Really nice cashier, he doesn’t just try to sell you stuff he actually helps you find what you’re looking for. Prices are fair, it’s DC after all.

Small Liquor Store. Great Salesman, better friend.

Small liquor store nestled on Macomb. The location is cuddled up beside Cactus Cantina. Decent selection of craft-beers and wine. I always stop over to grab something quick before going over to a friends house. The man who runs the store is really friendly every time I’m there. He let me know that the beer I selected was also cold in the fridge(but I was going home to put it in my fridge anyway so it didn’t matter, it was nice that he offered).

The worst liquor store ever! The guy who works there(I guess the owner) is the rudest person I’ve ever met. I once went to see what liquor I wanted to buy. Turns out that nothing I wanted was there, but I did need to buy some soda, so I bought a 2 liter bottle of coke thinking that at least he’ll appreciate the fact that I bought something. When I went to the counter, I had to ask how much it was, he said aggressively«give me 3 dollars!» Another time I bought beer and he got mad that I wanted a bag for it, and then when it turned out to be $ 10.96, he made me give him 96 cents, WTF!!!

John is a great guy. Yeah, his stuff is more $$ than, say, Tenley Market, but John has taken many of our recommendations over the past year & has added to/stepped up his variety. This place is a neighborhood joint, as prices may show, but I’m gonna support my local vendor.

Really really expensive. 12-pack of Yuengling for 12.99? Give me a break. Dude knows his prices suck, too, because he doesn’t put them on anything. On the other hand, if you want to throw your money away, he’s really nice so you’ll get plenty of help in doing so.

The year is 1996. I do not have a driver’s license. I am not old enough to drink alcohol legally. I borrow a friend’s parent’s minivan(I don’t actually know this friend’s address or last name, so perhaps, she’s not so much a friend, as a girl who crazily let me borrow her van) to go to Papa’s(it was called a few names ago differently). We purchased a large quantity of alcohol. He gave us a good deal(as we were purchasing a large quantity of alcohol). We drove home, and sped, just to do it. I heard they got busted for selling to minors. I can’t imagine…
