I work for myself and need my laptop daily. After another shop told me I’d have to leave my computer for 5 – 7 days, I called Kamal. I dropped my computer off with the part at 10:30 and picked it up at 12:30. Couldn’t be happier with the service and quality of the work.

As previously reviewed, CyberLaptops is a small one-​man shop inside a condo building. So don’t expect anything fancy or a written guarantee.
But Kamal is friendly, quite reasonably priced, does good work, and offers a very quick turnaround. He started diagnosing my laptop as soon as I arrived, and had it fixed in 2 business days. He charged about the same as Dell’s estimate, though without the 3-​week turnaround (and shipping costs).
When I noticed an additional follow-​up repair needed, he completed it within hours and didn’t charge any extra. I highly recommend him.

I took my macbook air here after I spilled coffee all over it. It was still turning on so I knew it wasn’t completely toast, but I was having keyboard issues. The Apple store was really inflexible and refused to open the laptop up to assess the damage, instead insisting I needed new everything.
Took my laptop here and they fixed it or about half the price Apple was quoting me. They opened it up and replaced the keyboard which was all that was necessary. It’s been a week since I picked it up and everything is working great. One other thing — the office is on the ground floor of an unassuming apartment building where you need to be buzzed in by the front desk and then walk down a hallway and knock on the door for Cyberlaptop. So appearances might not inspire confidence, but I recommend wholeheartedly

My PC would not start. I took it in at about mid-​day and they worked on it right away. Unfortunately I needed a new hard drive, but they had one in stock and recovered and transferred all of the data from my damaged one. They answered all of my questions and called me a couple of times to keep me apprised of the progress. I picked it up a few hours after drop off. I couldn’t ask for any better service.

Had an issue with my AC jack and needed it replaced. I am pretty knowledgable with computer hardware repair but have no clue how to solder something. They had it fixed extremely fast which is great. Price was a little steep for the part needed but pretty low compared to having it fixed at somewhere like geek squad or sending it off to the manufacturer. Good company, great speed, solid work. Would recommend.

My laptop touchpad wasn’t working so I took in my laptop. I was informed the next business day that the problem was with my the cable connecting my touchpad and that repair would be $ 135. I opted not to get it repaired as I only paid $ 400 for the entire laptop.
I was able to buy the cable I needed for $ 5 on eBay and computer screwdrivers for $ 7 and was able to replace the cable myself for $ 12 vs $ 135. While the repair price was steep, the $ 30 fee to diagnose the problem was well it.

When ordering parts through Kamal, try getting the actual invoice to see how much profit he made by lying about the actual cost!!!
Although the service fee seems quite low, I want to caution others to be aware of the actual cost of the computer parts you order. Are they the actual brand or some generic?
Of course they are cheaper, but the man should not lie about them being brand name parts when they are NOT. I started to question this after the second visit when Kamal wanted me to Pay more for new parts & finally said that the parts he purchased previously was generic. (See the inconsistency?)
A $ 150 part instead of $ 50.

It’s a little hard to find — you have to cut across the lobby of an apartment building — but otherwise my experience was great. They quickly diagnosed my problem, and made the repairs same day and at a reasonable price.

The 5-​star reviews aren’t lying — the service here is amazing and they clearly know what they’re doing! Got my virus-​ridden laptop that wouldn’t boot back in a day, with all problems resolved and all my data recovered. I highly recommend CyberLaptop!

I recently brought my laptop in with a busted power socket. The pin inside the socket had broken off. I’m a tech guy so I ordered the replacement part myself, but I’m not so good that I could solder it in myself. Cyberlaptops took care if it extremely quickly and for a reasonable price. Highly recommended.
Note– The entrance is through a residential building, which is weird, but so it goes.

Very small one-​man operation near Logan Circle. Kemal fixed my computer in just a few hours and was able to recover all data. He didn’t try to sell me more than I needed and all charges were discussed up front. Very honest and we’ll run small business. Don’t let appearances fool you.

Great, fast, and affordable laptop repair service from Kamal. Dropped my laptop off on Monday at 3pm and had it back on Tuesday afternoon. Quoted me a fair price and stuck to it — just under $ 150 to replace the power port on my two-​year-​old 13″ notebook.
Kamal is located inside 1440 N Street, an apartment building with small offices in the lobby. The person at the front desk will let you in, make a right through the door and he’s in suite 6 at the end of the hall.

My poor laptop had been struggling for months but I kept pushing off taking it in for fear of having to pay a ton out of pocket to fix it. I finally decided I needed to take action, and I found CyberLaptops on Unilocal.The same day, I gave them a call and they told me to come in whenever, no appointment needed.
I knew it was in a drugstore (they’re currently moving to a new location, so soon this won’t be the case). So I walked in and Kamal was able to diagnose the issue within 5 minutes. He patiently answered all my questions and even waited while I called my dad to discuss what I wanted done and get a second opinion on the pricing. I’m not very knowledgeable when it comes to how much this should cost, and I wanted to be sure I wasn’t getting ripped off. Turns out, Kamal charged an extremely fair price for data recovery and a new hard drive ($ 265 + tax). Less than 24 hours later, my computer was up and running like brand new!
I highly recommend coming to Kamal for any computer issues. He offers fair and reasonable pricing, quickturn repairs, and excellent customer service. Next time I have a computer need, I know where I’ll be going.

After tragically spilling hot tea on my laptop in the midst of finishing a paper for class, I frantically went to CyberLaptops to retrieve my data. The service was great and I was able to get the data off my computer within an hour. Kamal was friendly and made me feel as good as possible given the situation. Definitely a great place for PC repairs!

I came in to have my desktop PC diagnosed since the computer would not power on. CyberLaptops is in a tiny room inside a drug store, so quite unassuming. However the man present was very helpful and offered to check out my PC while I was there. He ended up needing a few extra hours to diagnose the situation, but he found the problem and offered to repair. I opted not to repair (for the time being) since the parts would be expensive, but he did not mind at all and he did not try and upsell any service or pressure me into repairing. He even explained the technical problem to me when I asked and did not withhold any information. The diagnosis fee was very reasonable, $ 25 + tax, and all of the above happened within a few hours. Again, I highly recommend.

Got an SOS call from my daughter last night after a little water spilled on her MacBook air and it would not boot. Compounding the problem was an issue with her google drive — not everything she thought was stored there appeared. Term papers and other important schoolwork were missing. Disaster loomed.
She ran to the Apple store before they closed last night and they were less than helpful.
I’ve repaired a few laptops myself and didn’t panic, but I’m not in town and needed to find someone trustworthy. I read the Unilocal reviews and felt confident sending her to CyberLaptops first thing in the morning. She was there as it opened and by 10:15 called me to say all the data was recovered and she’d have machine back by the end of the day. The price was reasonable for an emergency repair and the peace-​of-​mind was priceless.
Sometimes all those reviews about lifesavers are true! I hope you are as fortunate as we were.

Maybe it looks suspicious that all these ratings are 5 stars, but there is really nothing that I could ding CyberLaptops for doing wrong. I’ve brought my laptop to this place 2 different times, about 1 year apart, and the service has been outstanding throughout. Had a wi-​fi card replaced in 2013, and it’s still working well in my laptop. More recently cracked my screen by dropping it and had it replaced as well, and the service was fast and completed earlier than expected. They even gave me a loaner laptop to borrow while repairs were made, which didn’t take long at all. The dude running the place called and left a voicemail as soon as I could go pick up my newly-​repaired laptop. All in all, excellent experience and the business seems to be run with integrity, so I would recommend it to strangers and friends alike.

Came in at 11am and had my computer fixed and back by 1:30pm! Had to have my power cord replaced and a new jack put in, so that my computer would charge properly. He also cleaned out my fan — now my computer runs quietly and doesn’t get super hot. Might’ve been a little expensive, but I have no idea how much computer repairs should cost, and he did it fast… so was worth the trip. Highly recommend it.

My printer ran out of ink. New ink was $ 90. A new printer was $ 90. I needed to print something immediately. I came here. The guy here was very helpful, and when I realized I had forgotten my wallet, he let me owe him for the printing. Nice.
I came back again a few days ago for a little bit more of the same… Only this time I had to scan stuff, too. The same guy assisted me every step of the way and I was done in a jiffy. So much better than Fed Ex.
