Ready To Nosh Food Tours

This site does not exist; therefore, there is no way to redeem my Living Social coupon.

Ready to Nosh is out of business. Apparently based on previous reviews they did not run their business very well. Unfortunately I did not find this out until I drove an hour for my food tour, only to find no one there. All websites, facebook page, and twitter accounts have been disabled. Luckily I had a living social deal so I got a refund. No notice whatsoever from the company, so I guess all the people who had food tours scheduled out months from now are screwed!

Their website is down. Are they out of business? Judging by the horrible reviews, I guess they should just call it quits. It’s too bad. It was a great idea.

I had two vouchers and purchased two extra ticekts for my parents while visiting in town. We decided to cash it in after I graduated. The day of my graduation they cancelled due to weather problems and offered to honor our vouchers until December of 2012. I contacted them to see if I could get the money back for the tickets I purchased for my parents. I received no reply. I contacted them again two weeks later and still received no notification. I contacted Living Social and they reimbursed me for the vouchers. However, I never received any reimbursement from ReadytoNosh or any type of correspondence. After reviewing the Unilocal reviews and tripadvisor reviews across the country regarding this company I believe this company is nothing but a scam. I have subsequently reported them to the Better Business Bureau as a result of their negligence and poor work ethics. Due to the poor reviews across the country and the similar complaints that residents of DC are experiencing, I felt it worthy enough to submit a complaint for review.

My friend and I redeemed our Living Social vouchers for the Adams Morgan/​U St food tour on Friday June 22, 2012 at 11am. We both had to take time out of the office but thought it would be worth it! WRONG! Even though we received confirmations NO ONE SHOWED UP TO LEAD THE TOUR. My friend and I did not receive an email or phone call telling us the event was canceled or the meeting place was moved. We stood there with other people, waiting for over 45 minutes! The phone number for READY TO NOSH was not connected and an email inquiry did not receive a response. Ultimately, we had to find somewhere else in the area to eat lunch. I am very disappointed with this experience and have requested a refund as the tour never took place. I will never book another tour with this organization nor would I suggest them to any friends and /​or family members.

Just spoke with a rep for ReadytoNosh food tours. Apparently, they are booked with reservations for the next 5 months on weekends, so any voucher holders must take off from work. In their eyes, despite having MONTHS left until the vouchers expire, this is good business.
Combine that with the reviews here of tour holders not showing up, and voucher holders now take the risk of taking off time from work to go, and have the tour guide never show up. Sounds like the definition of unacceptable to me.

Had 4 vouchers through Living Social for the U Street /​Adams Morgan tour. Got an email that the tour was canceled at the same time the tour was supposed to start. Nobody ever replied to my email — that was 4 days ago. I will never do business with this company again.

Scheduled tour phila love park which stupidly and supposedly had us meet at 33^rd and spruce more than 25 blocks away. Naturally no one showed up and I had tried calling this morning to confirm meeting place and the phone number is disconnected Had used living social voucher, they are refunding it Ready to nosh are sleaze bags

We had the same exact experience as the other reviewers. We purchased vouchers from Living Social. We showed up for the tour, as scheduled, and no one showed up to give us the tour! We called, we emailed, no response. Luckily Living Social gave us a refund, but why would any company say they’re giving tours and consistently not show? It makes no sense.
We still haven’t heard anything from Ready to Nosh.

We redeemed our Living Social vouchers for the Adams Morgan/​U St food tour on Saturday, October 29^th at 10:30am. Received confirmations and everything. NO ONE SHOWED UP TO LEAD THE TOUR. No contact from the company to explain, no apology, no nothing.
I emailed Ready to Nosh at 10:45am on the 29^th to complain. It’s now October 30^th at 5:45pm and I have heard nothing back. Looks like they don’t work weekends — even when they have weekend tours scheduled.

I emailed LivingSocial with the link to these terrible reviews and they refunded my vouchers!

We purchased the U Street/Adam’s Morgan food tour and arrived 20 minutes early for our 10:30 tour on October 1.
No one showed to lead the tour and we left a half hour later. Emails and phone calls to the company weren’t returned. Living Social even tried their contract information.
Boo ‘Ready to Nosh’ — was so looking forward and you failed to show up and deliver.

Ugh. This happened to me too — fail!!! I have contacted Living Social to ask for a refund.

Unfortunately, this «food tourism» company seems to be little more than a scam. I purchased two LivingSocial vouchers for their Adams Morgan/​U Street corridor food tour, and arrived at Ben’s Chili Bowl — as instructed by the website — on the day of our tour. No one from the organization ever showed up to lead our tour.
I contacted the company via the information provided on their website and informed them of my situation. The owner replied promptly, and ensured that he would make the situation right. Days later, after repeated inquiries, I’ve still yet to hear how he plans to do this.
I followed the registration instructions on their website, and even received a confirmation email for my reservation. The owner informed me that my reservation didn’t process in their system.
So in sum: best case, they have an unreliable, ineffective reservation system that has a high likelyhood of ruining a fun birthday present for your girlfriend. Worst case, they’re little better than an organization who takes your money, fails to deliver on the service they promised to provide in exchange for said money, and duck repeated requests from the customer to resolve this situation.
They have words for people like that.
