Established in 2014.

Love ‘N Faith Community Café was established in 2014 as our first brick and mortar storefront. We are serving Faithfully Sweet Ice Cream which was established in 2011 at the Washington Convention Center. Faithfully Sweet Ice Cream was the first to bring liquid nitrogen ice cream to our Nations Capitol and has been Wowing guests ever since, we look forward to welcoming you to our Café.

Faith has been cooking sweet things since she was a 5 year old child, it all started with TOLL HOUSE Cookies… At 12 she was making breads & cakes and became famous in S. Florida, people would always request her Chocolate — Chocolate Cake. Sweet things have always been at the heart of Faith’s cooking, her specialties include things like her cakes, Lemon Meringue Pie, Key Lime Pie, Morning Sticky Buns, and some of her earliest childhood memories include turning the crank on the ice cream machine with ice and rock salt! Faith has developed an entire line of naturally sweetened ice creams and desserts, so when she discovered Liquid Nitrogen (LN2), it was a perfect fit for the next step in her food career. Her GM at Centerplate/​NBSE — Vince McPhail gave her an opportunity to bring LN2 Ice Cream to the Washington Convention Center, she has been making Homemade Ice Cream and Fresh Fruit Smoothies since 2011. She has perfected her craft and is happy to Welcome you to our new café.

We just moved to the area and decided to get out and try to find some ice cream. Love N’ Faith is amazing! The customer service was outstanding and the ice cream is amazing. The owner was so friendly and really took time to make us feel at home. We tried the Cookies and Cream, Nutella, and Chocolate flavors and they were all amazing… The ice cream has a great texture and tastes really fresh.
We will definitely be going back.

I couldn’t have better things to say about Love N’ Faith Community Café! 5 stars for quality, taste, cleanliness and customer service. My go-to’s are the Love Juice (amazing) and the Egg&Cheese croissant (perfection in breakfast sandwich form). The staff is great… Paris, Corey and Faith always greet me with a smile — as do the rest! It’s a great place for me to work for a few hours in the morning because it’s not crazy loud and they always have a good music selection going. Highly recommend as a place to grab a quick coffee and muffin or to relax and stay a while!

Went for ice cream — and did not disappoint! I had vanilla while my boyfriend had cookies and cream as a milkshake. Both were truly some of the best ice cream I’ve had. Only complaint is I wish there were more flavors! Reasonably priced, especially for DC.

This place is solid. Nice, clean, airy space. Very friendly staff. Let me add kale to a smoothie that had everything else I wanted in it already (the pre– workout); was a little sweet for my liking… but still a great way to start the day. BF got an iced coffee and egg white and spinach breakfast sandwich was was very happy with both. Only in DC for the weekend but will likely be coming back before we leave.

You have to appreciate a good café. A good atmosphere, friendly staff, and a great selection of treats. Love N Faith puts you in a place where you can work, enjoy people’s company, and relax. The ice cream is the speciality. I can’t wait to try more on the menu!
Update: Just tried the Strawberry Nojito! Much love to Jasmine for the great service. The combination of strawberry and mint is an interesting balance of flavors but it works.

Went in for breakfast with a friend on friday morning. Got a very bad ice coffee (almost tasted like there was a hint of tea in it) and a bagel/​cream cheese that tasted like you would expect from the frozen section at the grocery store. Considering the quality and the price i will not be back in there again… sad because i live right around the corner. I would rather walk down to suckers farm and get a bullfrog bagel and compass coffee, for the same price.

Awesome spot! Hard to find a friendlier and more welcoming staff. They also have relatively low turnover which is fantastic because they really get to know you.
The food and drinks are great. Definitely check out the breakfast panini-​pressed croissant sandwiches. I have to have it on a weekly basis.

Friendly service, fantastic coffee and made to order ice cream… who could ask for anything more! This cute little coffee shop has the neighborhood feel you are looking for. I have have been here a few times. Each time looking for something different. Breakfast sandwich, lunch, coffee and ice cream they were able to please my needs. Sitting at the tables or lounging in the big chairs enjoying everything about this place including the free wifi. The quotes on the table made me ponder and think for a minute as I enjoyed my delightful time in this café.

My husband and I stopped by after I read about the café on Unilocal.I had an adffogato. He had a smoothie and tuna melt. Service was superb. They didnt have chocolate chip cookie dough so the owner made me some from scratch. We enjoyed the show (watching the ice cream be made) and the samples while we waited. I will absolutely get the chocolate-​coffee-​caramel ice cream when I return. I love great service, non-​chain restaurants and companies with a mission. Win on all 3! Highly recommend.

It’s a standard coffee shop/​ice cream parlor feel. The workers were all very helpful and extremely friendly. The name of the place sounds more like a church function than an ice cream place, but there wasn’t a crucifix or bible verse in sight thankfully.
The ice cream is extremely dense and creamy. We tried a few samples and I got a scoop of Nutella and a scoop of vanilla bean. The vanilla bean was rather flat but the Nutella was really good.
Would definitely suggest this place for visitors.

So much to say about this gem! Watching the ice cream being made was only the beginning of the goodness to come! Faith and the staff have such a warm and welcoming demeanor too. And oh! There aren’t words to describe the Nutella Ice Cream she made for us!!! I will have sweet dreams of Love ‘n Faith tonight!

Faith is the consummate hostess and her team we’re very attentive and professional. We stopped by for a coffee. The coffee was delicious and Faith was making German double chocolate gluten free cake. We were still there when the next batch came out of the oven. We ordered one and shared it. The buttercream was silky and smooth and the cake was light and airy and the best chocolate cake I have probably ever tasted. Kudos to Faith and the team. Neighborhood gem.

I love supporting local businesses and going here feels particularly good. Not only is the staff incredibly friendly, but all food is so fresh you can really tell that everyone here really cares about the consumer experience. Love the Wake Me Up smoothie. It’s sweet without being too sweet and the right pick me up to keep one going all day long.
The baked goods are incredibly fresh and taste like they came right from the oven. And of course the ice cream, how cool is liquid nitrogen ice cream made right before your eyes. Love this place!

Stopped by Love N’ Faith during the blizzard known as «Jonas» and could not have been more impressed the hospitality and comfort that was provided in order to find refuge (or break cabin fever) from the snow.
The baristas were warm and cheery, as I thawed by icy face from the freezing. I only stopped to grab a mediocre cup of coffee before venturing back into the snow but the short experience left me wanting to go back on a warmer day and try some delicious pastries and breakfast foods.

I love the post-​workout smoothie here. It’s delicious and not overly sweetened. Both times I came here I got the same thing — but I’m thinking next time I go I’ll try their ice cream. I saw them make a fresh patch last time I was there and it looked super cool.
The place is also very clean and not packed out at all — which is great. I’m looking forward to going there again to try the ice cream and the baked goods!
