Rochester Clothing

I fit size 18 – 18 ½ shirts of certain designers like Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger Here’s why I will NEVER, EVER buy any shirts from this place and now I’m about to avoid buying pants there too.
1. Price: Why would I buy an 18 – 18 ½ RL shirt from R B&T for $ 180 when I can get a better quality shirt from Macy’s at 13^th & G st. for $ 45 on sale (usually $ 60 – 80 regular price)? I can get a PINK brand shirt (across the street) for $ 120 on sale. To make matters worse the last time I came there for pants, kakis they supposedly had them on clearance for $ 185. I was about 2 minutes from saying fuck y’all when I saw a pair of pants handwritten for $ 55 it was a 48 which I didn’t know I could fit.
2. Quality: The shirts they sell with an apparent Ralph Lauren logo seems to be made from an appalling Forman Mills quality cotton that would drape off of me like a moo moo. I have a hard time believing these shirts aren’t knock offs.
3. The sales people: While some of them are helpful those same people may talk your head off about somthing that you didn’t come there for wasting your time. They must have forgotten how men shop, we like to get it and go. I don’t want to talk to you about whether your computer is due for replacement.
If you’re too big to fit Macy’s sizes, I say get your measurements (tape measure from target is like $ 3) and get it from Amazon. If you’re still unsure, try fitting different brands of clothes from different stores. If you buy something slightly larger than you’d like you can get a taylor to hook it up for you and still spend less than buying a crappy shirt from Rochester Big & Tall.

I love the staff at this store! The manager Kisha is top notch! Whenever I come in the store I am greeted with warm welcomes and Kisha always remembers my name AND what I bought for my body friend last time. She lays out full outfits for me to choose from which is a BIG help… Its like having a stylist and I love it. I wish I could find a store for myself that loved so much.

Airlines know you are not going to take a boat, telecoms know you wont go back to dial up, and Rochester knows nobody near by carries size 19′ shirts. The staff are always standoffish and overbearing at the same time (which should be impossible.) Their customer service department is a mire inside swamp inside an office that just stops calling you back.
That said, there are occasionally awesome pieces on their discount shelves. And, most importantly, they carry clothes that fit. The cycle continues.

For Big and Tall clothing, this is as good as it gets. Think of the store as the «Nordstrom» of Big and Tall — very definetly high-​end, hoity-​toity lines. If you’re looking for Ralph Lauren, Robert Graham, Ferragamo, you’ll find them here. They also carry Calvin Klein, and the mid-​range lines. The clothes are fashionable and in sizes you can actually wear. You will find your size. You do not have to leave the store depressed.

The only chain of stores where us big guys can get some of the finest clothes normally reserved for «lesser» people. Great selection, competent staff, great service.
I’ve been in their Washington DC, NYC, Seattle, Orange County and San Francisco stores. Although the spaces they reside in are different, I’ve had a very similar experience in all of them. San Francisco is probably at the top of the list.
