Specialties
We offer fun Salsa lessons in metro DC on Saturdays. The classes are very clearly and logically taught, so that beginners feel comfortable. But advanced dancers are moved quickly and learn a huge amount. Class is always loads of fun!
We start with registration at 12:45 pm and divide into groups by levels. Around 2:15 pm have a break with open dancing so everyone can mingle, chat, dance, and have a snack. After the break we continue with more instruction. Typically, after class whoever is interested goes out to eat together nearby.
Students who have learned many moves may be invited to join a student team if they are interested. DanceInTime does shows and demonstrations for events large and small in the DC area and beyond. It’s all great exercise, great fun and a wonderful way to make new friends.
And note that DanceInTime offers additional classes as well. These are at clubs, studios, on campuses, etc. Specialty programs are also sometimes run at libraries, festivals or other venues. These additional classes and activities can always be found on the website on the «Classes» or «What’s Happening» page.
Welcome to the joy of Salsa dancing with DanceInTime!
History
Established in 2001.
DanceInTimeProductions has taught Cuban Salsa (and other Latin dances) in the DC metro area for fifteen years. Classes are taught by Barbara Bernstein with assistance from many able dancers who kindly share their talents.
DIT has produced shows for the Kennedy Center, the DC Convention Center, provided entertainment at an NBA game at the Verizon Center between quarters, as well as parties/events of all kinds. Advanced students sometimes refine their steps by joining the DanceInTime performance team. Though we are a diverse group, we share a common love of Latin music and dancing that bonds us in a meaningful way. And we work hard to make newcomers feel welcome!
