The Catering Company of Washington

I have used the Catering Company for years — for large parties and smaller dinners — may a dozen in total. They are accessible, tailor a creative menu suited to your needs and desires, and present a wonderful party with excellent quality food and service that is professionally attentive, but unobtrusive. I wouldn’t use another catering company.

Words cannot express how lucky my fiancé and I are to be working with Elizabeth and Emilie. Their level of professionalism is unlike any we’ve experienced thus far planning our wedding.
Elizabeth and Emilie have treated us like family, and have taken such a personal and intimate approach at helping my fiancé and I create the perfect atmosphere for our big day.
We interviewed several other highly recommended caterers in the area, but the Catering Company of Washington stood out to us for a multitude of reasons. To start, their food is beyond excellent, and unique! Elizabeth and Emilie were kind enough to invite us to not one, but two tastings at separate events, both of which the food was spectacular. Their food creations are definitely high-​end restaurant quality, and not the typical food you experience at a wedding. We left the tasting craving more!
Second, their attention to detail and level of responsiveness is so comforting. Planning a wedding is a very stressful process, but Elizabeth and Emilie are true professionals and have helped us every step of the way. They’re very responsive to emails, and always follow up on their progress with us, even when we haven’t reached out to inquire. We’ve really been able to rest easy knowing that our wedding is in the hands of experts.
To couples out there still trying to decide on a caterer, or for anyone looking for the best food and service in town, I can’t recommend The Catering Company of Washington enough. We plan to use them for years to come!

The Catering Company of Washington always does a superb job when do an event for my company.
Last week we had them come do a reception for us and it was so flawless. They were able to set up a little «bar» and had a bartender who made drinks for our guest. They also had another crew member in our little kitchen space making hors d’oeuvres.
Emilie, the catering manager for our event, was super sweet and friendly! She and her crew were able to set up everything so swiftly and efficiently! The same for the break down of everything!
The Catering Company of Washington will definitely be a vendor for my company for years and years to come! Thanks for the lovely reception!

I can’t say enough good things about my experiences with the Catering Co. of Washington. I just finished my second event with them and just as my previous experience, it was flawless! The owner, Elizabeth Petty, created a custom menu for my association reception and was able to capture exactly what our group needed and liked based on our previous year. She was extremely responsive and took care of everything I asked and then some! Our catering manager, Emilie, was a amazing again as well, handling every need of our attendees without me ever having to make a comment. She was already on top of it. They came in and out and barely left a trace that 100 people were in our office! They will be our «go to» company every year for this event!

They deserve more than three stars but I am not a fan, so cannot give it four stars. I have used this company for a wedding and it is a good catering company, excellant food and good cutlery linen etc. But they were weak on some important details and therefore would have to to be monitored carefully. They are excellent people to deal with and therefore, I believe, give the impression they are capable of delivering more than they can.

I have been a client of The Catering Company of Washington for many years. I have never used another caterer since I discovered them. At this point, I must have engaged TCCW well over 25 times to cater events at my home or office – including as recently as four days ago. I also have taken advantage of their beautiful «home» venue at Elizabeth’s on L.
TCCW far outstrips its competitors. In fact, in my opinion, they have no «real» competition in the DC area. If you need confirmation, just check out the sample dishes on their web site menus (
) and note the sophistication of the ingredients and presentations. I’ve never had anything I didn’t think was fantastic.
TCCW’s staff is gracious, helpful, and just plain fun. You can’t go wrong here.
