Metro Bus 80

I wish this bus ran a little more frequently but I guess we can’t have everything in life! Between this and the S1, I can now mostly get to work on time and without a freezing mad dash — pretty sweet. I think it did not run so much in the blizzard aftermath but seems to be on track now and great.

I have ridden the 80 bus all over DC for YEARS. I cannot believe no one has Unilocaled it yet.
I’ve gotten on at the Kennedy Center and off around China Block. Then back on to head home.
I’ve ridden to and from Fort Totten or Brookland more times than I care to remember or could probably even count.
And eventhough this thing goes all around town, last night, I actually used it to get around my own ‘hood.
I hopped on, tapped my SmartTrip card, went up to Pilates. And at the end of the night, thanks to NextBus and my trusty crack-​er-​BlackBerry, I hopped on and it took me within a block or two of my humble abode. Yessss! The 80 Bus, I’m a fan.
Oh, with it being such a bargain, and going so many places and being so reliable, why only 4 stars? Well the other passengers can be a bit testy sometimes. Sometimes mental patients (or at least people who are behaving like mental patients), loud poorly behaved kids, and drunks (I mean real drunks, not, ahem, cute ladies who have returned from Unilocal elite events) seem to be on the bus at the same time as me. Yech. Oh well…
