I was trying to find some lighters after another CVS was sold out. The guy at the counter told me they don’t sell lighters… Really? A CVS that doesn’t sell lighters? Either you’re lying to me or you don’t stock basic pharmacy essentials. Either way, one star.

I don’t know why the people that work at this CVS move so damn slow. It truly amazes me! It always takes at least 1 hour to fill prescriptions…1 hour, seriously? I have never waited more than 20 minutes at even the worst CVS’s. The pharmacists and pharmacist techs could also be a little friendlier, although they are not outright rude. Also, don’t even think about getting here right when the pharmacy opens, because the staff won’t be there yet– they are usually late. I am happy that they have self-checkouts here since the workers like to move like they’re being forced to walk off the plank. I guess I’m happy that they also have security here since there are often many kids that used to come here and act rowdy and steal stuff; and also run around the store like it’s a playground. This CVS is definitely a major upgrade from the little tool shed/trailer that they used to have before they revamped the Waterfront metro area.

In general I expect CVS to be a little overpriced and the service to be a little slow, but I also expect it to have the little essentials when I need them and the store to be well-maintained. This CVS meets all of those expectations, the staff is friendly and the store is clean. I have not done any business with the Pharmacy or Photo departments, so I can only speak for the general merchandise and check out areas, but I’ve had several positive experiences here.

This may not be the worst CVS in the world, but it’s certainly not very good either. The people are generally friendly, but that’s about the only thing that this place has going for it. They have a decent selection of the sort of things you run into a CVS for, but they are definitely lacking on the food/snack end of things. I usually like a candy fix on the way home after a long day, but they don’t have very much and what they do have is all that generic CVS stuff anyway. The pharmacy is amazingly slow. If you drop off a prescription expect to have to wait at least several hours. Then when you show up expect another half hour while they search through the huge plastic bins haphazardly packed with bags of pills. When your time finally times they basically throw it at you, demand you to sign something, and then kick you out. But that’s alright. You don’t want to hang around the CVS anyway… at least not this one.
