***IMPORTANTREAD***** OK first of all District is one place, Underground is another so don’t be under impression it’s one place because it’s not, in fact they are next door to each other with separate entrances DAFUQ is it called«DISTRICTUNDERGROUND» FOR???(was my thought too) the drinks are weak and the place is small, kind of similar to a basement party but the atmosphere is OK for a chill night out. If you prefer Hip-Hop, Pop and Rap then Underground is the spot you should go to and if your into Pop and that other fist pumping music then you may want to go to District. Make sure they don’t charge you $ 20 bucks for the cover because I’ve never been and it was worth the price but I’d pay $ 10 bucks or prefer to get in free, I mean after all it’s located in Adams Morgan Oh yeah go with fun folks :)

I went here on the 30th of Dec, so I wasn’t expecting it to be too crowded, but the drinks were expensive, the bartender upstairs wasn’t attentive at all and in her own world most of the time. Decent size dance floor, two bars, a decent selection of drinks, and the washrooms were cleanly. Not very diverse the night I went and it was quite crowded. One thing that crossed me were the shiny tile floors upstairs. Could pose a challenge to walk on since people like to spill drinks.

Went here for a crank party during MLK weekend. Loved the LED lights and the atmosphere it created. Awesome sound system; loved the bass. Good size dance floor, but can get really crowded. Two bars on opposite ends. Nice selection of drinks, but pricey at $ 8-$ 10. Coat check-in was $ 5. Two bathrooms were pretty clean.

This review is for dinner only, as I stopped in around 8:00 on a Tuesday evening, so I have no idea what this place is like late at night or on the weekends. The bar has a really laid-back vibe, as I wandered in after a run, still in my workout gear, and didn’t feel out of place. Though that may be because there were only two other people in there. They had about 7 or so TVs, each and every one of which was showing«The True Rocky Story», with sound, which I thought was kind of weird. Must have been an extremely slow night for sports? I was disappointed to find that their beer selection was absolutely pitiful. No drafts, and about 5 utterly predictable botttles-Bud, Bud Light, and the like. I went with an Amstel Light, not because I like it, but because it was the least bad of the beer options. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a sports bar with such a pitiful beer selection. Their menu consists mostly of bar food, including a build-your-own burger, with some surprisingly interesting topping options, so I went for a rare burger with goat cheese and artichoke hearts. The burgers don’t come with any sides, but I was really excited to see sweet potato tater tots, so I had to get an order. My «rare» burger came out somewhere between medium and medium-well, and as a result was really dry. The toppings were at least really fresh, but even the best toppings can’t make up for a bad burger. The sweet potato tots were absolutely amazing though, which is why I’m giving two stars. If they had a better beer selection, I would definitely go back for a beer and sweet potato tots… those things were delicious. Final complaint-they were expensive. I had downloaded a Groupon Now deal(which took them forever to figure out how to redeem), but before the discount, my burger, tots, and one Amstel Light came to just over $ 20 before tip. With so many better and cheaper options in the area, I see no reason to go back. Unless I get a craving for sweet potato tots!

Went on a Friday night. Very mixed & random crowd. I did like how they had the downstairs, upstairs, and then a semi-sort-of-rooftop/outdoor area. The bartender upstairs was funny & gave us a free shot which was nice. He made drinks well. Prices here are good($ 6 for vodka tonics). Music wasn’t bad(mix of house/hip-hop/top 40’s). Seemed like one of the nicer places in Adam’s Morgan… although the $ 10 cover charge for girls & $ 20 cover for guys wasn’t really worth it. The biggest shock was the $ 5 coat check — not even NYC charges that much and heck — we overcharge everything in the city!

A very relaxed spot on a Monday night. Great prices on beer and a awesome bartender to boot. My friend’s cocktails nearly killed her they were so strong. She really paid for them the next day.

Had the opprtunity to expierence Underground during a soft opening. Great atmosphere for a small intimate groups. The 10,000 plus led lights are the main attraction coupled with the location of DJ. Only time will tell if this will an Adams Morgan destination.

Nice place, really cool staff, good music, strong drinks and I love the sweet potato tater tots. A little pricey, but what place isn’t in DC
