Peter took our family pictures this year and he did an amazing job! I find it to be a very good indication of how the session will go based on how a photographer interacts with my kids in the first 5 minutes of meeting them. Peter was fabulous! My boys really enjoyed him and he brought out the best in them! Our pictures turned out wonderful and we will definitely use him again in the future! He was professional, kind, understanding and a great photographer!

The MOST unprofessional photography service I have ever experienced! Peter butchered our wedding photos. I write this review because I do not want anyone else to feel the way I’ve felt, completely disappointed to the point of tears and having to do a post-​wedding shoot with another photographer to get some MUCH better photos. Even the couple that referred us to Peter are completely embarrassed. He has really taken the joy out of wedding photos. Out of the 2000+ photos taken, we couldn’t even choose 70 for the hard album because the pictures were so bad.
In all group shots, some people are shaded while others are in sunlight with shadows everywhere, including his shadow on us. He has no awareness of lighting/​sunlight or subject positioning/​angles to obtain clean and professional shots. Not to mention the pictures so poorly/​overly enhanced with editing or just taken poorly that my skin complexion looks tan booth orangey. These photos are unusable. He spent 95% of his time with the groom and guys pre-​cermony, not with a dressed bride. The best pictures of myself and bridesmaids are in our robes.
Peter did not stay true to what was discussed and agreed upon nor communicate effectively with us. Vendors are supposed to come and simply execute a service from pre-​planning discussions, no instruction or babysitting needed. This is business. Yes be nice and friendly, however, act professional and present clients with professional work. I do not feel he is 100% honest with his service capabilities and expertise area. We would have gone elsewhere if he was honest about a lot of things at our consultations. For example, had he shown us pictures and an online album like what he gave us, I wouldn’t have even thought twice about not using him. Our online album was a mess; out of order with pictures that should have clearly been taken out prior to release; examples being: pictures of myself in bra and underwear, super dark pictures, out of focus pictures, duplicate /​triple shots, group pictures with people cut out, pictures with other people whom weren’t directly in our picture in the background, and several posed pictures of his girlfriend whom was ‘supposed’ to be there working with him. A true professional goes through the entire body of work, only presenting the client with clean/​professional results, not a mess. We haven’t even been able to show our family and friends these pictures in the album; beyond embarrassed to show them a mess, instead of clean, professional work.
I feel that Peter will Yes/​Sure you with everything asked for pre-​contract to get business and once signed, gets lax and is not truly capable of providing what the client asked for. He paid zero attention to our event timeline, which was twice discussed and did what he wanted, evident by him just showed up with his girlfriend who isn’t even a photographer;no prior notice given. We agreed upon a second male photographer due to venue restriction in the men’s locker room, not her. He completely screwed up the timeline our coordinators set by just showing up with her. Highly unprofessional. You should not screw up people’s important wedding day photos and take money for a job you cannot professionally do. Our cake people messed up on our cake design (not terribly);however, when I called to inform them of the error, they were beyond apologetic and offered us a generous refund for their error. No excuses. That is professional & great customer service! We absolutely deserve the exact same customer service from Peter, an apology and substantial refund for horrific unprofessional service. Absolutely ridiculous.
Thank God we were able to do a post-​wedding shoot at our venue with another, truly professional photographer, whom I wish we knew about before. We were able to obtain some gorgeous shots to finally share something with family and friends; however, we should not have had to do that. It has been super stressful working with Peter. A wedding is stress enough, you do not need added BS from your photographer. I am 1 000 000% beyond disappointed with our wedding pictures. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE save your money, time and frustration, go elsewhere for truly professional photography. I would never refer or work with Peter again, not even for free.

Peter was great on our shoot and gave me a terrific portfolio of head shots to use. Very easy and pleasant to work with, and very reasonable.

Peter has done our holiday pictures for the last few years and they have turned out beautiful! We get many compliments on them all the time. He is always on time and great at recommending poses for the pics and even nice venues. I highly recommend him!”

I use Peter for taking photos of our completed remodeling jobs. We have been very pleased with his quality of photos and his professionalism!!!

We have had quite a few photographers over the years since I love professional photos of our child as she grows. Peter was excellent at dealing with a less than cooperative 1 year old. He went out of his way to work with her and did not try to force her to pose like others did. Ended up with some beautiful shots for a very reasonable price and got them in a timely matter.

We’ve used Peter twice for family photos. He’s fantastic. Did a really good job capturing special moments of our young kids. I wouldn’t hesitate one second to recommend him.

We have had Peter take our family photos twice a year for over four years now in Georgetown. He is wonderful with children and always given us such precious photos from each session. We feel lucky to have found such a gifted photographer and have recommended him to many of our friends with terrific results. The great thing about Peter is that he works with the «now.» He recognizes where the kids are in the moment and captures the beauty of it; we highly recommend him and his artistry.

Skyhigh Art did a magnificient job with our family pictures. His insight on the best places to photograph along with perfect times of the day were invaluable. He also works very well with kids. We used him once and am going to schedule again this month for the cherry blossoms.

Peter gets straight A’s in– Quality of service, responsiveness, professionalism, value and flexibility.
He is unbelievably talented and I have nothing but wonderful compliments on my photos! I have enjoyed every interaction and quality of his services. Getting pictures taken with him was a great experience, I would recommend him for every occasion.
His GREAT EYE for a beautiful shot captures unforgettable moments. As well as a superb job in editing my photos which were greatly appreciated. I was so grateful for his willingness to put in additional work to alter a few photos per my preferences.
Peter is a brilliant photographer and such a friendly man.
He is easy to work with and the quality of the pictures were AMAZING! Our session could not have gone any better. You would feel lucky to have him take pictures for you!

When choosing a photographer, one should take into consideration the following things: style, professionalism and responsiveness, and how comfortable you feel through interaction. Or at least that’s what I took into consideration upon inquiring about Sky High Art. I’m all about photographers who know their value by their work and Peter is worth so much more because working with Peter of Sky High Art has been fabulous.
I loved his portfolio of DC landscape, weddings, and portraitures. He also photographs for the National Press Club in addition to DC’s top spots to see and be seen so you know he’s photographed lots of important, high profile people and events. I thought his portfolio spoke volumes so I reached out to inquire about a shoot. He was so professional, courteous and willing to cater to the needs of his clients and even suggested some great ideas of shots, locations, times for lighting, etc. His work is great and his turn around was so quick and I was so happy with the result. I felt comfortable the whole time and found it so refreshing to work with a great photographer who had a great sense of humor.
I would definitely consider Peter for future projects and definitely recommend him!

I’m not sure what happened with the other two that posted but my experience was amazing! I had to get some pictures taken for a promotional gig. Head shots and full body (not creepy half naked pictures, but normal ones).
I felt super comfortable and am by no means a camera person. Hell I even have 300 likes on facebook (if that means anything these days).
I feel bad for the other two reviews that they didn’t get out of this what I did. But I would totally recommend him.

I had a similar experience to the previous reviewer and also requested my money back. Peter is not friendly, not professional, and as I never got to see my pictures, I can’t judge how they turned out but I can say that I was not impressed with the whole process.
Words of advice, do not buy a photographer voucher. There is a reason they need to drum up additional customers. I have learned my lesson.

I purchased a Groupon for an hour long shoot of my boyfriend and I and provided a short description of the types of photos I was looking for, a link to a Pinterest Board I had created for the shoot, my address, and the plan to take a few photos at our apartment and then photos along the street as we walked to the place we first met– 5 blocks away. Easy.
He arrived 50 minutes late and was extremely rude it– even when I showed him the email where he had confirmed the time and the plan. He started to get increasingly angry, saying it was a terrible plan, he would never have agreed to it, and how could I possibly make him walk 5 blocks? (Are you kidding me?) I had all of this confirmed in writing by him. When I told him that I was sticking to that plan, he stormed off, leaving me to get a refund from Groupon and without any photos.
Peter was absolutely awful to work with and I would never recommend him. I am posting this to warn others.
