This bar came highly recommended by a friend, and we quickly saw why. This is a cozy place, upstairs from the adjoining bar. After a flight of stairs, we found ourselves walking into a world free from the usual pretentiousness of a D.C. bar. Low lighting, 60s/70s rock, and a bar small enough to have a conversation with everyone there greeted us. Our drinks were strong, and we had a nice conversation with the owner/bartender. This meets the definition for a great bar for me. Of course, I do love dive bars, so that kinda helps. Don’t expect an extensive drink list, but expect a strong Jack & Coke and a good time with your friends in a dive bar. You may want to bring cash as the credit card machine was down on our visit. All in all, would I recommend this joint? Of course, go now.
