Our family owned jewelry store in the heart of Downtown Washington, DC has been providing personal service to Washingtonians and visitors since 1957,

Came in with an old bracelet that I would no longer wear as the clasp had become loose, and I was too afraid of losing it. Not only did they fix the bracelet on the spot, they did so free of charge and offered to do a free cleaning as well. Cannot recommend highly enough. Everyone was very pleasant, attentive, and helpful. Will definitely be back!

I echo all the comments here. I just took my watch in to get the battery replaced. They couldn’t have been nicer. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes and it only cost $ 14. Would definitely go back.

I first went in here to get a battery added onto my watch and the service was great and affordable. My most recent experience was just so wonderful I wanted to share it on Unilocal.I dropped the watch my boyfriend gave me for Christmas and the screw that holds the band and watch together broke. I went into Robert Laurence Jewelers and asked them to fix it. Because it was such a minor fix, they didn’t even charge me for it. Their kind and quick service is heart warming and I will always recommend them in the future.

I stopped in here to get a battery change for my watch. The service was Excellent and the price was Great. I was in and back out within 10 minutes. They also calibrated all of the hands on the watch and set the date. Would highly recommend.

Stopped in here yesterday because the clasp holding my pendant to my chain had broken. The gentleman working at the time told me he could smolder it or see if he could put a new clasp on it. I wasn’t sure which the better option was so he proceeded to put a new clasp on it. When I asked him how much I owed him he told me there was no charge!
I was in and out in just a couple of minutes and had a great experience. I will definitely come back here if I ever need any jewelry fixed or looking to purchase. Also a great location right by the Metro Center stop. Great customer service.

The shop is across the street from Macy’s/Metro Center and I work nearby, so I took three watches in on my lunch hour — one for a new battery and two to have links taken out of the bands. Margaret was friendly and very quick. The watch was dirty inside so she cleaned it (no charge) and replaced the battery. She was careful resizing my not-​so-​cheap watches and gave me the extra pins and links in a small bag. Then … HORRORS. I realized I’d left my wallet at home that morning! I was embarrassed and apologetic; she could not have been nicer about it, wrote the total down ($ 30) on her business card and said «you can pay me tomorrow.» How’s THAT for service?!

Just came in here to get a watch adjusted and was so pleasantly surprised. Fantastic customer service and the gentleman who helped me went out of his way to may sure it fit right, even though I didn’t buy it there. Will definitely return here if needed.

I went here to have my batteries replaced on two watches. The service was fast and pleasant. The price was reasonable. One of the watches had been worked on earlier in the day at another watch repair place and that repair place could not find the extra battery that powered the analog hands on my Nixon mostly digital watch. That repairman claimed I was wrong when I said there was a fifth battery. The jeweler at Robert Laurence not only believed me, he worked hard to get at that difficult location, changed the battery and got my watch running again. I will come here again.

Staff is so friendly and helpful. We went into Macy’s to find a battery for my husband’s Raymond Weil watch. Silly us for thinking a department store could help us… but at least they directed us across the street to this store. Extremely friendly and customer focused! They not only fixed his watch but offered to clean all my rings even though they knew we were from out of town.
We visited this store late afternoon on Thanksgiving Eve.

I brought my vintage mechanical watch in to Robert Laurence for repair, and I can wholeheartedly recommend the business based on my experience. The friendly and helpful staff were fully transparent and respectful in diagnosing the problem, explaining the repair process, and calling with an estimate and for authorization to initiate the repairs — all a welcome relief.
I just picked my watch up today, paying a reasonable amount for the overhaul, and noticed that the watch face and cover had also been cleaned and polished — a pleasant surprise! The repairs were also covered by a 6-​month warranty.
For location, price, service, and communication, I can wholeheartedly recommend Robert Laurence Jewelers.

The staff at this store are so nice and helpful. I have been taking my watches here to have the batteries changed since 2008. They include a sticker with the date of the battery change in the back of your watch. This helped me identify that one watch was broken and, being very old, not worth fixing.
I was living out of town temporarily and tried to have a Skagen watch fixed because I could no longer change the time. I could not find anyone to fix it there. When I got back to town, I took it to Robert Laurence. The people here identified the problem as rust within a minute or two and fixed it within another few. And, just as other reviewers have mentioned, the services are very inexpensive.

Fantastic! I read the rave reviews about Robert Laurence and came in to have a watch battery replaced. I was greeted right away by a friendly gentleman who swapped out the battery in less time than it took for me to admire a few pieces of jewelry and check in on Unilocal.Even more, the total price was less than $ 12, including the battery!
All I have to say is: I’ll be back!

I needed a couple links removed from my watch. So I took the metro and the store was less than a block away. I went in expecting to have to wait but I was helped immediately and she had my watched fixed perfectly in about 5 minutes. To top it all off it was $ 10!!! This place is amazing. Amazing service and reasonable prices in downtown Washington DC. Reminded me of a local store I would go to in my neighborhood back home. The staff is very friendly and takes great care of its customers. I came in during lunchtime to have a battery replaced. $ 13 and seven minutes later I had a working watch again.
Highly recommend them for anyone looking to quickly have a battery switched replaced.

Went in when my watched stopped working. I wasn’t sure if it was only the battery or a bigger issue.
I didn’t realize they closed at 5:45 during the week. I arrived a minute before but they were gracious enough to let me in.
I was in and out in less than fifteen minutes. After a quick inspection, I only needed to replace the battery.
Great job and reasonably priced.
