Mid century art of Robert E. Kuhn, a sculptor known as a painter and a WPA artist.
History
Established in 2013.
After the WPA artist, Robert E. Kuhn, died in 2000, the family was in a quandary about what to do with the art. It lay quietly in an old stone building on a Shenandoah mountaintop. 2013 came and Marcy Logan and Daniel Kuhn decided to open an art gallery in Dupont Circle, Washington, D. C and called it the Swann Street Gallery. Today it is a lively social center located in Marcy’s house where jazz parties are held, parties for local politicians, parties for the street, parties for people from all walks of life. Many purchasers of art from «the old days,» when the artist was the life of all parties himself, came by the gallery to regale the crowd with stories of the artist. It has been as if the old man was in the gallery — and he is! Come see for yourself!
