You’ve got to love good local businesses. Petals did the flowers for my sisters wedding and they were beautiful. My office needed to order flowers for a funeral so I called them. Super sweet and helpful. Turns out the spray was cheaper than the online retailers. Petals will be my go-​to for all things floral.

This shop is in our neighborhood and my husband has used them for flowers a few times. So, we had Ms. Sarah do the flowers for our small wedding, centerpieces and bridal bouquet. The price was very reasonable and everything was delivered on time. I really liked how the table centerpieces came out. I wish I had been more clear about the bouquet because although it was very pretty and looked good in the photos, it didn’t come out the way I had envisioned. All of the flowers were fresh and lasted a long time after the wedding. This is a local business that we’ll continue to support.

The service was so quick I was so grateful. My mom passed and I needed 2 oval base white and pink rose sets.
The owner was so sweet, after explaining to her what I needed she told me they would be ready soon as tomorrow because she wants to use fresh flowers or else it could’ve been done by the of the night :)
When I got my flowers it was short of what I expected but she fixed it up for a little more $ by filling space with roses and helped me take it to the car.
She compromised on price with me and my total was $ 155. Yes pricey but comparing florist and in the time she had it ready, and for my mom truly priceless! Pleasant experience

Needed last minute flowers for my mom on Valentine’s Day. Soon as I walked into, what was a crowded store full of shoppers, I was still personally greeted and asked if I had any questions. The florists were clearly busy, but were able to meet my needs and attend to other customers. I walked in anxious I would find no last minute flowers and walked out with what my mom would later describe as the most beautiful flowers she has ever seen!

Lucas and her staff have provided me with superior products, on time and last minute deliveries as well as personalized service for over 15 years! I order from her whenever I need flowers sent locally or out of town. Her staff get them there on time and they are always fresh. On occasion, I get a chance to stop by the store and pick out a card from her diverse set of cards. She also has many unique one of a kind gifts that I can pick from to accompany the order. It is great to have such a valuable resource right in the neighborhood. The store is right in Brookland NE DC close to Providence Hospital, The Catholic University of America, Washington Hospital Center, and the new Monroe St. Market. Give her a couple of days and she can get whatever you need — and it is fresh. Her website is:

Such great service, and value for my money. Paid around 60 bucks for an arrangement that the store owner hand delivered the same day (because the location it was going to was nearby, and her driver had already left for the day). All other shops told me that I couldn’t get same day delivery and Petals, Ribbons & Beyond were my only hope. Very satisfied, would definitely use again and reccommend it to everyone. Just a heads up though they don’t have a website so I had to go with a verbal description of the arrangement rather than seeing it/​designing it myself. Otherwise, all good. Thank you Sarah!
