DC Sound Stage really surprised me. Given the size and location I was expecting a dive bar, but it was actually quite nice (not that I don’t *like* dive bars … but they have a grungy element that just wasn’t present here). But yet it was still comfortable and casual and a perfect neighborhood spot. A small little venue to hear local music, with some books there to read, tables and chairs, lots of bar stool seating, and a freely available pool table. Band break music was way too loud for me, but that could’ve just been me. Bathroom was nice and relatively clean.
All in all I was extremely pleasantly surprised and would definitely go back.
