I’ve been pretty upset by the gentrification that’s been happening in Shaw with all of these new businesses opening up, but The Log Cabin Lounge does not fit that mold. This new lounge/club/cigar bar/liquor store not only retains the character of the neighborhood with it’s rustic décor, but also brings a new dicey but chic vibe to the area that can’t be properly described – it must be experienced. Some of my best nights start or end here and the service is spectacular. A must for brunch.

Not much of a selection except for your run-of-the-mill beers and big name liquors. I would say this place is more interesting as a museum more than anything. For liquors that don’t sell well in the neighborhood(scotch) they have some insanely old stuff from brands that probably haven’t been produced in decades and that is pretty cool to check out. But you’ll have to stare at it through the bullet-proof glass because, as the previous reviewer stated, this place is definitely dicey.

Run of the mill liquor store. Not the best customer service. But to be fair, that might have something to do with the three inches of bullet-proof glass between the customers and the cashier, the cage that goes all the way up to the ceiling, and the rotating tray through which customers pay. Classy! I’d give it three stars, but when I go here I’m literally afraid of being robbed/shot.
