FANTASTIC. This is the real-deal. I felt incredibly comfortable in this historic landmark. I gave Reggie free reign, and he performed top notch work. This is a gem in the NE district. Mr Mason rose to the occasion while the rioting erupted during MLK’s régime, providing service to the members of this community. The gentlemen at this establishment maintain the highest degree of servitude, chill atmosphere, and conversation. First rate!

Worst $ 25 I ever spent on a hair cut. Sad part is I got here when I’m in town from NYC and never had such a messed up skin fade! Should have known better then to let this barber cut my hair since he was more interested in the chess game and only took 5 minutes to cut my hair. Thank God I didn’t wanna get the top part of my hair cut! I had to come home and use a razor blade to get my hair skin on the sides since all he used was a clipper.

The best place for a good hair cut in NEDC. One of the oldest barbershops on H Street NE. A safe environment with good conversations about sports, politics and life. Ask for Reggie. But be forewarned, if Reggie cuts your hair, don’t talk bad about the 49ers. LOL I would give this place 5 stars, but because they do not accept credit cards and parking is hard to come by on the H Street corridor I would say they are a 4 or 4 ½ simply due to location and not because of service.

Very reliable, Ernest never disappoints. Not a posh place to go but they have a clean restroom, seating, and the wait for a haircut isn’t long and it’s a professional atmosphere. A haircut with with a shave and razor edge shape up is around $ 25. Woulda gave it 5 stars if they accepted cards and the shop was more upscale.
