Specialties
We are a small wine bar located in the historic neighborhood of Chinatown in Washington, DC.
We search around the globe for delicious wines to share with our customers. We focus on small, family owned estates, lesser known regions and varietals, and quality. Our list of over 460 wines offers various formats — over 40 wines by the glass, 25 wine flights, 10 wines poured by the ounce using the Coravin, and choices of half-bottles and magnums.
Pair these wines with our seasonal dinner menu prepared by Chef Brendan Mahon — and you are in for a delightful evening! Our dinner menu features house-made pastas, domestically sourced premium fish and meat, and fresh and seasonal ingredients.

Meet the Business Owner
Swati B.
Business Owner
Flight Wine Bar, owned and operated by husband and wife team, Swati Bose and Kabir Amir, opened in Penn Quarter at 777 6th Street, NW, Washington, DC in January 2014. Both Bose and Amir are certified sommeliers. Bose, raised in the Washington, DC area, recently relocated from New York City with her husband and business partner, Amir. The duo set out to open a welcoming and accessible wine bar with a friendly and knowledgeable staff that could cater to the city’s ever more discerning dining and wine drinking public. A former clerk for a federal judge, Bose decided to change careers and pursue a degree in Restaurant Management from the French Culinary Institute. Prior to launching Flight, she worked as assistant cellar master at New York’s Balthazar, a pourer at Wine & Spirits Magazine, as a wine server and bartender at Ardesia, and as an opening team member at Brooklyn Winery. Amir, a former banker, can always be found at Flight, and has in depth knowledge of all the wines they carry.
