I like where their heads are at, but made one easily avoidable, yet fatal, mistake: BEER. There were TWO(2) beer distribution tents. You read that correctly: TWO(2) beer tents for a festival expecting in excess of 10,000 people. It is incredible to actually read that in text. The two beer lines were exceeded only by the volume of complaining coming from devastated festival patrons. The music was pretty good, but my friends and I didn’t give it a chance after back-to-back 35 minute waits in the beer line(to utilize our pre-purchased beer tokens). While I’m not completely sure that this model was unintentional(as I can’t accept someone botching this aspect of a MUSICFESTIVAL so shockingly), I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt because otherwise it was just a predatory marketing ploy to pre-sell drink tokens with full knowledge most of the crowd wouldn’t have the patience to wait the line out. Alas, I’m not that cynical as I do believe these people to be honest. Just incompetent in event planning. Aside from that, I’m pretty sure every food truck on the eastern seaboard was there. Which I liked. Again, the music seemed solid and the venue cool. Lot of promise here, but non-consensual tee totaling is just not my idea of a music festival, hence the one star. Anyway, hopefully they can correct this next year and I would attend(with written assurances only, of course). Let the people drink.
