The hotel gave away our rooms, and we didn’t find out until we got there. We weren’t told what was going on and had to wait an hour for them to send us to a «sister» hotel. This other hotel was 15 miles away, in the opposite direction of where we needed to be. The staff was rude and not helpful at all.

The one sentence that sums up my friends’ and I’s stay at this hotel located in the middle of take-​my-​wallet-​dont-​hurt-​me neighborhood is «you get what you pay for».
Our room was actually pretty nice on first glance. It gives a great first impression! And then we discovered the toilet took 3 – 5 minutes to «reload» between flushes. Whatever, we can time our biology for this.
And then we discovered the TV signal was really grainy, giving us mini seizures. Oh well, we weren’t gonna watch TV all night anyways.
And then none of us could login to the wifi. Meh, nothing to snapchat about in this hotel room anyways.
This particular location must have had a deal with the local Pizza Boli’s. Their number was listed on the keycard to get in. With all this subliminal advertising, we ended up choosing this shithole of an eatery for delivery. Little did we know, we just sentenced our bowels to a gurgling, flumbling, rumbling fate. Don’t ever eat at Pizza Boli’s.
So overall, you got what you paid for. The shittiest part of the stay was our interaction with one of the staff up at the front desk. We asked if we could get a cab hailed to take us to the local music venue. He basically just told us to walk. We sat in the lobby for a minute in disbelief. Like what the heck just happened, did we seriously get told to walk? Is this real life? The other staff member broke a $ 20 for me earlier though, so the karma evens out. The staff, especially the housekeeping staff, were very helpful and friendly.
But– the room was filthy, smelled terrible, and the AC, several lamps, and phone were all broken. I stayed 2 nights and on the second day the shower curtain inexplicably disappeared. They do have a free shuttle to union station but there’s no signup and it gets filled quickly and you’re left with an expensive cab ride.

We stayed November 20 – 22. Sure the hotel needs some updating, it’s in an industrial area with no close food service, McDonalds, Hog on the Hill BBQ and a Chinese place are a two block walk. Breakfast was typical Quality style, the room was clean and bed was comfortable, shuttle to Union Station was great and the drivers were pleasant. We found that it’s best to get dinner to go in the Union Station Food Court and take it back to the Quality. Refrigerator and microwave were in the room. The Front Desk Staff (especially Don) were pleasant and accommodating. Bottom line-​the price was right and we would stay there again. At Union Station we picked up the Big Bus hop on/​off tours for two days while there. That worked great with our shuttle to Union Station from the hotel.

This dump of a hotel should be closed by the health department. The lobby appears fresh with new furniture and bookshelves from Ikea. The reception desk is staffed with a bunch of losers who speak in Farsi or Hindi — it’s hard to tell. The check in staff (indian) were rude, condescending and arrogant teetering on threatening. The check in desk was dirty and sticky. The elevator’s to the 7^th floor where my room was located was slow, noisy and I wondered if I would drop to my death. Once I made it to my room the stench was disgusting — between ammonia and cheap perfume. The drywall was peeling, the closet door was held shut with velcro. The bathroom was recently refurbished but it really didn’t improve my overall impression. The telephone was missing it’s plastic overlay, it was dirty and the chord was in knots.
Now for the truly disgusting part — the bedspreads. They were stiff in places (we all know what that means) and smelled like cigarettes and pot. The sheet were 100 thread count if that much. The green carpet was stained, dirty, dingy and had not been cleaned in years. The AC was noisy and smelled like mildew or mold.
I requested a roll away bed upon checkin — it never arrived. I called the front desk around 10pm and was told no one could bring it up and the 3^rd person could sleep on the floor. I told them I needed a roll away bed ASAP. They told me where to find one and bring it in myself. I asked about sheets/​pillows — was told I didn’t need them.
The neighborhood is sketchy at best. Yes there is a liquor store across the street and homeless bums around the hotel. I also heard that ½ the hotel is rented to the Salvation Army or Camillus House which explains the disgusting nature of the room.
Parking is limited at best. The gates are locked at 10pm so if you arrive late you have to drive around and find off-​site parking. The indian shuttle driver (obviously a relative) refused to take me to Union Station telling me it was a 2 mile walk. Skinny male indian at the front desk spoke in Hindi and the driver reluctantly drove me to the station.
Internet was up only about 20% if that much. Cable TV did not have Fox News with a message on screen «This channel has been blocked by the subscriber».
As reported by others, there is a continual party which goes until 3 or 4am. Lots of shouting, laughing, screaming, swearing and «ghetto talk» using the «N» word between the partygoers.
Spend your $$ elsewhere and not in this disgusting dump.

The good news: free breakfast every morning.
The bad news: The rooms had little things that take away from the décor. chairs with burn marks in them elevators that sound as if they would break any moment. The workers who clean are nice but the management is iffy. Very indian and very impatient. On the other hand they deal with a lot of people from the area. So when you come from out of town– like i did, they seem to be feed up with you from the start.
This hotel is at best, rinky-​dink with a touch of style. I would not return unless it was free.
And even then id have pause.
Oh and they will knock then come in to your room. So lock your door and hide your personals and valuables when u leave ur room!

Four-​star locations aren’t all that interesting to me, and I figure if you need a long list of accommodations in a temporary place, you’re really not vacationing. So I would stay here again, but only after my con tweaks were made.
Cons:
1) You’re charged for a security lockbox fee, but no one told me I even had one.
2) They have HBO on their directory and a pamphlet rundown of all the shows and movies on the station. But the station didn’t work on my TV. They said they had satellite cable so they didn’t know what was going on. The front desk person didn’t tell the technician, and then the technician didn’t know the code to reset the cable to recognize all stations. Two days later, HBO still wasn’t fixed.
3) I had a broken microwave, and I had to go downstairs for the maintenance lady to heat up three plates of food in some hidden room. Meanwhile she’s strolling through the lobby, not checking on the food, not telling me the status and finally I went in the room myself to make sure my food wasn’t getting hard.
4) They take forever to answer the phone. I called on at least four different occassions, and the phones rang 10 times. One time the lines got crossed, and I ended up talking to a guest who asked ME how much the rooms were.
5) One of the shuttle drivers made me feel like I was in the middle of a Tyler Perry movie. She didn’t open the back door so I had no idea there was a place to store luggage. She watched me struggle with a bag with a broken handle and a large suitcase and didn’t help. Same goes for my passenger. I get inside finally, and she’s blasting Biggie Smalls loud as hell. Now I like Biggie, but I just don’t think it’s professional to be blasting rap music without asking your guests if they mind. She argued with cabs. She stuck her tongue out and made faces when someone cut her off. She swerved around cars. By the time she tried to make conversation about my hometown, I mumbled my answer and turned to talk to my traveling companion. Then I guess she got mad that I wasn’t talking to her because she turned a Beyonce song up loud, sang the words and was making so much noise that we stopped talking. And it was freezing in this van. What blew me was she was doing this with a hotel guest in the front seat, too. He tipped her. I originally did not although I almost always tip. My travel buddy and I struggled to get our bags out again, and then we both stormed off shaking our heads.
6) This is NOT a walking neighborhood. There’s a big, loud train station in the back, a creepy hotel across the street, a gas station and a gated up liquor store. It is definitely a better idea to order food by phone.

I missed my departure time and surprisingly enough I rebooked a room there for one more night because I wasn’t familiar enough with other locations to test them. Plus there were some major perks.
1) The hotel is a hood spot, but the actual inside is very pretty. There’s a nice TV and fireplace in the lobby. There’s a business room for quick Internet use. The fitness center is fun (although the scale has to be broken because as much as I wouldn’t mind losing 23 pounds, I’m pretty sure my weight on there was too low). The inside of the hotel just doesn’t look like it fits on that block. You walk inside and the guys outside smoking, some random person broke glass and the dimly lit area completely disappear from memory.
2) The tech guy couldn’t help me with HBO but he was friendly.
3) I saw the same female shuttle driver later on my first night, and she was so nice to me that I felt guilty for not tipping her so I tipped her in the lobby. I saw her again the next day and she’d at least turned the music down when there was a van full of people. She brought another worker with her as passenger company, and neither of them bothered to open the back door or help with bags a second time. But I was so thrilled that she wasn’t blasting the AC like a freezer and bumping the music really loud so I smiled and waved the next time. She’s nice and likes to talk. Just way TOO free spirited for someone at work.
4) The other shuttle driver, Carlos, wasn’t even a driver. He was a maintenance guy filling in for someone who was off. He was friendly, warm, professional, kept soft music and/​or the news stations on, and I tipped him twice. He even joked that he was happy to see that I missed my train so we came back. Good dude. We liked him a lot. I think he deserves a raise.
5) The continental breakfast items are plentiful and delicious. What a healthy variety.
6) The staff (minus that lady who wanted to model across the lobby instead of heat my food) is pleasant, patient and even when they’re dead wrong (not answering calls, not reporting missing cable, being wacky shuttle drivers, etc.) they never really deviate from being calm. I respect that.
7) Excellent value for a hotel room with a refrigerator and microwave included, especially after Carlos hooked one up for us that worked.

The staff is very friendly. The rest of the hotel is horrible. First night people tried to enter my room at 1:30am. Room next door had a party that started at 2:30am. The shuttle driver said that the homeless shelter rents out half of the hotel. This hotel is not worth your time and does not represent the Comfort Inn brand.

DO NOT STAY HERE. The low price is not worth the agony!!! We stayed at this hotel September 18^th/​19^th 2013. The staff was friendly, especially the shuttle drivers, however that is the only thing positive I can say about this hotel. The room was probably the worst I’d ever seen.
* Shower curtain had been re-​attached multiple times as evidence by 4 sets of screw holes. It was a curved rod which was barely hanging up so therefore it was impossible properly close the curtain. It just slid to the middle of the rod.
* There was black mold looking marks along the seal of the tub.
* The hair dryer smelled awful when turned on so I didn’t use it.
* There was a sizeable whole in the back of the bathroom door that looked like someone had punched the door. It had been «repaired» with clear tape which was partially painted to «conceal» the damage.
* There were velour blankets on both beds that were so old and bare they felt like wool army blankets.
* We enjoy the ranting and hollering of some woman who walked down our hall a few time screaming obscenities at the top of her lungs.

Summary: Clean rooms, friendly staff, decent breakfast, free shuttle to Union Station and back all day.
I enjoyed staying here. It is a little far from the city center, so if you’re taking a cab they may get a bit confused. However, as mentioned, there is a shuttle from Union Station just about every half-​hour during busy season, so you likely won’t need to take a cab back.
Very friendly staff, especially our shuttle driver! We had one ride with some visitors from Holland and me (I live in New Orleans) and she was chatting us up about our respective cities of residence. True southern charm.
I’d recommend this place for families or people not needing to be downtown late at night; after a long day of touring, it’s nice to get away a bit to a quieter hotel out of the hullabaloo.

Do NOT stay at this slum hotel. From the minute you arrive you will realize you have made a huge mistake. You will notice The Peacock Liquor store directly across the street which is right next door to a «pay by the hour» motel. Then you will notice that the train runs directly behind the hotel. When we walked in to the lobby we were struck with a smell. The only way I can describe it is, the smell of ammonia covering up something bad.
We quickly learned that nothing but fast food was in the area and the suggestion was made not to walk. After check in we went to our room. We requested a non smoking room but were placed in a smoking room. The floor in the bathroom was slimy/​slippery and we found bugs in the bathtub.
We realized we couldn’t spend another minute in the room. We went back down stairs and politely told the manager that we would be leaving. She became very argumentative and insisted we stay. I let her know that we would not be staying again and she imidiatly told me she was charging us. It was sooooo bad that we didn’t even care. Just awful!

— Clean, tidy and fresh smelling rooms
— Towels and linen was great
— They didn’t increase rates for 4 people staying in a 2 double bed room, which is unusual (others charge something per extra person beyond two usually). That worked out very wel!
— Superb breakfast — I know it sounds funny, since all of these motels have the same continental breakfast — but they had a waffle baker and fresh waffles on Sunday morning was a treat!
— Good big lobby to wait /​watch TV /​just sit and have a coffee.
