We specialize in good vinyl records of all genres. From dollar bin specials to very collectable jazz, punk, international, psych, country, reggae, etc. records we’ve got it. No filler. We also have a listening station.

We DO NOT repair pecord players any more although you can call the shop and we’ll give you some recommendations.

History

Established in 2005.

Owner Neal Becton (aka DJ Neville C) left the Washington Post after ten years to open his dream shop. A record collector since he first bought Yes «Fragile» back in 1975, Becton had amassed thousands of records and NEEDED to open a shop. Som opened in 2003 and although the records don’t (for the most part) come from Becton’s private collection any more, you will find that they are carefully curated so the shopper isn’t flipping through hundreds of mediocre and bad records to find that one gem.

Business Owner

Neal B (aka DJ Neville C) has been collecting records since the late 70’s, started DJing in the late 80’s and started selling records in the late 90’s. He grew up in Atlanta and attended the University of Georgia in Athens. He DJed in Madrid, Auckland, Sao Paulo, Los Angeles, Miam, New York and points between. He had a radio show on XM called «Around the World in 80 Beats.» Neal wants his store to be well stocked, well priced, and attitude free.
