Rosies and Rockers Boutique

I’m in love with the clothes at this store! If you like tattoo themed art, dia de los muertos, or like more edgy, rocker type clothing you’re in the right place. I had no problems picking out a wide selection of tops, dresses, jackets, and sweaters to try on and walked out with a lovely star and moon themed dress, an edgy faux leather jacket, and an adorable traditional-​style, tattoo-​themed, bolero sweater-​jacket with sparrows and anchors. They also have a selection of men’s clothing, skirts, accessories, and pants to choose from.
If they ever open up a store in Arizona I’d be there all the time for my fashion needs!

Prices are affordable and clothing is unique and spunky! Love it! Thanks for keeping me broke and looking hot.

When I first learned about Rosies and Rockers, at a meeting for a burlesque troupe I’m a part of, it sounded awesome. I figured it wasn’t for me though. Surely this hip boutique in the heart of U st carrying cool pin up clothes was 1: out of my price range and 2: would not carry clothes in my size (3−4X).
I was wrong on both counts. Mateen, the owner orders EVERY ITEM IN ALL SIZES UP TO 4X. To make it even better, they don’t relegate the plus size clothes to the far back of the store. The plus size clothes are right with everything else. I’ve actually been in the store, couldn’t find anything in what I assumed was the fat corner and been about my business. All this time I should have been looking at all the racks. This is such a simple but radical thing for a plus size consumer.
Heres a tip: apparently there are a couple savvy fatshionistas out there who seem to pounce on the 3−4X stuff as soon as it comes in. Rosies and Rockers is worth visiting regularly or watch their Facebook to see when a style you want comes in.
As far as price is concerned the items at Rosies and Rockers are far more reasonable than I anticipated. That was a very pleasant surprise.
Rosies and Rockers also regularly has very interesting events such as concerts and burlesque performances in house. It’s a very cool space and an amazing asset to the artistic community that it supports.

Great rocker and punk style I especially loved the jewelry and ended up getting a couple of pieces along with a shirt for my husband «high on life » :) make sure to pull merchandise all the way out to discover cool sayings and cut outs you might otherwise miss. DC is always humid it was a relieve to find some cold commentary water in the store. Mateen was awesome and give many suggestions. Location is prefect just across from U St metro station On u Street. If your in the area make sure you check it out.

What a breath of fresh air to find a clothing store with such a hip and cool style right near the U-​Street metro! But location aside, the store itself has some great stuff that you don’t get D.C. very often. To be honest it reminded me of a lot of NYC stores in the SOHO area. thankfully the prices are not like SOHO. This store is fairly priced for the quality of goods.
On a side note, the owner of the store has GREAT fashion sense himself and is more than willing to help customers so don’t be shy to ask! He helped me pick out some great stuff!
While I did not look at the men’s fashion much, the selection seemed pretty substantial for them too.
I would highly recommend checking this Boutique out!

I love this store! Right across from U street metro. The guy who helped me was lovely and took the time to explain the philosophy behind the Panda glasses I got and have had many compliments on. I found a gorgeous black t and leather jacket. I will be back. thank you!

Been coming to this boutique since they opened! Such amazing customer service, wide selections of fabulousness. The ambiance of the store is rocking, nice music, and complementary drinks, makes you feel like a celebrity! This is a must go to store in the city!
