We’ve had a couple of policies with Jay and his staff for a few years now and we’ve never had a problem. We have never filed a claim, but we have switched auto carriers, made additions, changes, etc. over the years and we have always found the staff to be attentive and easy to reach (if they are busy on the phones just email them) — Jay especially. He’s answered our questions, very thoroughly, at all hours; even answering questions that I had before I knew to ask them.
A very professional agency that we are glad to give our business to.

Quick update to my review. I am in the middle of a claim. It’s complicated. Jay has been there with me constantly. No money I might have saved by going to some 800 number or website could compare to the value of having Jay’s help and reassurance. And, from the perspective of filing a claim, I can even better appreciate the advice he gave me long before the accident ever occurred.
As a young lawyer I was told by a wise old lawyer, «A lawyer is like a thermostat. The job is to keep the client comfortable.» Jay has always kept me comfortable. He’s one great guy. If everyone I dealt with was as good as Jay, things would be a lot easier.
I’m happy with State Farm too. But I’ve been a State Farm client for 27 years because of Jay Frye.

Just had a very bad experience with the staff. The staffer couldn’t answer my questions and instead of trying to find out the answer, she hung up on me. I emailed Jay Frye about it and basically was told it was my fault that the staff didn’t understand what I was asking for and that I dont know the DC laws on condo rules going into effect July 2015. What the heck? Take your money to another state farm office. This office doesn’t deserve your hard earned dollars.

Couldn’t agree with Nicole more! The staff is incredibly rude, unhelpful, inaccessible and inept. It was almost impossible to connect with someone at an appropriate time. They cannot figure out how to connect auto and home policies and they don’t know how to bill clients properly. I was not going to write a review after I had such terrible experiences but saw that they clearly had «friends» post favorable reviews.

I’m a little surprised that there are three 5-star ratings here. Smells a little fishy to me. I’ve been with State Farm for years now and have been meaning to shop around to see if there are better prices out there but I’ve been too lazy. The staff here is nice enough, but I find Mr. Frye a little smarmy and disrespectful.

I have been with State Farm insurance for over 25 years and think that Jay Frye and his team are the best. State Farm has always been there when I need them and the few claims I have had to make over the years they have handled the claim expeditiously and professionally.
I have been working with Celsi Bowen for probably at least 15 of the 25 years I have been with State Farm and she is the wonderful.
I am in a customer service related business and that is number one to me when picking something as important as insurance and that is just one of the many reasons to go with Jay Frye and his team.

Jay Frye is, by far, the most knowledgable insurance agent I have had the pleasure to work with spanning many, many years. He periodically reviews my policies and recommends any changes necessary. If you use a company where you don’t have an agent, you’re making a big mistake. You need someone who is looking out for you. Jay is an incredible agent who is always looking out for you. After asking all the necessary questions to find out what your needs are, he then explains all of the available coverages. He also will tell you, in no uncertain terms, the minimum coverage you should have. He doesn’t over-recommend so he can make more money. He tells you, honestly and with explanations, what makes sense. If you don’t want to follow his advice (mistake), that’s fine. Finally, if you ever have a question, you can always reach him with ease. This guy is the real deal. John in Washington, DC
