This place closing is a huge let-down. It was nice to have a Dunkin right here in Dupont. The coffee is always great, and there were some inexpensive healthy options.(As well as the usual inexpensive unhealthy options as well.) Oh well. If an entrepreneur is looking to open a Dunkin somewhere, come to Dupont!

I went in to get a morning caffeine fix. I rarely go to this one because I have found the employees to be rude in the past. The guy was changing the garbage and the other employee was out smoking. Standing by the register to order the guy finally came by to take my order. He started to fix my coffee drink and breakfast sandwich without washing his hands after handling GRBAGE. I said something he made a rude comment under his breath. The smoking employee came in and started to unload the freshly baked donuts without washing her hands! This place is gross!

Coffee is above average but not great. Pastries are okay. Bagels are very good here. Prices are good for the area. Location is good, and is next to Baskin Robbins. Service can be slow here, and they confuse your order if you don’t watch them. Overall, a good local donut and coffee place, but nothing worth going out of your way for.

Since we don’t have these in SoCal, I wanted to try Dunkin since it has been dubbed by a few friends as an east coast must-try. I was starting my sightseeing early so I grabbed a chocolate devil’s food donut and a coffee roll to go. The chocolate donut was very moist and more cakelike than a regular donut. The frosting was very sweet but good. The coffee roll was basically a cinnamon roll and it was light, moist and there was lots of sugary cinnamon in the center. My husband got an apple fritter(I didn’t get to taste it) and the special filled donut of the month(Monkey something or other with Reese’s peanut butter and chocolate). I took a bite and didn’t care for it because it was more peanut butter-banana and it didn’t advertise banana on the sign. I think the banana overpowered the peanut butter and chocolate. He didn’t really care for it either. I think how the donuts at Dunkin differ from Winchell’s or a mom and pop shop is the frying oil they use. The Dunkin type didn’t give me the usual heartburn and indigestion from the grease and the donuts actually tasted different. Atleast in SoCal, all of the donuts tend to have the same flavor and aftertaste(with the exception of Krispy Kreme). I kinda wish they’d open one in the Los Angeles area! The service was very friendly and quick at this location and I would definitely visit Dunkin again on my next visit to the east coast.

I’m obsessed with Dunkin donuts and I love their coffee. that’s why this location is so disappointing. they recently fired the one person who was making sure the weekend crew(as another reviewer noted) was actually decent. now they consistently suck all week long. I have them re-make my coffee every time I go, usually the 2nd try is still completely disgusting but after 1 re-make it’s hardly worth it to try again. the employees are complete retards. The other reviewer was correct in his observation that there is always at least 3 people behind the counter yet 2 of them are always just hanging around not doing anything, or moping the floor or doing some random task. I’m very upset they fired the new manager who was actually really improving the store, for awhile this was the best dunkin’ donuts in town. the one in columbia heights is better and doesn’t make me repeat my order 15 times and then still make it incorrectly. I can’t emphasize enough how horrible the staff is, their complete and utter disdain for customers couldn’t be more obvious. I I’ve personally pledged to write a daily letter to corporate HQ about the suckiness of this location until something is done. that’s how terrible this location is.

This is a local shop for me, a block away from home. The problem with this place is the waide variety of service and quality from visit to visit. The coffee strength varies every time I visit. I try to hitthis place on weekends mostly as their staff are always much more friendly and the coffee seems to be the best quality. The fact that I used to have to go to Bethesda for Dunkin’s coffee by the pound is alleviated by this local location so that’s something. I’m just not sure why the quality varies so much in this location. Now I just go to Java House down the street.

One star for a dunkins in DC. One star for consistency. They consistently take forever. They consistently dress sloppy. They consistently serve coffee that tastes like poop.

I found the guys that worked behind the counter at this Dunkin Donuts very friendly, helpful and polite, They had a good variety of donuts and the coffee was hot and fresh. My only complaint was that the donuts did not seem too fresh. I would go back again, though.

I am a HUGE Dunkin Donuts fan, and it saddens me immensely how bad this location is. The employees are incredibly slow – even during the morning rush. There are always 3 – 4 people behind the counter, but at least 2 appear to not be working. I walk down 17th street to work, and it adds a solid 10 mins to my commute just to stop for coffee. 3 out of 5 times they forget to give me hazelnut flavoring in my coffee. I started smelling my cup to double check the flavor and one of the clerks shouted at me that I didn’t trust her ‘coffee skills’ when she caught me sniffing. As much as I love Dunkin Donuts, I’m not gonna deal with rude, semi-incompetent employees just to get cofee & a donut.

This Dunkin Donuts location you can easily overlook if strolling along on 17th in Dupont Circle. It’s housed in the basement along with Baskin Robbins. I’m a big fan of Dunkin Donuts, so a particular location has to screw up pretty bad for me to give them less than three stars. I’ve been to this location numerous times due to the convenience. It’s about a 5 minute walk from the Dupont Circle metro stop. The service isn’t spectacular, but they only got my order wrong I believe once. There’s been a few instances where I had to repeat my order a few times. The service could be better. At least I can easily understand the employees who work here. There’s some Dunkin Donuts where I can barely understand the staff. I’ve ordered regular coffee and the iced kind. In both cases they make it the way I want it. If you’re in Dupont Circle and you’re tired of Starbucks, stop by Dunkin Donuts.

I find DD’s cake donuts too dense and dry, but their other donuts are better: light and sweet. The chocolate frosted donut is my favorite. This is also a Baskin Robbins. Today(in the 100 degree heat) nothing beat the raspberry/blueberry sorbet. But it turns your lips blue and makes you look odd. On the downside, my husband says their coffee is weak. Also, when he asks for cream and sugar, the staff pour them in, so it’s hard for the customer to control amounts.

Oh how I have missed Dunkin’ Donuts since moving to the left coast. I totally scoped this one out before visiting DC for a week. The Boston Kreme was just as I remembered it. I could really eat a dozen of those in one sitting. Now that I think about it, it’s probably better we don’t have any in San Francisco. Since it was hotter than ten hells in DC last week, I was glad to see that they now have iced coffee. However, don’t have them put sugar in it. It just sits on top and ends up being way too granular as you drink it through the straw.
