Dr Jay P Miller

Dr Miller is an excellent dentist who takes his time and care with his patients. He never pushes you to any services you don’t need. I’ve been seeing him for over 20 years, and will send my (future) kids his way.

Dr. Miller is as good as it gets. I have transitioned between about three dentists in the DC area and landed on Dr. Miller eight months ago. As indicated by other reviewers, he really takes a practical approach to dentistry and never tries to oversell you on any treatment. He breaks down the cost and benefit of each treatment option and helps you to make an informed decision. In addition, Dr. Miller is quick to call out the insurance company when a claim is denied. He fought for me through an appeal process in order to get my claim reimbursed. That takes a lot of time and energy, and he seemed pleased to do so.
As for the dentistry, I have had a lot of cosmetic work over the past few years, and Dr. Miller’s is by far the best. You can tell he takes it personal, understanding what an impact your smile can have in your professional life. He fixed up some cosmetic work that other dentists had botched, explaining to me the mistakes made in the past (where other dentists oversold unnecessary treatments) and did wonders for my teeth at a reasonable cost. All I can say is my wife is very happy.
Finally, I can’t say enough about the facility and the way Dr. Miller makes you feel. The facility makes you feel like you are in a small town’s dentist office, and his approach makes you feel like you are a part of the community as opposed to just another customer. So happy I finally found a dentist I can count on. My only regret is I wish I found him 8 years ago!

Dr Miller is by far the most caring and professional dentist I have met. He does not push for extra unnecessary work to be performed and is excellent at making you feel comfortable the entire time.

I have been seeing Dr. Miller for about 6 – 7 years. I think he is the best. He has a very small practice in his own home, so you do not feel like a nameless number in one of these huge offices. I think I take pretty good care of my teeth, so I don’t have any major issues, but Dr. Miller is thorough, professional and quick. His xrays are very fast. The most major thing I have done is have a set of teeth-​whitening trays custom made and he did the molds and the trays in his office over the course of 2 days. That was very reasonably priced considering what some of these teeth bleaching «salons» cost.
The other key thing I like about Dr. Miller is that he works with my insurance so for the basics, I have never had to pay out of pocket for annual visits.
I highly recommend him!

I have been going to Jay for 10 years. He is a fanatastic dentist. Other dentists told me that I needed to have a lot of work. Jay takes a very practical approach to Dentistry. He recommends what is needed and never pushes treatment that is not necessary. He has great manner and balances professionalism with charm.

I have been visiting Dr. Miller for several years. I agree with the previous review, his practice is not the typical big office scene. Instead you get a relaxed atmosphere and a very personal service.
His dentistry work is excellent.

His practice is not the typical. He used to be in a big firm but now runs his dental practice out of a home office and it’s just him. It makes it less daunting and annoying to go.
