History
Established in 1979.
Barbara R. Miller began practicing law in the District of Columbia in 1979. She later expanded her practice to Maryland. Ms. Miller’s practice focuses on probate matters including estate planning and estate administration. Ms. Miller prepares wills, trusts, powers of attorney and living wills. She assists clients in probating estates. Ms. Miller also handles guardianships and conservatorships. Ms. Miller served two terms on the Steering Committee of the Estates, Trusts & Probate Law Section of the D.C. Bar. She currently serves on the D.C. Superior Court Probate Education Committee. She is a member of the Estates & Trusts Section of the Maryland Bar Association and is active in other professional groups.

Barbara R. Miller graduated from Yale University in 1974. She attended Stanford Law School, earning a law degree from that institution in 1977. Following law school, Ms. Miller clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She then relocated to Washington, DC where she was admitted to the bar in 1979. During her early years in the District of Columbia, Ms. Miller worked as a public defender and taught at Antioch Law School. In 1985, Ms. Miller established a private practice focused on probate matters. Ms. Miller was admitted to the Maryland bar in 1986. Ms. Miller is active in various professional organizations and is a member of the Estates, Trusts & Probate Section of the DC Bar as well as the Estates & Trusts Section of the Maryland Bar Association.
