I would give 10 stars if that was possible. I have tried a lot of massage therapists, b ut Melissa is by far the best. She is professional, knowledgable and just seems to know exactly what I need. She is also very helpful offering some ideas for stretches and interim solutions to decrease stress in between sessions. Her prices are reasonable and she is super convenient!

Given that four other reviews are being hidden that give Melissa 5 stars, I’m almost afraid to give her top rating — but honestly, anything less would be underselling her incredible work.
There are two types of massages in the world: froofy-​scented-​oil-​and-​relaxation-​but-​no-​difference massages, and relaxing yet therapeutic massages that actually help your body and leave you feeling healthier and better. Melissa gives the latter type of massages. She is great at finding areas with tension, paying attention to your needs and taking cues from your reactions to treatments, and also helping work through injured areas (she did wonders in helping my sprained ankle heal). She is also has a great personality — she will keep you laughing and always takes a personal interest in me.
The entire experience is very relaxing; her office is located within a wellness practice in Tenleytown, and is very cute, subdued, and quiet (great for focusing and mediating while getting your massage). Also, the location within a wellness center combined with Melissa’s extensive certifications and background make me feel more at ease letting her tackle major problem areas (ankle, lower back, etc.).
In short — Melissa is a healer and someone who creates relationships with clients that you don’t usually get. Cannot recommend her more highly.

I’ve been seeing her for massages for about a year. She’s very knowledgeable and always answers specific questions I have about different areas of my body and different activities I’m doing. She’s always well-​prepared for our appointments and takes time to find out what areas need the most attention. She uses the perfect amount of pressure and is always willing to adjust as needed.
She also uses really amazing lotions/​oils/​what have you. I leave feeling relaxed and restored every time!

Great massage! Melissa is very knowledgeable in her field and has been practicing for years. She recently relocated to this area and I was lucky to find her. She listens well and focuses on problem areas with great insight. I get massages regularly to manage chronic tightness and I always feel so much better after a session with Melissa. Her studio is peaceful and relaxing and I love being able to schedule online through her website.
