DC Vape Joint

Stopped in because my vape broke and it’s the closest shop to where I live. Staff took the time to look into what was wrong with it, and even though they didn’t have the part I needed, were super nice and helpful!

Went in to buy an herbal vaporizer. Selection was small, but the service was informative and patient. Extremely helpful and walked out with a good purchase.

OK. so I have been vaping for a long time but have always ordered my hardware and juice online. I have been having a hard time finding new flavors recently so I wanted to try a local shop to test out a lot of juices at one time. I was excited to finally go to a vape shop and meet some fellow vapers and try some new flavors. This place didn’t really impress me. Great location in Adams Morgan (even if it is in a basement), but the setup inside just doesn’t inspire a ton of confidence. The juice bar is not very impressive, and honestly doesn’t seem very sanitary. Sure they have plenty of drip tips and rubber sleeves for the tips, but the whole setup didn’t look like it was cleaned very often. Plus they were all older tanks like Mini Protanks with eGo batteries, that while perform admirably, are about a generation or two behind the times so you never get a great idea of the flavors or how they would perform in a newer setup. I didn’t have my RDA with me, so I don’t know if they allow you to drip-​test juice in your own atty, but I didn’t get the impression they offer this.
The selection of juice was okay. they only had a couple brands I had heard of (Five Pawns, Mount Baker, a couple others), and a handful I hadn’t heard of before or since. They also didn’t have a lot of nicotine level variety. a few of the flavors I was interested in only came in 6mg or higher.
The one guy working there was nice. he seemed to know his stuff and luckily I was the only customer in there for the majority of my stay so he was able to dedicate most of his attention to me. Helped me find flavors that would appeal to me, and had some good hardware advice. They even have some very well-​priced RDA clones, which surprised me because generally it’s hard to find hardware in brick and mortar shops that is priced competitively.
In the end I got a bottle of juice, mostly because I felt bad taking up so much of his time without really finding a flavor I fell in love with, and I want to support my local vape businesses. I probably won’t go back anytime soon though. Recently tried My Vapez in Virginia, and they had a much better juice selection as well as drip-​testing.

I love DC Vape Joint. These folks are happy to help you try flavors, answer questions and hook you up with some nice gear. There’s even a small lounge in the back to relax, hang out and vape in. From Baltimore and sometimes work in DC found DC Vapes on Unilocal.Came through the shop needing to buy some juice and tripped over a great Vape shop. The two times I had been there the employees were very knowledgeable and helpful to someone new to the Vape world. They carry a lot of new and different inventory as well as many different juice and juice types. Very professional and friendly. Came in got what I needed and was met with all the information I wanted to know about batteries and vape tanks, equipment ect. I would recommend if ur in the DC area to atleast try them out and I can almost promise your experience will be just like mine. On a 1 out of 5 scale I would give them a 4.5. Thanks guys for all your help I am definitely recommending you to my friends in the vape world.

These guys are cool. The shop has a really awesome selection and you can sample from all of their flavors, ask them questions, and get the low-​down on all of the new gadgets. Definitely worth checking out!

One of the best Vape shops I’ve found in my travels. These guys have a great juice line up !! Great for builds, juice and anything Vape related. If your in DC check them out!

A shop run by a bunch of stoner amateurs. I once walked in and bought 8 tobacco juices and asked the guy to order me 20 more for me to pickup next week. Next week comes I go to their so called store and I was told that they found out what I was doing with the juices. I got accused of reselling them and what not and they wouldn’t sell me more than 5. How dumb do you have to be to treat your customer like this? (the first time I went in there I spent over $ 700) That is total disrespect. On top of that the juices they sold had the website JJUICE on them and I told him that I could go on that website and buy it for probably half the price. He was dumbfounded. What an idiot.
As an avid vaper, I tried to help a local vape shop kick start their business. You can safely assume that I haven’t step foot in their shop again, too bad for them they probably missed out on $ 1000s worth of sales.

Total Newb Alert: As a casual when-I’m-stressed or social smoker, I’ve known for a long time that I needed to stop completely. Obvi I don’t live under a rock, so I’ve heard about these new fangled «vaporizers» and know people who have completely quit cigs-​even after 20+ years with them, and wanted to learn more. Alas, my internet searching left me with more questions than answers… enter DC Vape Joint. A friend of mine (who is a pack-​a-​day kinda guy) and I stopped by the other night whilst in the area for Happy Hour. I wanted to pop in the find out more about these devices, how they work (and lets be honest, how much it was gonna cost me). Talked with a few of the guys behind the counter– they very nicely (and without making me feel too foolish for not knowing ANYTHING about vaping) explained the ins and outs, lingos… one even let me try his (with a guard cover ‘natch) to see what it would be like. Lo and behold, loved it and both myself and my friend purchased a starter kit each. I went for the more moderately priced one (about $ 40?) while he got the mack-​daddy, adjustable-​levels bigger one (maybe $ 80 or so?). His came with some replacement parts, whereas mine came with a «disposable» tank (see? I’m totally learning the lingo!). They guys got us all set up, let us taste some various flavors before deciding and filled em up. We tested our new toys while enjoying HH next door… and before we left AdMo for the night, we popped back in Vape Joint to buy some more flavors/​parts because we were officially hooked :)
Thanks to the guys who were there on Tuesday 9÷23− I want to say you said your name was Eric, but I may be totally wrong on that. Either way, thanks for your help, kindness and stellar customer service. Anyone thinking of quitting «the hard stuff»…check this place out, you wont be steered wrong.

Easily my new favorite place for resupplying juice, coils, batteries and tanks. The extremely friendly, knowledgeable and inviting staff will advise and help you in selecting a product. Also, the 3 star review from John F. is obviously from someone who has not actually shopped around for vapes in this town. Their mark-​up is extremely reasonable in comparison to other shops in this town. This is one of the most expensive places to live in America so yes, equipment and juice will be slightly more expensive than it would be in a gas station in Iowa.
On top of that, you can rest assured that if anything goes wrong with equipment you’ve purchased from there or from anyone else, DCVJ employees are a great resource for assistance and troubleshooting.
I wish I could find something critical to say about DCVJ but I honestly couldn’t be happier to have found this place. I do wish they had a website just to check prices before going in but frankly it’s a small price to pay for such an excellent establishment.

I’m visiting from California and I forgot all my vape stuff. I found this spot through Unilocal,came here and now I am set for the rest of my trip!
I am really picky and I asked to smell the flavors and they ended up having every flavor to try! I got Scooby Snacks, it’s delish. This spot reminds me of the vape shops in Berkeley back home. The hospitality is awesome! Thanks guys!

These guys really are the only game in town. Very nice to deal with and fun location with tasty juices.
Price is the only reason I wouldn’t give 5 stars. That may not be really up to them though.

Amazing! Unexpected location down a narrow staircase but super-​friendly staff like Erik make it wonderful and the music is chill and the selection and quality of e-​cigs can’t be beat. The prices are reasonable too and you can chill out with one of the staff’s dog, Duncan, who is adorable. I’m surprised this place isn’t more crowded (but a part of me is glad that it is not) and the people I’ve met there are fun to talk to while ur gaping.
Did I mention its the only vape joint in D.C.

i have been looking for a good vaporizer for chilling purposes, I purchased 2 online and was not happy at all. I finally went into DC Vape Joint tonight and was extremely satisfied (I am currently sitting on my couch vaping away to Tiger Blood). Eric explained everything I need to do, how to set it up and also what pieces I need to start up. I cant wait to go in and just chill because the environment is very comfortable and laid back. Overall great experience!

Can not get enough of this damn place. Eric and Ryan are freaking AWESOME! Super helpful. Great selection of flavors, tanks, starter kits and everything in between for VERY reasonable prices.

DC finally has a store dedicated just to Vaping. Like adams morgan the staff was über laid back and professional.
I entered to purchase something for my Brother and ended up buying my own start up kit. I really enjoyed they Vape Bar in the front of the store that allowed me to try a number of the e-​juices before buying them. They have a great selection of juices from 0 nicotine to strong. The sales person did a great job explaining what I was looking at and the differences between the products. They are a start up business so they have a limited selections of vapors, but what they do have is great.
I will definitely be back again.

The staff here are really helpful and will show you how to do it. I’m happy with my vape and love that they fill my oil up for me when I go in for refills. It’s nice and rare to get such friendly service.

When I started going to this place I knew nothing about vaping. I just knew I wanted to stop smoking tobacco.
The first time I went into the shop it looked like I was in my parent’s basement, but felt like I walked into my favorite pub. The staff is friendly and welcoming and I immediately felt comfortable.
I was embarrassed to tell these guys that I had no idea what I was doing, but they were really cool about getting me started. They were happy to help me find the right gear and show me how to use it.
The best part of my first experience had to be (what I call) «the bar». This is where you hang out and sample the wide range of e-​juice that the shop sells. There are all types of flavors and nicotine levels; everything from fruity candy style flavors with no nicotine in them, to more serious tobacco flavors with the same amount of nicotine as your current Marlboro. (Just a side note: All e-​Juice flavors can be purchased with zero nicotine).
So, now I no longer smoke tobacco, I get to enjoy vaping, and I have a new place to hang out.
Go to DC Vape Joint… You’ll be glad you did.
