I’ve lived in DC for 7 years and never once thought to go to this famous church, but I am glad I did. It looks WAY bigger on TV than in real life, but as you walk through it, it’s inspiring to think of all the US presidents that have attended this church. It’s very close to the White House so it’s easy to add this church on your tour. I recommend it if you have 10 minutes to spare.

Was a member of this Church for about 5 years.
Started attending because of The fact that our President was worshipping here.
Continued attending because the pastor Luis Leon gave outstanding sermons.
He is compassionate, intelligent and is an excellent speaker.
If ur in the area u should consider attending his service.

Worth a visit if you’re in the area. The windows are nice, it’s only a short walk from other tourist sites, and there’s a presidential pew. I think my prayer got answered because I said it for a seat where presidents have sat in the past. The place was empty when I went in, and while we were getting photos taken from the presidential pew, a staff member came out and looked surprised we were there. She was friendly. When we were leaving, she was locking up the place… I don’t know if it’s open to the public or if we just got lucky and were able to get in.

I’m reviewing this place as a guest who attended a wedding ceremony.
The church is beautiful inside and out. It’s probably hard to find a better location with more associated history since it’s so close to the White House.
The only knock I would have is if you are getting married here, your guests can’t take any pictures since no photos are allowed inside. And there is no center aisle, so when you walk down the aisle for the processional and recessional, you can only be seen by ²⁄₃ of your guests. Maybe not a big deal for most people

The Presidents church! Every president since like Thomas Jefferson has gone here at least once. They each have a kneeler with their name on it. The Reverend is cool, he has a good message that’s relevant and he doesn’t drag it out.
And they have lunch after the service for like $ 3 or $ 4, and it’s good. It’s a cool place, check it out.
