Can I tell you how I immediately fell in love with this place?! It’s super super cute and the customer service is AMAZING! I scored a lightly worn Calvin Klein pants suit for $ 25 and brand new H&M red pumps for $ 5. Ms. Christie and her staff were so kind and welcoming. The prices range from all over. The jewelry and vintage selection is great as well.

I’ve been to nearly every consignment shop in the DC area, the women working here are so friendly and nice! Super willing to help me find clothing in my particular style and size! Great prices! You must check out the $ 2 and $ 5 rack. Definitely coming back here again!

This is a special hidden gem! The items are unique and really fairly priced, and Tracey, the manager, should get six stars instead of five. I went home with some beautiful clothes and a vintage Coach bag. now there’s something I never thought I’d say! I’m so happy to know about this place!

Small shop with very fair prices and extremely friendly shopkeepers. The selection is hit or miss but my friend and I both found things we loved for good prices. I just wish they were a little more discerning with what they put out. Some of it looks worn-​out and too raggedy to wear. I agree with Toya about the feel of it being more thrift store than consignment — there doesn’t seem to cohesion or filter with their selection. I’ll be back though, it’s close enough to wear I live that it’s worth the 30 minutes to see if I can find something good.

I love this place! Tracy is so helpful, and even picked clothes off the rack for me when I told her what I was looking for. Plus, the little touches like confetti in the bag, and a subtle hint of perfume, made me even happier with my purchases when I got home and unwrapped them. Thank you!

A lot of random this and random that. The ladies who work here are pretty nice. However, I would appreciate if they were a bit more selective with some of their merchandise. I think its just a matter of how picky you are when it comes to used clothing.
My issue: The overall presentation of the boutique needs some improvement. The pre-​owned shoes looked excessively worn and some were stained. That is where I think the term thrift store plays a part, rather than consignment shop. Safe to say that you can come here and find a diamond in the rough.

I’ve actually been to this location before and I must say, that experience was far better than what we experienced yesterday. My friend and I were out walking the neighborhood and passed by this location. We looked up and saw the open sign flashing so we decided to make our way in. Once we got to the top of the stairs, two girls just stared at us. So I proceed to ask if they are closed. One girl with a bob cut gave me a dirty look and said yes while the other girl screamed out to someone– perhaps she was getting the attention of the owner and said, you have two customers and said, we are open! Make up your mind!!! Are you open or closed??? It was clear that our visit was not welcomed. Just a few tips for the future:
If you are closed, turn off the flashing open sign
Smile!!! Provide better customer service! If you are closed, the polite thing to say is, we are closed verses giving me the look we received.
Screaming across the store is just inappropriate!
I can say that must likely, I will not be back. There’s another consignment store around the corner with much better customer service!

Given that I couldn’t even give a shit and a half about labels, I usually go to straight-​up thrift stores instead of consignment stores, but I tagged along with a friend who needed to use a gift card or some suchness.
Yeah, so I ended up leaving with a purse, a belt and two broaches. Never have I worn a broach before. Dey got good broaches.
The place is really cute, albeit small, and the prices are pretty on par for consignment. Things they have a LOT of: Dresses, shoes and handbags. Also, oppressively helpful customer service.
I liked the women running this store a lot — they were friendly and helpful. But my friend and I were interrupted four times over the course of three minutes to be given the same information we had been given by the owner about their sales of the day. I almost hate to say it, because they’re super sweet. (I needed to get past a belt rack that was in my way at one point, and I thought the sales woman was going to set that belt rack on fire as penance.) But honestly, the constant checking up did put a lot of pressure on us to buy, and I’m not a fan of that.
Go on Mondays, when designer handbags are 50% off.

I love this boutique. I ALWAYS find something cute and different. Everyone who works there is stylish and knowledgeable about clothing and trends. I hope this place is around for a long time!

Talk about customer service! Every time I go to Starr’s it feels like I have my own personal shopper. I get honest and helpful feedback from the owner (she doesn’t just try to sell you something if it doesn’t look good). And she always goes above and beyond pulling various looks that fit my aesthetic. They have a great shoe and statement jewelry selection.

Some great little finds in this cute shop! Not over-​priced like a lot of the consignments out there.

I love seeing fabulous new businesses opening up in my ‘hood.
I wandered into Starr’s after yoga class to simply browse and, thanks to the skills of their talented sales associates, went home with three new outfits and an amazing pair of Cole Haan heels. The staff at Starr’s knows their stuff — they picked out items for me that were incredibly flattering and helped me pick some great accessories. Did I mention that their stuff is pretty reasonably priced and in good condition?
If you live in Petworth and are in the mood to shop, check this place out.

This is the perfect place for shopping. I personally do not enjoy shopping because I never know what to get, but I love to go here because the owner and her stylists have the most amazing sense of style and can style anyone and make them look their best. No matter what I get from this boutique, I get so many compliments. I have referred so many of my friends there who also love the place. And the best part about it is that it is so affordable. This boutique offers unique fashion for everyone with a personal stylist who will make you look like a million bucks. I highly recommend this place and always look forward to going there!!!
