Yeah… I came in with strep throat and a bad sinus infection once, and their diagnosis was pregnancy. (I wasn’t pregnant.)
Everyone here is rude, incompetent, and lazy. If you visit, you will probably leave sicker than when you arrived.

I saw Dr. Rebekka Christie to get a prescription refill before an international trip, and I’ve never seen a more unwelcoming doctor. Her bedside manner (and looks) are basically like Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. She said her name and I said «I’m xx, sorry I’m late, nice to meet you,» and she just looked at me.
I was late because parking is heinous, and she wrote «LATE» in giant thick red marker on the top of my form… not sure why, except to make some kind of impression (?), since the front desk obviously knew this. The rest of the form was filled out in black pen.
She monitored my heart and blood pressure, and checked my eyes with the light. These have zero to do with my mental health-​related prescriptions. She made me nervous so my breathing was fast and shallow (also having run from my parking spot) so I’m probably lucky to have gotten anything. I’d brought in my prescription bottles, and she said I’d have to get tested for ADHD through the center (wha??), and then seemed a little friendlier (or less hostile anyway) when she discovered that the med I need wasn’t on the restricted list (so maybe my request was actually legit?). After writing my prescriptions she walked out trailing off, saying «okay…» while staring at her clipboard, leaving me sitting there for a minute before realizing the appointment was over. I left the form (saying «late» on the top) on the desk thinking it was her own record, but it was for the front desk so I had to go back and get it.
Maybe this lady hates young people. Or some demographic that includes me. Ok, I understand the need to take precautions when someone wants certain prescriptions, but you can at least act like you’re giving your patient the benefit of the doubt while you run them through your tests, rather than treating them like the bane of your existence. You work in service, woman, remember? 2 stars because I got what I came in for.

Wow, I was so surprised to find this place reviewed on Unilocal.
Before SHS moved to its current location, it was on Eye Street. Believe me, SHS was worse then. By far. At least now there’s a way to make an appointment via computer, and I only had to wait for a few minutes before being seen.
The doctor I had – I forget his name, something Ashkenazi – was really nice and thorough.

I agree with Tina on her review with one exception: her rating. It should be 1 star, not 3. 3 is generous.
It took 4 months and 3 «doctors,» and an unthinkable amount of money on meds for SHS to ultimately refer me to the actual GW hospital for my ailment (which was Excema btw).
I never went back, no regrets.

11:15am appointment. Actual time of check-​up: 11:45. A 30 minute wait for a quick check-​up to refill a prescription? Ridiculous. Things did not improve once I got to the exam room and found myself in the hands of a questionably competent doctor.
Doctor: «Are you having sex with boys? Girls? Girls and boys?»
Me: «Uhhhhhhhhhhh.»
All I wanted was a prescription refill, but instead I got an interrogation, breast exam, blood pressure check, weight measurement, and pregnancy test. Seeing as how the BF has been gone for over a month, and Aunt Flow visited fairly recently, I was pretty sure there was no bun in my oven. I said as much to the doctor, but to no avail — she went ahead with the tests anyway (two pregnancy tests, actually, since the first one apparently didn’t respond properly to my cup o’ pee). Turns out, she wasn’t actually paying much attention to me anyway.
Doctor (while feeling me up): «I’m sorry, when did your prescription run out? And when was your last period? I wasn’t listening.»
Me: «…»
In the end, I escaped with my prescription refill, and just a little less dignity. With any luck, I won’t be having a repeat of this experience any time soon.
