Specialties
Dynerman Architects is a small, versatile, design-oriented architecture and design firm located in Eastern Market on Capitol Hill in Washington DC.
Led by Alan Dynerman, FAIA, the firm has earned a reputation for listening to and embracing our clients’ goals, professional service and design excellence.
Our office has built a practice that encompasses a range of project types from residential work of all scales — apartments and renovations to large custom homes — to conference centers and corporate offices to university planning studies.
History
Established in 1998.
Founded in 1998 by Alan Dynerman, FAIA, our office works from a point of view that is based on a few simple ideas:
that the nobility of architecture is rooted in its reality and utility;
that the two mediums of architecture are materiality and construction;
that the integration of architecture and site is the first measure of good work.
Embracing these essential ideas, our body of work does not cleave to specific styles or trends, formal or philosophical. From this stance, our office has built a practice that encompasses a wide range of project types.
The firm is founded on the passion that we have for our work. We believe that what we do is important; it is satisfying and at times humbling. As architects, we are entrusted with the responsibility and privilege to develop the arenas of human interaction.
