I would give no stars or minus five stars if that were an option. I arranged for a moving company in Maryland «under he secor group umbrella» to pack some of my belongings and then store all of my packed belongings and furniture until my new house in Florida was completed. My belongings were in storage for approximately two months. I gave them at least six weeks notice regarding the date I wanted my things delivered. To make a long story short my things were delivered six days after the date I requested. Six furniture pieces were broken or damaged. I was charged for unpacking and reassembling items they had taken apart during the move even though all items they disassembled were suppose to be reassembled upon delivery. I was charged for extra storage days and extra charges to insure my belongings during th extended storage time. These extra charges were made to my credit card with no explanation! It has been three months since my stuff was delivered and my furniture has yet to be repaired. I call to get explanations about the extra charges and never get a straight answer. I call about the repair of my damaged furniture and they tell me they are working on it. Never use this group. Beware because you may think you are dealing with a specific moving company but I signed a contract with United Van Lines and my stuff was deliver by Mayflower. This leaves no one willing to take responsibility not even Secorgroup. Their representative says he only facilitates the move but has nothing to do with charges or damages!

Yes I would choose Security moving and storage service again.
They did a fantastic job of coordinating my move from DC to NYC and back again. I also stored some of my stuff with them during my two-​year stay in New York and for a short period on my return to DC. The first move went smoothly — I don’t remember who coordinated it.
On the journey back — No stress, no worries at all doing the process. I could not have been more pleased. Everything went off without a hitch, people arrived when they said they would, everyone — from the packing in New York to the delivery in Washington — was professional, efficient and pleasant.
Nicole, the move coordinator, was in touch with me throughout.

Sent me an email confirming an arrival time of 10 – 10:30 today– it’s 10:45 and I haven’t heard from them. Horrible customer service from Mayflower who recommended me to them. Seems like a good riddance based on the other reviews! Beware– go with another company.

Damaged expensive furniture and household items, and the sales consultant would not respond to emails. They are partners w/​Trilogy Insurance company to manage their claims — and they are also horrible. NO RESPONSE and we moved over a month ago.
We are shocked and disappointed at the quality of the move. Since we have finished unpacking, we have found numerous items broken and most unrepairable. A one of a kind sculpture has a busted foot; our crystal chandelier is broken; many pieces of irreplaceable/​collectible furniture are dented and in some cases deeply scratched; our Dyson vacuum cleaner has gashes in the base; and, many other pieces of furniture have either some part missing or dented; and, even lawn equipment damaged. Not to mention that we still can’t find some items and we only have 3 boxes left to unpack (and they are too small to hold the items we are looking for). But the most upsetting, was my daughter’s height chart marking her growth since she was born that someone removed from a table top, threw away and not only didn’t ask us if they could remove it, but didn’t even tell us they removed it and threw it away.
We paid a large amount of money to ensure the move would be as seamless as possible, and that our possessions would be handled with care and respect.

Easily the worst communication of any moving company I’ve worked with. Days of emails would go by unanswered. Important information never communicated, dates changed at the last minute. I would describe it infuriating, beyond frustrating, as we’d eventually get a call back, or information provided, days later (and only to our eventual screaming threats), and the self righteous fool on the other end of the phone would say something like «I’m getting back to you as soon as I can, I don’t understand what the problem is». Yes, 5 days turn around on returning a call, when the move is scheduled to happen in 6 days and your only job is to handle information and communication…
