactly looking for.
TCG found me the job I was looking for in only 2 days. I had a great experience dealing with their cool and motivated team.

I have been working with The Creative Group as a graphic designer and creative consultant. They have given me many wonderful freelance and full time opportunities with the most prominent agencies and corporations in the Washington DC area. If you are out of job or simply trying to explore freelance opportunities, I highly recommend Robert Half and The Creative Group.

BEWARE of unethical practices by The Creative Group. I was brought in for a formal interview which went really well. I was then asked for up to 8 references. Well beyond the usual 3 references other agencies ask for. I later found out from my references and clients that Lally the Creative Group recruiter I met with, used my references as a «sales» call. My references and clients were asked if they had a need for The Creative Group services. It was very clear to me that is why so many references were requested. In addition to being completely unprofessional in regards to calling me back and responding to emails, I was asked again for additional references to add to the other 8 references. No doubt they were wanted for more sales calls. Needless to say I ended my relationship with The Creative Group.

I had been looking for a job in graphic design for over a year. I had submitted resume after resume and and even applied for internships but never even got an interview. Keep in mind I have my bachelor’s and about 7 years non-​professional experience.
Long story short my girlfriend mentioned I should try a recruiting service and I discovered the Creative Group. After that, it was a dream come true. I was able to set up an interview with a recruiter right away (Lauren Dobos). She was extremely helpful and passionate about helping me refine my resume and art portfolio. She found me 3 job openings in about 3 weeks and I ended up landing one in a temp-​to-​hire position. 5 months later, I’m now a full-​time employee there! I couldn’t feel more appreciative and grateful.
Lauren had amazing communication with me and was very active in helping me find positions. She gave me great advice on how to improve my resume and portfolio, and really took the time to sit down with me to find out my strengths and weaknesses. She was extremely nice, a pleasure to work with, straight forward and did’t beat around the bush (which I liked). My recruiter was very organized and on point– I was very impressed.
I did my part too. I worked super hard on taking her suggestions in order to fix my resume and portfolio. I devoted most of my free time to preparing for interviews and reading about how to do really well in them. I also did my research on the companies that had openings and studied things they required, so I was prepared and knew what I was getting into. So my point is, if you’re serious about landing a job and doing what it takes to do well, the Creative Group will help you get your foot in the door and give you a really great experience along the way.

When I moved to the DC area, I signed up with three different employment agencies in order to help me with my job search. The Creative Group was by far the most responsive, bringing me in right away to interview with them, and then contacting me regularly with possible jobs. After just a few interviews, I was placed into a wonderful position, and as soon as that one ended, they placed me in another one within a week, where I was then permanently hired.
In addition to being a highly professional and efficient agency, every person I worked with was also extremely kind and considerate; they checked in with me periodically to make sure that everything was going well with each placement. It has been a real pleasure working with The Creative Group, and I highly recommend their services to anyone in the DC area looking for employment services.

I recently moved back to the area after stints in NYC and LA. I’ve had some experience with some other temp agencies. My first job started from temping through an agency in NYC.
Amanda at TCG was quick and always on the ball. About an hour after meeting, I was called about an opportunity, and almost every weekday thereafter. She was particular in keeping the jobs within my desired areas, expertise, pay range, and industries.
YMMV, but for me, the placements are quick and the clientele is diverse.

I’m a Graphic Designer and was searching for a job in the DMV area and found it difficult to land a job since the market is very competitive in this area. My wife helped me job hunt and found TCG. Told me to apply and Wala! I got a call for an interview with TCG and went talked about what type of work I wanted to do and the experience I have so they can help line me up with job. During the week they called me and presented me with 2 – 3 clients that had interest in me and gave me the option to choose which one I feel comfortable with. I got the job and I didn’t even have to go in for a interview since TCG have good relationships with most of their clients.
I been a contractor with TCG since October ’12 and I have been on 6 different assignments/​contracts. Each assignment were different, so it give me the opportunity to see which type of work I see myself doing in the future. The recruiters are very nice and they always check up on me to see how I’m doing when I’m on a assignment. They are also good at lining up another assignment before the current assignment ends. So I usually don’t have to wait to start a new assignment.
I recommend all creatives to use TCG if job hunting is not in your favor or if you want to gain more experience without have to go throw multiple interviews with different companies.

Too disorganized. I was seen one hour after my interview time. Then one of the recruiters accidentally called me instead of my former employer to do a reference check.

I’m in desperate need of a job & want to relocate to the DC area. I found this agency through a google search & was quite pleased at their offerings & the fact they specialize in my field.
Make sure you call ahead & make an appointment, as they do not accept walk-​ins.
On the day of my appointment, I had to fill out quite a bit of paperwork, in addition to already registering on the site. I met with a young lady named Karen, who is very nice, but didn’t sugar-​coat anything. You see, the agency doesn’t want to work with «out of towners», you need to already be a resident. I was rather disappointed about this, because I explained to her I have a place to stay, if I’m given a long-​term assignment.
They do seem to have quite a bit of assignments, all ranging from short-​term to long-​term. The salary seems to be pretty competitive, too.

For my experience all they did was waste my time. They contacted me one afternoon for an interview the next day. They changed the time twice on me. When I went in they said we would have a talk before the interview with the client about the job, which did not happen. Durning the interview I realized I was a seat filler. After the interview they said they would call me later in the day to tell if I got the job or not. They never called, which came as no surprise. I emailed them and that is how I found out I did not get it. I would give them no star, but you can not post the review with giving a least one.
