The food here is ok. The service is terrible. I’ve been here a few times because it’s a block from my house, but I’ll go next door to Sandovan instead. When I call on the phone to order I’ve been hung up on twice because they didn’t have anyone there who spoke English. Also, their credit card machine is often out of order and I once received a receipt written out on a napkin. There are too many better places to get Salvadorean food, don’t go here.

We found parking on the street nearby and ate here on a whim early one Saturday evening. There was no one in the restaurant and we got friendly helpful service right away. We had guacamole with crispy chips, chicken enchiladas(not very spicy), lomo saltado(very tasty), tiramisu(not at all soggy), Mexican beer and decaf coffee. Everything was good enough and very reasonably priced. The one difficulty was that we don’t speak Spanish and the server didn’t know English so we stumbled through our order a bit but that added to the ambiance. I later discovered that the restaurant had had some issues with food inspection in May but it looks like they are trying to recover(and we only got bothered by one fly as we ate). It’s an older storefront but has been renovated somewhat so a wheelchair could get through the ramp at the narrow front door(didn’t check the bathrooms).
