Manny & Olga’s Pizza

I usually get the same thing here every time – Grandma’s White and 7 piece wings (the wings are free when you mention the coupon). The food is always good, but the service is always terrible – it’s a trade off.

SCAM! Placed an order around 3am (listed closing hours 4am). Driver calls at 4am to inform me that he has arrived with my food. I wait outside in the cold, and I see no driver. I call the driver, and I’m informed that he forgot my order. I ask how long it would take for him to return and he states «I don’t know». I call and speak to an employee and was told the same «I don’t know». I find if highly unlikely that a driver does not know how long it will take him to return (1^st NW to 9^th NE). I’m almost sure they processed my order online, and never made my food to begin with, given the time that I placed my order.

I order from them at least once a week, and the longest I’ve waited for my pizzas (I always order 2 medium) to be delivered is 40 minutes. I live about 10 minutes away, and my order on Friday night was delivered in 25 minutes. I was shocked myself. I’ve only gotten the pizza, but it’s always fresh and hot.

Good stuff. I would give 3.5 stars if possible. Not sure why all the bad reviews but our food was pretty good. We ordered calzones for delivery, they were cooked well, presentation was nice, and seamed fresh. The portion was large, could have been two meals. We will certainly order from them again. Also they delivered super fast.

This is pretty poor food. Haven’t had the pizza, the cheese steak was good, but the boneless chicken wings are worse than McDonald’s. Of course when you find veal parmesan for less than $ 15, you know you’re getting the same «veal» as in frozen dinners. Goodness only knows what some of this stuff was. But it’s not very good.

Great food, worse delivery ever, it takes them an average of a hour to deliver. as I am writing this, I am still waiting for my delivery. it’s already been a hour and twenty minutes

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. I would give zero stars if possible. They say 30 min wait but really it is 1.5−2 hours. When the pizza finally arrives it is awful. Do not bother, try somewhere else instead of this wasteland. Stay away, I wish i had!

I had a craving for take out pizza for a mega early dinner, felt like trying somewhere new… and Manny & Olga’s is a block away from me on H. I placed the order through their website and only then checked out Unilocal reviews for it. I was surprised, because I had never actually seen a 1 star overall rating on Unilocal (with more than 2 reviews)… and to be honest… had I looked at the reviews before I ordered… I probably would have passed.
With that said, I had a different experience than the nearly unanimous negative reviews. I walked in, the place was clean, the employees were great, and the pizza was ready on time (15 minute estimate).
I ordered the Manny’s delight (chicken, onion, tomato, extra cheese), and it was like 10 dollars for a 12 inch pizza that I could have split with someone. I received a 3 dollar discount because it was my first order through the website. The pizza itself is more simple than what I typically choose, but that’s a matter of personal preference. I have many friends/​family who would prefer this pizza over some of the things that I’ve dragged them to!
It’s my understanding that they are under relatively new ownership, so I’d suggest giving them another chance if you had a really negative experience with service beforehand.

Wish I could give it zero stars. Came here to grab two slices of Pepperoni Pizza and ended up getting my money back. I was thee only one inside at the time. The guy told the lady to make my order. She grabs the trays and puts the pizza on it then proceeds to put the cheese on top. I told the guy to tell her to put some gloves on and make it over. She puts one glove on and starts two new pizzas. After putting the cheese on she grabs the pep with her other gloveless hand and puts it on the pizza. Mind you I’m recording her doing this. After she finishes and puts it through the oven, I tell the guy that I want my money back. He doesn’t hesitate as he sees that she’s still gloveless on one hand. NEVER AGAIN…

The worst I would not even give a star I tip the driver over 20 percent and the manager sends me the smallest breadstick in time not consistent there delivery minimum changes every week I’m trying to feed homeless children and have to deal with this foolery it’s beyond sad

Ordered at 12am and it didn’t get there until 2am. I called a few times and after being on hold for 7 min each time, they told me it was on its way. Also, a man answered one time and offered me a free soda and desert for the wait. It didn’t come with the delivery when it eventually arrived. No utensils or anything. The «cheese bread» was a sad attempt. It was a small pizza with just cheese on it. The calzone was raw in the middle. It was horrible.

Food is worth 3 stars, not bad a decent sandwich, but delivery is shitty. And if you call and say my food is over an hour late? Too bad call back later is what you are told. Not really what you want to hear. I understand the person on the phone is busy but they honestly don’t care if you don’t get your food and could care less that you ordered hours ago. Sorry :(hope you get better!

Will never order from here again. I am about .1 miles away from this place and I ordered my food through seamless 2 hours and 15 minutes ago and I am still waiting on my food. They originally said that my order was out with the driver then when I called back they said they never had my order to begin with. Then the manager called and said they had an «altercation» in the store and he has new staff in the store. Told me my order would arrive in 30 minutes. 45 minutes later from the call I am sitting in the lobby of my building. I am still waiting on waiting…

Unprofessional, imcompetent, and horrific. That has summed up my experience with this place. I placed an order at 6:56 PM to be delivered to the Front Desk of a hotel. It’s 9:30 PM and the food still isn’t here. I call and ask for a manager who wants to argue with me and tell me the delivery guy came at 7:26 PM and called, but no one answered. The Front Desk has no choice but to answer. The real issue is that the order taker and delivery guy don’t speak good enough English to be able to be competent. They cancelled the order and then tell me they’ll remake it and not charge me at 9 PM. So it is 9:30 PM and still no food. I hope this places closes.

This should be zero stars. I placed an order in GrubHub, called because I wanted to add something to the order. They answered the phone while having another conversation and were VERY rude. Told me to ‘call Georgetown’ and hung up the phone. I call back and they tell me my address is too far and they’re not bringing it, but they didn’t even know who they were talking to. They had me confused with another customer. So I just told them to keep their food. Then of course the delivery woman shows up at my place with an attitude and I sent her away. The store calls and asks why I cancelled my order, rudely. Smh. I can’t with this place. Never again.

Don’t ever order from this place. Ordered a pizza and a sub at 12:18 am and got the food at 2:00 am. Not one person, neither the driver nor the associate at the store we spoke to, said «sorry,» the one word which may have eased the ridiculous wait time. Also, the store associates lie to you throughout the process and claim the driver is close by, but really they have no idea and don’t care to let you know… probably so you won’t cancel the order, which we really would’ve and should’ve done.
They’re also really expensive, $ 31 to get a 10″ pizza and a «super sub» delivered. For that and wait time, I will never order from here again.

After a night at the bar, I’m not very picky when it comes to pizza. This establishment, however, failed to meet even the most modest standards.
The pizza is thin, runny, and ill prepared. In fact, I’ve had better pizza at Chuck-​E-​Cheese, and that comes with an animatronic stage show (which I guess is comparable to the robotic and inattentive employees behind the counter of Manny & Olgas). The restaurant has no seating and is filthier than most truck stop bathrooms. And advertising the slices as ‘jumbo slices’ is deceptive as they’re not much larger than regular slices. Quite frankly this place is a disgrace and should be condemned.

Stopped by on 6÷13÷14 around midnight for a slice and they were closed. Plus they have written «specials» sign in the window. Think they went out of business as this is the second time they were closed during business hours. Might just be too many pizza spots on H.

I waited over an hour only for the delivery driver to forget half my order.
40 minutes later, I am still waiting for the rest of the order which I am told is on its way. The rest of my food never arrives.
I call and am told that they are unable to give me a refund for the food that was never delivered. That is unacceptable.
It’s not okay to steal from customers.
And that is what Manny & Olga’s is doing when they charge for items they never deliver and refuse to refund you.

I was never a manny and olga’s fan (from their petworth establishment); but since I live off H st, and have seen the opening sign there for about 2 years, I wanted to check it out. it does help that it’s on the way home from the bars and the few establishments opened at 2 am. I purchased a gyro and slice of pizza. ugh. and felt the wrath of nastiness the moment i was done… the pizza was cardboardy-​frozen est. and the gyro was lacking in flavor. how do you lack flavor in a sandwich that is normally PACKED with flavor? all in all i spent $ 10 to realize I will never go to them again. :;sad face:
