Robert Brown Gallery focuses on 20^th century and contemporary prints, drawings, paintings, sculpture, and photography; rare Chinese advertising posters from 1912 to 1935; and Chinese antiquities.

Robert Brown is a member of the Appraisers Association of America and performs appraisals for insurance, donation and estates for 20^th Century and Contemporary art works.

We can advise on framing for paintings and works on paper. We also have advised both corporate entities and private clients in building their collections for over 25 years.

History

Established in 1978.

Robert Brown Gallery opened in 1978 in New York City and moved to Washington, D.C. in 1981. The gallery’s exhibition program has included local and national, but primarily international artists. Most of these artists carry extensive biographies and can be found in private and public collections worldwide. Robert Brown is a member of the International Fine Print Dealers Association and the Appraisers Association of America.
