I’m here as we speak. There is no one in front of me. I have been waiting for over ten min. For a kebab. Isn’t a kebab something that you shave off a stick? Seems like it should take less time than a Big Mac. Just saying.

We ate here one time while staying next to it in the residence inn. Portions were great and food was delicious. They make the bread right in front of you which was really cool. The gyro and chicken kabobs were delicious.

Im from LA and love Middle Eastern food, but on a recent DC trip I found an awesome kabob place. I came around 1:30 a.m. when everyone from the nearby clubs started to rush in. My friends ordered our food, the cashier guy was super cool especially having to deal with people that late at night, it was pretty impressive. We sat down and 10 minutes later the food was brought to our table. The bread, the kabob and gyros were really fresh. Personally recommend the lamb kabob. We devoured everything and happily rode in our über back to our hotel feeling satisfied.

Expensive. Food is decent and the owner is stingy. Tried to charge us more for the side sauce when most kabob places give it for free. Also waited like 45 min for food when there was no line.

The best kabobs in town! The flavor is delicious and they recently added chick peas to their menu. Definitely come here if you are in the area. Also they got huge portions. You can have an amazing lunch with the leftovers :)

I should actually give this place less stars because of the HORRIFIC experience I had here. However I gave them a second chance and actually really really crave their sandwich and fries. The owner, or man that works late nights and often during the day is so sweet. There’s also a really nice gent that works behind the grill. I always opt for the gyro special. Comes with drink and fries. I love their fries. The sandwich is messy, fair warning. But is delicious and made to order! This place is never packed when I go, and they offer call ahead. Also, fairly good hours for DC. Only place super close by open this late. Although, I think their hours are wrong on Unilocal. First time I visited customer service was TERRIBLE. cashier girl greeted me, let me pay. Then went to the other side of the counter(closer to the food) and STARTEDFILINGHERNAILS. I’m sorry but this was NOTOKAY. That’s appalling. I hope for my own sanity she never does this again, and I have truthfully never seen her in the restaurant again. But this was the busiest I had seen the place and their she was breaking a major food place no-no.

Ive been obsessed with Grill Kabob ever since I was introduced to it ¾ years ago. When I lived literally less than 10 mins away from the one that used to be on M st in Georgetown, I ate there atleast 3 times a week. Now I come to this one every weekend. They give you so much food that youll always have some leftover if you wanted it for the next day. The kabobs are so good that Ive raved to my friends about it for months(some, years) and when they finally tried it, they became obsessed too! Definitely one of my all time favorite places to grab something to eat.

Not a big fan of this place. I feel like it’s pretty expensive for what it is, there is always a wait even when the place is empty and the sauce they put in your gyros isn’t a normal tsatziki and tastes like it is mainly mayonnaise.

During my trip here, a local recommended this place to me. I decided to give it a shot because I never pass on some good kabob. Surely I wasn’t disappointed!!! I went here late at night around 1:30 before they were closing and wow was the food amazing. I was happy that they were even open so late. The owner was so sweet, he came and greeted my friend and I. He made sure that we had everything we needed and were satisfied. I suggest ordering the chicken kabob plate! Yum :)

Love this place. Food is great. Love the chicken kabob plate and the gyros. Food has always been consistent and great every time I’ve come here. Service is just as great. The people that work here are friendly. Love the fact that they are open late night on the weekends. Much rather come here than to get the typical nasty fast food that’s usually only available so late at night.

You can’t go wrong with Grill Kabob. This is real meat marinated to perfection. Plan on waiting at least 10 minutes for your food to get ready or call ahead and place your order. This is the best real food in the neighborhood. It even beats the fancy schmancy places.

Disappointing late night dinner. It was practically the only thing open late on a Thursday night in the McPherson area so I stopped in for a chicken kabob platter. Beyond being a bit pricey, the food just wasn’t very enjoyable. Most notably, the yogurt sauce was awful. Initially it seemed fine but it had this extremely off-putting aftertaste. I couldn’t eat the salad with it already mixed-in and I didn’t put any on the chicken or rice. I think they need to revisit it because it could use some work. The chicken was okay, but wasn’t cooked long enough to get that much needed crispy kabob texture. Also, what kabob platter comes with two orders of rice? Why do I need white and brown rice, especially if the latter was much better? An actual side, not more rice, would have been nice.

This is the first time we came to Washington Dc from California and one of our friends recommended us to go to Grill kabob and we were looking for Grill kabob and we found it. ITWASSOOOOGOOD!!!¡ The staff are very friendly especially the owner. The owner was very friendly. He especially was very nice to my son and gave my son an ice cream, and a lollipop. The Grill Kabob is open until 2AM on the weekdays and until 4AM on the weekend. I wish there was a Grill kabob in California. We recommend Grill Kabob to anyone who comes to Washington DC!!! THANKYOU(:

So if you are looking for a really good, meaty gyro, this is the place. Very flavorful and insanely filling. If you eat it in one sitting you won’t need dinner, or you’ll want to eat a very light dinner. They used to have a lunch special for $ 8.99 but now, with tax its about $ 10. Very worth it though. I’ve tried the samosas and the curried chicken platter. They were ok. Tried the falafel. .it fell flat for my taste buds. Not enough flavor. The place is clean and offers indoor and outdoor seating. Cool place for lunch but kinda of expensive. So for me, my definite go-to for a great gyro but that’s about it. Hence the 3 stars.

Synopsis: Food is four stars. Service and prices closer to three but at least the food is hot and freshly prepared. The kabobs here are very good. I especially love they offer a veggie kabob, presumably made of chickpeas. The food is plentiful — ask for a box plentiful — and made on the spot. The kabobs come with rice, salad, and warm bread. If you like beef, the gyro basically fills your plate with meat. The food takes a while, even if there’s nobody in line. Partly a consequences of having it grilled on the spot but be aware this isn’t a quick pick up place. The staff is not unfriendly but neither are they friendly. At best they are friendly-ish. And the prices are really high. Veggie kabobs + drink + tax = $ 12.96, too much to make it a regular lunch place.

I had the chicken kobeeda, which was well-made and came with two sauces, two types of rice, a side salad, and a generous heap of naan. The chicken was tender and flavorful, just what I wanted. I bought a side of hummus, which was delicious and smooth, to go along with it. I love the purple seasoning that they sprinkle on top. The rice was cooked well and I thought their seasoned rice was delicious. I also liked their yogurt sauce(I *think* it was yogurt*) very much. The food kept well into the next day, when I promptly ate it for breakfast! Service was fine, moderately quick. I enjoyed watching the guy make naan.

Really tasty meat, rice and sauces! I mean these were really, really good. What wasn’t good was the salad. I know, nobody comes for the side salad. The side salad was warm iceberg ribs. You know, the hard part? Yeah, that. They put it in the same plate with my lamb so it ended up warm and wilted. The naan is gross. I love naan. I don’t think I’ve ever referred to naan as gross before in my life. It was burnt flour & water. Pretty bad. All of that being said the lamb was really good. Seasoned and cooked well. The sauce they give you on the side is so flavorful! You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have, my lunch.

I work near McPherson Square and I had a craving for kabob, but it was 26 degrees outside, so I went to the closest kabob place — which happened to be Grill Kabob. I probably wouldn’t go there again. Nothing wrong with the service — they are friendly enough. But I ordered the chicken kabob that was served over some type of fried rice. In addition, the traditional yogurt sauce that comes with kabobs was not yogurt — it was mostly mayonnaise. yuk! I ended up just eating the chicken, which was good, and leaving everything else. Even the salad that comes with it had that mayonnaise-y sauce. Too bad.

I had the Kobeeda(the ground beef one) plate and it was pretty great. For the plates, they give you a generous portion of meat, two kinds of rice, small salad, and flatbread. You can also ask for some extra salad dressing on the side(I think it’s mayo-based) if you want a dipping sauce. The chicken kabob and the lamb were also good, not dry or skimpy like some other places. Apparently you can get a gyro plate as well if you order the Chicken Kabob Plate and ask for gyro meat instead. I had a sample and it was pretty good, your standard gyro meat, sliced thin and tasty. That’s actually what i wanted to eat but learned you could get it after I was done with my kobeeda. There is a line at lunchtime but it moves quick. Tables inside and out but you have less of a chance of snagging one at prime time. For a lunch around the $ 10 mark, this is one that will satisfy your craving for grilled meat and fill you up until dinner. Downside is it also might make you want to take a nap when you get back to the office.
