The Coffee Espress

I hate to be a kill joy, but this place is closed. In its place is a crêpe shop. While I didn’t stay, it did smell delicious in there, LOL!

I LOVE this place. I hesitated giving them five stars for a moment, because they aren’t super gourmet — they aren’t any Bourbon coffee or anything. But, consider — I am *always* running late for work. I’ve calculated it, and stopping for my chai and yogurt every day here adds about 60 seconds (tops!) to my commute. Compare with Starbucks at an average of 15 minutes — this is great.
My milk is always foamy and the flavors are always good… their chai is yummy and so are their lattes… I’ve heard good things about their frozen drinks… so honestly, I am happy. To boot, they knew my name and my order by about my fifth visit. They mercilessly remind you about your loyalty card so you get 10% off of their already cheap prices. They have Chobani (and a bunch of other stuff) stocked. And the ladies are the happiest, cheeriest start to my day I could ask for. Please support this place!

Sadly, I’d rather go to Starbucks. It’s cheaper and better. My tiny «coffee au lait» was $ 2.31 with taxes ($ 2 at the ‘bucks). I wanted to like it… I really did…

this place has great froyo called angelberry. it is ICE COLD and pretty tart which is the way i like it. and it is cheap relative to the other larger froyo places in the district. definitely check this place out for frozen yogurt.

Granted I probably would never have stepped in to the Coffee Espress if it wasn’t right near where I work, but I’m glad I did. I love the staff here. They memorize EVERYTHING you order. I don’t even have to say it anymore. If I do feel fiesty and want to change it up, they gladly oblige, but usually, being a creature of habit, I go with the large house blend — black. :)
Previous to finding this little piece of greatness, I frequented Starbucks and well, the coffee at Coffee Espress tastes better and the staff is more attentive.
