DC Wisey’s

I’m not a sandwich person… unless those sandwiches come from Wisey’s. While I have never physically visited the storefront, we will occasionally order for lunch delivery. The food has always arrived in approximately an hour, which is pretty fast by my standards.
I highly recommend the California Sandwich (grilled chicken, avocado, alfalfa sprouts, tomato, and honey mayo) or the Chantilly (brie and roasted turkey with cranberry jam/​mayo). Both are very hearty and you are given your choice of bread — I typically stick with either a croissant or focaccia. I also request for the sandwiches to be prepared hot (i.e. like a panini).
The prices are extremely reasonable for the portions and the ingredients are always fresh. I also really like their Half & Half (Arnold Palmer). I’ve also only heard great things about the baked goods here, so it seems like you can’t really go wrong. Definitely a great lunch option!

A classic. Chicken madness or cali no honey mustard are essential comfort food. And they deliver to 14^th street!

Awesome panini! Was a little hesitant about the honey mustard on it, but it was a great touch and I’m very happy with it! Hope to be back soon!

Food was delicious! Delivery was fast! Price was reasonable! What more can you ask for.

Awesome place! Found my favorite lunch place for work! My fav meal is the California burger! The bread comes in many choices, the meat feels so organic (lol), the proper are nice and they also sell fruits and many things. Very clean up stairs to eat at and enjoy your time while watching CNN.

I love all the huge Tv’s they have here & that’s about it. I don’t find the sandwiches to be good for the price that they are & I find them to be pretty time consuming. They seem to take their sweet time.

Hi think is a great place for a good wrap. Fast tasty and cheap They give a lot for you money, only thing missing lil small had too eat there but it mostly takeout place or delivery

This place has a good variety, good food, affordable, and delivers pretty much always. With most DC prices being ridiculous, you can’t really ask for much more.

I love the food from wiseys. But when I live two blocks away and have confirmation that my order is on the way I don’t expect it 45 minutes later. And Eat 24 is no help. They are in the wrong time zone. I ordered at almost 11pm and when I asked for an update then told me my order had been received around 8pm. This is absurd. Someone needs to check the system. I love this place and want to continue ordering but until they can use a service that actually cares about customers I’m not sure I can. This isn’t the first time I’ve had a horrible delivery experience. Ive only looked the other way because I like the food. Anyone complaining is completely warranted.

Them oreo cookies though…
What can I say that the rest of the reviewers haven’t already.
The sandwiches are delicious, the strawberry lemonade is great, and they deliver.
What more can a person ask for? O i know, the oreo cookies.
If you order from here and don’t get at least two of them things you messed up.

Came here again after a horrible experience elsewhere, this time I had the Georgetowner or something like that and my dining companion had the Burgermadness? Both great, but what makes this place so amazing is its service. Everyone from the cashier to the food runners are nothing short of welcoming and make you feel as if you’re a priority. I could see myself returning here weekly.

Not a bad spot for quick brunch, coffee and a spot to do some work. It’s a townhouse remodeled into a multi unit restaurant. Second floor has several tables, comfy lunge chairs, TVs, free wifi and outlets for laptops. Had the veggie omelette, American Breakfast special and two coffees. Scored the free Oreo cookie with the Unilocal check in! (Yummy cookie btw). They have soy milk but no almond milk for coffee substitute. Food was good, fresh made and a good portion. No complaints. Good spot. I wasn’t blown away but yes good spot. I’d come back.

I’m pretty much obsessed with this place. Wisey’s is reliable, tasty and affordable. I recommend the bacon breakfast special, very good and very filling and comes with a side of fruit. If you’re not looking for breakfast all of the salads and sandwiches are fresh and tasty as well.
The staff is always pleasant and knowledgeable when going into the shop and the delivery men are punctual and friendly as well.

Sandwich was great, but I can’t afford to keep getting delivery from this place. To charge $ 3 for delivery that takes 1 – 2 hours is just ridiculous. Than you have to tip the driver on top of that.
Too bad, cuz the food is great!
On a sidenote, Wisey’s must watch Unilocal like a hawk – they called me 20 minutes after I posted this review to make sure *everything was ok.* Thoughtful, I guess – but delivery price is still too high! ;-)

My job orders from Wisey’s every few weeks. I normally don’t order out but I had forgotten my lunch so I did. It was nice that something is open so late as I work night shift.
We ordered at least 6 different subs. It came quickly and mine was delicious. I got a sub that was like an Italian sub but had sweet pepper relish on it. It was the right amount of heat with out it being over powering. However it was over all a bit more oily then a typical Italian sub. They did leave onions on it when I asked for no onions which made my 1^st bite less then pleasant. I also go a chocolate chip cookie that was great. It was nice and soft. Great for a late night treat. It came with a pickle and a bag of chips.
I did doc them a couple stars for 2 reasons. They forgot someone’s order and totally messed up someone else’s. It was suppose to be a wrap with a bunch of things removed from it (onions, lettuce) By the time we realized someone’s meal was forgotten they had already closed for the night. Over all a decent place for late night food.

I really like Wisey’s. It’s conveniently located, the service is quick, and the guys at the counter are always really nice.
Just came here the other day with the fam and we had ice cold smoothies on a sweltering day. They let us create our own and customize them so it was more than just one type of fruit. I got strawberry mango and my mom got peach, mango, and protein powder. The smoothies were large and absolutely delicious (the best I’ve had in DC!) and they were $ 5 each. I think that’s pretty decent compared to fancier places that give you less fruit and charge you more.
I also unlocked a deal on Unilocal when I checked in there and got a free cookie. Don’t forget to check in on Unilocal if you go!

I was looking for a place to relax, get a snack, and read for an hour, and I was hoping to skip the chain coffee shops and try a local place. Unfortunately, I came to the wrong place. While they have a fair amount of seating upstairs, every room had a blaring TV (playing vapid cable news), which made for a distracting atmosphere. The TVs actually had signs saying not to try to turn them off. Perhaps your customers are trying to tell you something?
The food I got wasn’t bad, but it was served in a carry out container rather than on a plate, and when I tried to eat it I found my utensils cutting through the container.
They seem to do a brisk carry-​out business and it seems like it would be a reasonable place to just stop for a quick bite. But as a place to study or read I’d skip it, and overall I didn’t find anything to write home about.

I usually come to Wisey’s if I’m in Georgetown for breakfast or lunch. They have an awesome California panini that has chicken, avocado, and sprouts. Their smoothies are great as well. It’s a small place but I’ve never had issues with finding a place to sit. they have bar stools. The staff is always nice and your good is made quickly.

Fine for what it is… before heading in I knew that this was one of those quick and relatively inexpensive lunch spots. I had one of their wraps (Christina’s favorite, I think?) and it was pretty good. Nicely toasted, fresh ingredients and tasty in a Panera-​ish way. All in all respectably good, but forgettable.
I will say that their smoothies looked good as did the gigantic cookies, so I may very well be back to try those. This a convenient place to eat if you’re in search of a quick bite after some M Street shopping… their service was efficient during a busy time which I appreciated.
Be forewarned that the seating area upstairs is kind of haphazard and strangely arranged :-)

I really like this place. I have ordered delivery or they have catered work events.
The smoothie I had was sweeeeet but still refreshing.
The cookies and sweets are addicting but the pies were not that good.
The breakfast sandwiches are decent if you eat it fresh
The Nutella banana croissant is soooooo good but messy.
The salads are decent too, specifically the Asian crunchy one. I can’t remember the name.
You can order them thru Eat24 which is great too.
They are located in the Georgetown area.
The chicken salad wrap is very good and the fresh paninis are too.
Delivery can be awhile but keep in mind where they are coming from. Staff have always seemed pretty friendly. The menu is huge and has plenty of variety from you and your party to choose from. They also cater which is nice too so you can order for larger groups.
I think this place is worth a visit or three!

I love it when i get more than what i expected…
I order an egg&chz on croissant, it comes in a container surrounded with fresh pineapple and melon. I order a sub, it comes with a REAL sliced pickle. I buy a strawberry lemonade, there are ACTUAL strawberry and lemon slices inside. I get a delicious homemade oreo cookie and give the cashier a dollar, he gives me back change! This place is awesome

Please know that it kills me to write this review (Disclaimer what I am about to describe COULD be an isolated event)
Yesterday I order a mango smoothie and fresh mixed fruit… harmless right. When i finished the fruit and drank half of my smoothie I started feeling flush, and started cold sweating (it was freezing yesterday). I asked for the bathroom keys and ran up stairs. TMI but I was in the bathroom puking my eyes out for 20 mins.
The fact that it was soooooo immediate, I think it was food poisoning due to poor food handling.
FYI I ate every light that day: waffle fries and a funnel cake.
Other than that both my smoothie and fruit was great, but unfortunately I will NEVER eat there ever again.

Menu has lots of options for veggies and meat eaters. Soups were homemade, hot and yummy! My husband’s spinach salad had lots of feta, walnuts and strawberries. My veggie burger was easily changed to come on spinach to avoid my gluten issue. It could have been hotter, but the baby spinach was fresh and the cheese was well melted. The honey mustard made it grand!
My chai tea hot and richly flavored! My hubby loved the oatmeal cookie that was free with our check in! It’s a tiny hole in the wall, but the staff was friendly and efficient, the bathroom was clean and the food was tasty.

I’ve only ever ordered from here for lunch with my coworkers. I was in Georgetown, and decided to grab lunch before heading to work. It’s a cute little shop with seating upstairs as well. Food is made to order, and I got it in no time. I see why we order here for lunch so often.
