I had a birthday party here for my son’s 16th birthday and approximately 15 of his friends. While they had a great time, I was not impressed with the service and the attentiveness of the wait staff and Manager. They had servers doing nothing while our server was trying to attend to us and other tables. I ended up having to clean the tables and get necessary things for the kids on my own. When I brought it to the manager’s attention, he just shrugged it off and walked away. The party was way too expensive considering what we got.

I thought I gave a review already I guess not. Well this place reeks with good times, fun & excellent drinks. Double or triple up on the Passion Mojito’s and you’ll be dancing on the ceiling

I am totally blown away, how do I manage to spend over $ 100 in your establishment but still have to pay $ 20 to park in the garage. The validation is a JOKE, what is the purpose? I can get more of a discount on parking with a significantly cheaper movie ticket. Not to mention, service was subpar on a Monday. Never again!

I’ve been here two times before(1st time: on a first date with my now ex-girlfriend; 2nd time: date/family outing with my ex, along with my sister & brother). Waiting for a bowling lane to open up those previous times wasn’t long; this time around, though, my best friend & I had to wait for at least 2 hours before a lane opened. Luckily, we contented ourselves with a round of skeeball and plenty of catch-up conversation to kill some time. It’s actually better to make a reservation than to come in off the street to bowl. Also, be sure to double-check the bowling shoes they rent to you to see if the shoe strings are long enough to tie…

I went on a Saturday afternoon so it was pretty empty. That said, if you’re there to bowl, know that the bowling area is very small. Also, I know bowling alley balls are seldom top notch, but these are among the most chipped and worn I’ve ever come across. Convenient location but pretty pricey experience.

The bowling here is nice, and the ambiance is great – especially on Sunday night salsa. Unfortunately, the service is awful. If you’re here past 11:00, the servers walking around are likely to be socializing and happy to tell you«sorry we’re off.» All the while, you can stand at the bar, watch the bartender tidy up for three rounds worth of play, until you get fed up with waiting for a drink. Next time I want salsa, I’ll go to a salsa club, and next time I want to bowl, I’ll go to a bowling joint. This place clearly tries to do way too much, and hiring staff that can handle the workload is not part of what they do.

As one could imagine, there has to be a great effort to mess up bowling, or in this case a lack a proper care. The food although good, it lacked quality and quantity for the price. The only good thing about this was our server who made sure we were comfortable and continuously checked in. Afterward there was the bowling, you Must sign your name and wait to be called. Needless to say, my meal was interrupted with false alarms of a lane being ready. Once I received shoes, these too were just subpar and poorly maintained. The lanes were not divided, in order to keep parties at their own lane, so I shared mine with a very rambunctious family, the floors were sticky and it appeared that no one really put ANY effort into any sort of maintenance. The balls were in just a bad shape overall and the selection was a very poor one. Lastly, for this bad experience the price was way more than an any other alley and really just pretentious. But on a good note, the food tasted good.

Not ideal for a corporate business event. Way over priced. Better alternatives. Only good because they’re right by the Verizon center.

Décor is cool chairs are comfy, ideal for a big groups. Food is as good as any other bowling establishment(which means not at all) but with much higher prices. They have a nice bachata dancing thing on Sunday’s which is unique and it’s nice that kids aren’t around at night. But you still have to wear those bowling shoes…

This review is for the bowling alley. Although it’s not cheap, the lanes are very nice, with ample, comfortable seating and table service for drinks/food. I recommend reserving a lane ahead of time(you can do it online) — which avoids the wait/hassle that is complained about in some other reviews. The shoe rental is very easy and done on check-in. What I particularly liked is they can accommodate kids on the same lane as adults by customizing when the bumpers pop up(it can be for just 1 bowler, rather than everyone on the lane — just ask for this on check-in), and the score is kept electronically. The screen also provides tips on where to hit the remaining pins to maximize your score, which is really neat for the recreational bowler.

Called and said the wait was 2 hours. Went and sign up, left my phone number, came back after two hours, then told the wait is now additional 5 hours. Why did you tell me that it was two and couldn’t call or text me that it’s now extended to five? I think they just want people to come and drink while they wait in order to make more money. Such a crappy experience. Never coming back here and encourage others to never go here either.

My friends and I didn’t eat any food and we waited for roughly 3 hours, but never got the chance to go bowling. Allow me to add a bit more context: 3pm: A few friends arrived before the rest of the group and got on the list for lane where they were told that it would be an hour wait. Sure, no problem. We’ll get a couple drinks in the meantime. 4pm: We were informed that it’s taking a little longer than expected and that it would be another 30 minutes. Ok, we waited for an hour, so what’s 30 minutes? 4:30pm: «Apologies, but it’s going to be another 30 minutes» 5pm: A party is ending and more lanes are opening up, so it’ll be another 30 minutes. 5:30pm: The extremely apologetic manager comes to talk to us for about 15 minutes explaining the situation and why we’ve been waiting so long. Then telling us that it would be another 50 – 60 minutes… a time frame that he expressed could not be guaranteed. Are you kidding me?! 5:45pm: As a group, we decide to cut our losses and leave. 7:30pm: [We have since left, eaten dinner and went home] My friend receives a text message informing us that our lane is ready. It was also nearly one hour past the manager’s 50 – 60 min approximation. #GFY Overall, it was quite an unpleasant experience. The worst part of it all was that there was a period of time where there were open lanes for nearly an hour with no one on them. The only redeeming moment was that our bar-tab, though small, was taken care of by the manager so I respect the effort to rectify the situation. Bottom-line: It was poor customer relations. Don’t say the wait is an hour when it’s actually 4.5 hours.

This place was awful! Went there for a fun night out with two other couples tonight and they literally messed up every part of the night. Every part! It took us forever to get a lane although the place was half empty. Then they told us to go to a lane which was already occupied, not once but twice. When we finally got settled into an empty lane, the pins wouldn’t clear and the we had to keep calling the attendant over to reset everything. To add to this, they rang us up for the hour of bowling, but then screwed up the charges due to the lane swaps and made everyone go back down and pay again. A few of us ordered food, but unfortunately my meal came out wrong and they hassled my husband when he placed his order. I asked for a standard menu burger with their special sauce on the side, and got a burger with the wrong cheese, sauce on the side, and sauce somehow also on the burger. Why would you put sauce on the side AND on the burger when the guest asked for it on the side? Doesn’t that defeat the whole point? Anyway, they brought out my new burger after a LONG wait, but then did not bring out the chips again which I didn’t even get to eat. Thanks for charging me for those! And about the bill… we finished playing and waited for our server to come back to pay. No response. We got our coats, changed our shoes, and stood waiting by the door. Still no response. I went to use the bathroom and seriously thought about walking out but then suddenly she reemerged from the back and we told her we wanted the check so we could leave. To which point she rolled her eyes and got an attitude and went to ring us up. All in all it was a horrible entertainment experience(other than the fact that I won). I would NOT go back here under any circumstances(well maybe if I was at gunpoint).

Lucky Strike is disappointing. I’ve not been before and I guess I expected a more upscale environment and experience. 1. It’s pretty small. I think there are 14 lanes, but a lot of space for the bar and tables behind the lanes. The biggest complaint, it feels like bowling is an afterthought to the booze. 2. We had a party so we rented out 2 lanes. Good luck figuring out the computers. I’m still not sure how to reset when the pins are stuck. And you can’t find anyone to help with bowling issues. Again, bowling doesn’t feel like it’s their min focus. 3. The balls might be the ones Fred Flintstone used. I mean beat to hell, sad, and you get whatever bowling balls happen to be in your… bowling machine thing. 4. It’s pretty damn dark. It impairs your bowling success. 5. Music — it’s random. It wasn’t current hits, or 90s or 80s. It was a song you’ve heard of and then a few you’re like huh I’m not familiar. If bowling is an afterthought, at least throw in some good music mixes so I’m singing or dancing or reminiscing on a song from back in the day. We had those beer towers and apps. Not very exciting. It’s also not cheap so you should be able to have higher expectations. Plus, you’re not going to be able to bowl longer than reserved. Good for them because it means they’ve got people queued up to go next, but good to know. If you’ve got a group of people, you’ll have fun, but it’ll be because of your group and not Lucky Strike. I wouldn’t go here if you’re trying to actually bowl or if it’s just a couple of people. There is a lot of room for improvement. I’d recommend just going to Bowl America. Honestly.

I came for a corporate team event, which made it fun. If I had paid my own money, I would have been pissed. I actually had fun here, but the service was really shoddy at first. The person checking us in was kinda nonchalant but to the point where you wanted to be like uh, are you going to help us at all or should we help ourselves. Our server that was designated for our party was really good. She helped us and was attentive but not annoying. We had unlimited beer/wine and some finger foods. I think the package for 10 people costs around $ 800. I could be wrong though. The chicken nuggets, they aren’t called that but that is the only way to describe them, were good. The other food was okay. The balls they offer need some work. They are all soooo beat up. I wish the way they ran their business was more organized. The bathrooms were really really hurt too.

I come to Lucky Strike to meet with friends a grab a quick happy hour drink before we head into whatever event is going on at the Verizon Center. I’d much rather buy a $ 5 gin and tonic here versus a $ 11 bud light in there. First experience was before Jingle Ball 2014. It was decent– the drinks were good and fast but the food took forever. The place was packed though so it was deemed acceptable to us. Last week, my girlfriends and I went here before the Ed Sheeran concert. I should have been concerned that there was virtually no one there the entire time we were. Drinks were once again good but the food situation was weird. We received a flatbread we did not order and the rest of the party’s food took excruciatingly long for the venue being desolate. We questioned the flat bread and we were told it was because we mentioned it sounded good that the bartender assumed we wanted it. No, just saying something sounds good is not an order. We ended up paying for it and eating it because we didn’t want to be wasteful, but hope next time they will not simply assume something without direct verbal«yes I want this.»

I’ve been bowling here once a week for the past 6 weeks. Every week it takes ages to order a drink, and then longer to receive it. If you ask a waiter who is just standing around, they say that each section has a designated person. If you go to the bar, they say if you’re bowling you are supposed to use the person designated for your lane. It’s just frustrating waiting 30 minutes to order and receive a drink. Although this sometimes happens at bars, it’s been 6 weeks on a Tuesday night and the result is always the same.

I came here for the Magic Mike viewing in which I had signed myself and my daughter up for a show and a deal where they had Appetizers beforehand and this was a spot that we went to Imagine my surprise when I checked in here and a free movie appetizer was offered under Unilocal!!!The staff was awesome and the girl who rang up my drinks told me what options I had for free food under the Unilocal app I ended up getting the spicy chicken flatbread pizza and although it was a little too spicy for me my daughter was very happy to take it home They do not offer sangria which is pretty much the only drink I can tolerate without getting sick and so the bartender knowing how to make them simply charge me for a glass of wine and made it for me. I had two of them. Overall I give this place five stars because customer service was awesome the food was great and it was very clean I have zero complaints and would definitely recommend!

Time for an update… the lanes are in desperate need of a tune up. The pins randomly fall down for no reason, so we have to wait for them to be reset. Sometimes the ball doesn’t come back. The servers assiged to the lanes do a great job, but I have seen the bartenders ignore customers and even be rude at times. Don’t even get me started on the restrooms. I hope things change for the better soon.

Cool bowling spot in the heart of Chinatown. On the 2nd floor of Gallery Place right by the movie theater. We play in the Better Off Bowling league on Sundays and it’s the perfect ending to the weekend. This place is a bit pricey normally but the league bowling is pretty affordable. They have $ 20(including shoe rental) all you can bowl on Monday nights after 8pm. We’ve done a few Monday night get togethers after work here and it has been a good time. Not too crowded and you get your money’s worth. Good times all around and the food is decent as well. Big TVs all over the place and a nice bar area.

On Saturday, my friends and I came here for post dinner birthday celebration. I like how they check IDs upon entering the venue. However, I dislike how bowling/pool are first come, first serve. I wished the venue would take reservations(with credit card on file) for both bowling and pool so people can make firmer plans and also, reduce group wait time. Due to live sports playing on the big screens, Lucky Strikes was jam-packed, there was limited places to sit, and it was hard to socialize due to a rowdy sports fans. While our party waited(~45 minutes) for a pool table to open up, we enjoyed a few bottles of cold beer! Since we only played pool for half an hour, it wasn’t worth $ 15.
